Everyone always has something to say about the early modle of the caliber the 07'. I have not a single issue with my Caliber Mechanically since I've owned it. With just absolutely basic preventive maintenance this car has been more reliable than anything I've owned previous from the private market. So long as you don't run it into the ground by not preforming proper and needed maintenance. This car is awesome. It has amazing options for aftermarket speakers by providing not one, not two, but four 6"x9" door speakers. Which I personally have installed some keenwood 5-way 650w peak speakers in. I had to make absolutely no modifications to the wiring, install an amp, or replace the factory head unit to get an amazing sound. The amazing part about it is the fold down seats. Though as a whole the car is compact with the added feature you are able to fit quite a lot in the hatch. I own the SE and have had absolutely no mechanical issues with it. This is one of most stylish and exciting cars to look at and drive. The rear wing and bumper design are simply fantastic syling. The interior is laid out nicely. The Infinity sound system is incredible. Everything is easy to get to and visible from the drivers seat. The deep growl of the cross-over dual exhaust makes you know you've got a powerful engine under the hood. Yet the 6 cyclinder 220 hp engine delivers great gas mileage (23+). It handles like a charm in tight corners and on the straight away. The wheel design is very progressive.

We've owned this car since new, (Aug. of 92) it has the 3.0 with a 5 speed. Now has just shy of 340,000 miles and only had to replace the fuel pump twice, water pump once, one brake job (just 10,000 miles ago) new shocks and struts once, a couple radiators (damaged) and an electric fan. Still has the original clutch, tranny, motor, and half shafts. The interior is still very nice and everything still works except the headlight delay off, a truly amazing little car! I've never figured out how the "reviewers" can say a new car model is reliable or not by testing it for just a short time.

I would only recommend this car if you are interested in learning about fixing cars or have little knowledge to open YouTube and watch a video to get it done for cheap it’s the way to go! So easy to work on and most parts are interchangeable with different models, and the parts are so cheap!

Here is a review of my start to finish process of buying a car from Gateway Classic Cars, Ft. Lauderdale: ----- 1. The sales people who you work with are not on site. They're working remote so they don't have eyes on the car. ---- So, 2. You'll want to be connected with someone on site who can start and drive the car, provide a walkaround video, pictures of whatever you want and give their input. I worked with Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location for my purchase and he was outstanding with helping me to know the car before making an offer. He is the reason that this is a 5 star review. -------- 3. Hauling: They'll get you a quote for hauling the vehicle. I chose Nexus Transport myself to use. They were a bit cheaper and top rated by Forbes. That went just fine. --------- 4. These cars are all on consignment. So, I feel that you have to be a little more careful because you have another party who may not have disclosed things to Gateway. Best practice is to get a pre-buy done from someone like Lemon Squad. That being said, I was so comfortable with my deal, took the risk and waived the pre-buy. And in my case, the Prowler is a mint gem and I have no concerns after receiving it. Also, there is a common thought then you buy a car like this, you should budget 10% or so of the price for maintenance right after you get the car because stuff always comes up, otherwise, don't buy a used car. --------5. Since they're on consignment, they have commissions they charge the seller. As a buyer, I don't care if I see a commissions line on the purchase agreement. As long as my out the door number was what I offered, that's fine. --------6. I wired money to them and within a few hours, I had all the fully executed paperwork back in my hands. Title took about 3 weeks to receive by UPS. And the folder had everything I needed to register the car in my state. Wow! Thank you Barbara! ------ 7. So here is what breeds loyalty. Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location made sure the car was completely ready to be picked up including accessories that were bubble wrapped. The car was supposed to be picked up at Noon on Saturday, plenty of time before they closed at 5pm. He stayed until the truck arrived...very late....AT 1:30am Sunday morning!!!! (Otherwise, it would have sat until Tuesday). I cannot believe he did that for me. I received my car loading video at 2am. That's unbelievable service that deserves more than 5 stars. ------- Summary: I'd have zero issues with buying from Gateway again....they just operate in a different dealership style than what I'm used to, which is just fine.

I found this car at a freinds Dealership , Body is exelent inside leather design I realy like. I have owned '77 & '80 corvette loved them both, for the money now a days I will keep the Stealth to drive maybe look for vett later, this car is stick I drove down to Texas from Michigan , $250 gas. and did take it up to 140 MPH !! had peddle left, for the $4000 I paid is worth checking out if U R looking for sports car..... don't drive by it... take one for a drive.
