To begin this review, you should know that I rated the facilities a 4-star because, in this time of COVID, I was unable to enter the main building. The lot is cramped with gorgeous, fairly-priced vehicles, plus a small building in the center. There was no room for me to park my own vehicle when visiting, so I parked in the cul-de-sac. Now, about Stan. From the Ukraine, Stan is a compassionate, thoughtful salesman who spent our time together masked (because of COVID) and LISTENING to me as I fumbled with what I was looking for. He asked pertinent questions, took the time to understand what I was seeking, and was as transparent with me about the quality of the vehicle I had come to test-drive as is possible. I pointed out scratches. He admitted that they were problematic. I asked him about the timing belt: had it been changed? He didn't know, and didn't invent a story. He didn't say "yes" or "no," he said the most honest thing a car salesman can say: "I don't know. But I will find out for you." And, sure enough, he did! We talked about the timing belt replacement (which HAD happened, and this saves me $1,000 right off the bat). We talked about the provenance of the vehicle, a wreck it had been in eight years ago, how clean and immaculate the car was, both inside and out. I thought that the car was overpriced a bit, and I asked Stan what he thought. He agreed that it could be a bit lower, and on my first visit to the lot, he informed me that his boss had lowered the price of the car by $500. Which was music to my ears. I test drove the car. It handled beautifully. Ice-cold A/C, no pulling to the left or right. This car had been in a wreck before, but other than the CARFAX report mentioning it, I would never have known. Stan gave me the keys and said "Take this to your mechanic," so I did. I sat at my own personal mechanic's office and waited for an hour while they went through the car, front to back, paying close attention to the mechanical aspects of the vehicle. They found a leaking power steering rack and pump. That's IT. "Lou," said the owner of the shop. "This is the best vehicle you've brought us, and I am of the strong opinion you should BUY THIS CAR IMMEDIATELY." I wasn't sure, given the cost of replacing the power steering rack and pump. I went back to Stan. He wasn't sure, he said, but he'd check with the boss. I offered $500 less than the vehicle was priced at, even AFTER a $500 drop! Stan stood up for me with his boss, got the boss to agree, and sold me the car. In conclusion, I have a fantastic vehicle, low miles for its age, mechanically sound (except for the rack and pump, which I will get fixed on my own dime), and Stan has a customer for life in me. I've been in sales for forty years, and Stan did everything right. He shared what he could do, told me honestly what he couldn't do and, not once, not EVER, did he give me a hard-sell. He listened to me, he met my needs and then exceeded them. Kudos to Stan and to Denver Auto Company for the best car-buying experience I have ever had. Thank you.

Absolutely tip top shape, no engine problems, solid, sexy inside out safe, torquey! If you are the type of person who enjoys drifting, then this vehicle is for you! Due to the torque of vehicle I suggest you take a safety driving course as well as keeping tire maintenance in upkeep! Because the rain will challenge your driving skills!

I have driven and owned all types of Crown Victoria's for over 40 years. I buy them for safety, safety and safety. I buy them at auctions. They are well-made, economical on fuel and comfortable. I don't buy white or red cars. I prefer the police package version, particularly those without body damage or bullet holes. I prefer Firestone Firehawk or comparable tires for SAFETY and especially HANDLING. My 2009 model came equipped with four airbags...once again, SAFETY. I would highly recommend this well-designed vehicle.

Bought mine from a grandma with 146k. Never have had an issue with it and has the most comfortable ride ever. Also the v8 is very nice. Has surprisingly good handling and performance for its age. Dead reliable too. Doesn’t leak a drop of anything.

Even though it was assembled in Canada the major components were made in the states that provided a living wage to those involved. It's too bad that production ended in 2011 but because they last so long with proper care sales declined over the years.

I currently own a 2005 ford crown victoria LX. I bought this car from a private buyer 2 years ago for 850 dollars thinking it would have problems. It did, as with all used cars. That was at 274k on the odometer. It just rolled 521k yesterday after 2 years of owning it and last month I just replaced the factory intake manifold at 520k. These cars are the epitome of reliability as long as you take care of them. The car is heavy, it eats gasoline, sure. But if you need a truck and don't want a truck, get a crown vic. I chase storms with this and drove it well over the speed limit on ice and rain and have not once lost traction or hydroplaned.

This was formally an undercover unit from the Tampa PD. It was maintained regularly and kept in overall top running condition. The body was rust free. These Vics are pretty much bullet proof and parts are cheap and readily available. Many of these cars were built and are still on the road. Great daily driver if you want to be safe. Large heavy car, but it does drink plenty of gas.

I just purchased a 2003 Mercedes SL 500 from Jordan. He was very honest and straightfoward and there was no haggling on price. I’ve had my Crown Victoria Police Interceptor for almost a year and I fell in love with it almost right away. I’ve given this vehicle a 5 star for comfort because this vehicle has an extremely comfortable backseat, the only thing I can compare it to is a couch, the front seats are as comfortable as recliners. This car is easily one of the most comfortable cars I’ve ever been in. The comfortability of this car is one of the main reasons I sold my 2019 Ford Mustang after 6 months of owning the Crown Vic. However I rated the interior design 3 stars due to some flaws. Lets start off with entertainment. I know this is a 15 year old car and I really shouldn’t expect much, but I would’ve really liked if there were speakers on the front doors. As far as I’m aware there’s only 2 speakers behind the back seats under the rear windshield, for a 2 speaker set up its what you expect, but I wouldn’t say its terrible. The radio stock doesn’t have USB or even an AUX, this can be easily fixed with a FM transmitter, but you will be taking a hit on sound quality by using one. The next flaw with the interior is lack of door storage and cup holders, this vehicle has 2 cup holders that slide out with an ash try and cigarette lighter in the front of the car, these are the only cup holders in the entire car which could be inconvenient considering this vehicle can comfortably fit 5 passengers. The reason why I didn’t rate the interior design lower is because all these flaws are easy and relatively cheap to accommodate for. You can purchase a new center console for roughly $30 that will add 4 more cup holders which will total the cup holders to 6. You can update the radio with a touchscreen radio for about $150 which will give you apple car play, bluetooth, and USB/AUX and you can add a subwoofer in the trunk for about $150 to upgrade the sound system. For just a little over $300 you can make the interior comparable to most modern cars. The reason why this car gets 5 stars for performance is because it holds up for what it is 4.6L V8, which is the same engine to the 4th gen Mustang GTs and a smooth shifting 4 speed automatic. This vehicle I wouldn’t say is fast at all, in fact most modern mid-size or compact sedans will match or out preform the crown vic, but for a 4000 lb sedan it holds up. Torque and horsepower are decent by todays standards and at best good for when this vehicle was out. For the 4000 lb land yacht that the crown vic is it handles above average, this is no sports car, but it does its job. This vehicle gets 5 stars for value for the money, you can get a clean crown vic for about $3k if you look really hard since the prices are inflating for this car, but it still is worth ever penny in my opinion. A full size, reliable, box frame, V8 sedan for $3K, is a steal if you ask me. I rate the exterior styling 5 stars because I personally love the simplicity of the car. However if simple is not for you, you can swap a lot of 4th gen mustang parts with the crown vic so you are able to customize this car to your liking, with the endless aftermarket support for the mustangs, you’ll be able to find parts to use for the crown vic. If there was an option for a 10 stars out of 5 for reliability I would have chosen that. THIS CAR IS RELIABLE! Okay let me say first off my crown vic has 180k miles and was a cop car for 126k miles, then owned by an individual until I purchased it at 175k miles. It appears the last own neglected this car, when I got her she was in rough shape. I did the necessary repairs on her to keep her running however my car has some issues but I’ll blame it on abuse and neglect. I had the water pump go out due to the car overheating from a bad radiator fan on my crown vic, I drove her all the way to H and drove her without a working water pump or cooling fan for a week and she did it and is still running fine. This was an error on my part, mechanically the engine runs well, the transmission fluid I changed at 180k miles was still the original fluid and was still red. This car is built like a tank. This car is reliable if you find a clean one, I recommend buying a crown vic straight from a PD, SD, or ST/HP, most of them rigorously maintain their vehicle every 3-6k miles/3 months and they mostly use OEM parts for their cars. The conclusion of this Crown Vics are an all around car, its not amazing for todays standards, but for the price it will give you more than you expect. They’re very reliable cars if you find the right one.

these cars are just an engineering masterpiece, even thoguh being designed in 1998, these crownvics still look very modern the 4.6L SOHC V8 is literally unkillable, it once got over heated in the middle of the road as the fan broke, and it ran for ONE HOUR straight after it over heated the enine still ran when i arrived at the mechanic its just impressive. other vehicles literally shut down immediately it over heats the AC will freeze you in just a few minutes. its just impressive how i hve 27.5 MPG on this car even though it has a V8. n wonder why these were used as police and taxi cars

Here is a review of my start to finish process of buying a car from Gateway Classic Cars, Ft. Lauderdale: ----- 1. The sales people who you work with are not on site. They're working remote so they don't have eyes on the car. ---- So, 2. You'll want to be connected with someone on site who can start and drive the car, provide a walkaround video, pictures of whatever you want and give their input. I worked with Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location for my purchase and he was outstanding with helping me to know the car before making an offer. He is the reason that this is a 5 star review. -------- 3. Hauling: They'll get you a quote for hauling the vehicle. I chose Nexus Transport myself to use. They were a bit cheaper and top rated by Forbes. That went just fine. --------- 4. These cars are all on consignment. So, I feel that you have to be a little more careful because you have another party who may not have disclosed things to Gateway. Best practice is to get a pre-buy done from someone like Lemon Squad. That being said, I was so comfortable with my deal, took the risk and waived the pre-buy. And in my case, the Prowler is a mint gem and I have no concerns after receiving it. Also, there is a common thought then you buy a car like this, you should budget 10% or so of the price for maintenance right after you get the car because stuff always comes up, otherwise, don't buy a used car. --------5. Since they're on consignment, they have commissions they charge the seller. As a buyer, I don't care if I see a commissions line on the purchase agreement. As long as my out the door number was what I offered, that's fine. --------6. I wired money to them and within a few hours, I had all the fully executed paperwork back in my hands. Title took about 3 weeks to receive by UPS. And the folder had everything I needed to register the car in my state. Wow! Thank you Barbara! ------ 7. So here is what breeds loyalty. Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location made sure the car was completely ready to be picked up including accessories that were bubble wrapped. The car was supposed to be picked up at Noon on Saturday, plenty of time before they closed at 5pm. He stayed until the truck arrived...very late....AT 1:30am Sunday morning!!!! (Otherwise, it would have sat until Tuesday). I cannot believe he did that for me. I received my car loading video at 2am. That's unbelievable service that deserves more than 5 stars. ------- Summary: I'd have zero issues with buying from Gateway again....they just operate in a different dealership style than what I'm used to, which is just fine.

Well i got the car for 1700 with 109000 miles. Ran great and still does. Tranny has an issue shifting into overdrive dont borther me. it is all white with a red top. red leather a/c and power seats make it a dream car but the size makes it a landboat 17 foot long. the 5.0 will hold you back in the seat and still show little honda's what its made of over all its a good car but buy one with low miles. Next car is gonna be a camaro ss or a z28 im only 16 so this as my first acr and i loved it but now i want a sports car

As I got older and got away from Mustangs these Crown Victorias have reall been great to me. Have had several, usually buy them with about 100,000 miles and drive to about 170,000. almost never have to do any repairs, just keep tires and oil changes. Cost me about $600 a year to stay in one of these. Great resell values also.

I bought this for commuting lots of highway miles after going through 3 used cars in about a 3 1/2 year period. I needed something built to last and found my P71 Interceptor on a dealer lot. It was well cared for as a former Sheriff's supervisor unit, no leaks, no damage, everything works. The 4.6L V8 may not be a race engine but combined with the Police transmission and rear end, it makes for a solid reliable vehicle. I'm able to do most maintenance myself and it hasn't needed much more than the basics. I'm up to 150,000 miles and it's still a highway star.
