Used Ford Edge SUVs for sale near Newcastle, OK

I owned a 2017 Fusion Platinum and did not want to get a SUV. Knowing the Edge was based on the same platform, I gave the 2024 a spin. I was impressed. It drove, handled, braked, and steered very well. I drove many cars, and even though Ford had not redesigned in a while, it was more enjoyable to drive than the Audi Q5 and Lexus RX. I rated the value a 3 because it is expensive. The Titanium Elite price is in the Lexus/Audi ballpark. I really wanted the Audi because I have owned some in the past, but the Edge was more sporty and more comfortable. I drove the ST and I was surprised that it did not feel a lot faster. This wqas the same with the Fusion. You can tell the ST was faster, but it did not jump off the line like I was expecting. I was disappointed the edge lost some equipment from the past as it is being phased out. So I added it. I added the hood insulation, the engine cover, the cargo cover, LED lighted sill plates, and the laminated acoustic glass on the front doors, all purchased from FORD dealers to make sure they were the real deal. I also added the keyless entry keypad (securicode). I was really disappointed they deleted securicode. The interior is not flashy like an Audi, but I like that it is understated. The carmello seat and door inserts make the car very audi-ish and special. It is too bad this is the last year. The Lincoln Nautilus lives on as the next generation in the USA. I can tell it has roots from the Fusion. That is also gone.

I have owned my 2021 Ford Edge ST LINE since September of 2021. It is now April 2024, and I can say without a doubt, that I am very satisfied with the vehicle. I have taken long trips with it, and it was very comfortable. I have nothing negative to say about this vehicle.

Awesome car for my daughter-doesn’t feel big or small-it just happens to have lots of room and be easy to maneuver. Love it…feels like a safe car for a younger driver as well as a fam!

I bought this vehicle in December of 2023, and I have been pleased with the performance and the room inside the car. The boot (trunk) has lots of space. The silver paint with the black wheels looks really sharp. The best appeal for me to purchase this vehicle is that it's reported to rarely need to be in the shop for repairs. It's always been my experience that if you take care of your vehicle then it will perform well.

Bought used with 16k miles. 2 years later 52k miles. Only issue was transmission shutter. A fluid exchange service solved issues. Fluid was black. Strongly recommend transmission service every 39-50k miles. I get 32mpg on highway

We were visiting family in OK and decided to drop by Joe Cooper Ford/Lincoln dealership in Edmond to browse the used cars on their lot. Malachi greeted us within a few minutes and he was he was very professional and friendly. We did find a car we liked but did not purchase it until we returned to Arkansas to do some research. We found that we could not beat the price anywhere including the Internet. So we called Malachi to tell him we wanted the car. We drove back (6 hours) to buy this car. The main reason was the royal treatment we received from this dealership. A few months later we were back in town to visit and stopped by Joe Cooper's to inquire about a manufacture recall on the car we purchased. The service department got our car in right then, took care of the repair, and washed and vacuumed our car within an hour. We did not request the wash and vacuum, that is just part of their great customer service. We can not say enough good things about this dealership. Someone was continually asking us if they could get us a beverage. The absolute best car buying experience ever!

Extremely pleased with the comfort and ride on my new 2024 Ford Edge Titanium. Have previously owned two Explorers and two Edges. Thought my 2022 Explorer rode very quiet, had lots of power and very comfortable. , but this Edge is significantly better all around than the Explorer. I wish it had intelligent 4 wheel drive with the rear drive primary. I will deal with the AWD version. It handles extremely well with a solid quiet ride and tight turning radius. It has a very large 7x10 touch screen mounted vertically in the middle of the dash. You can control almost every possible setting on this. Totally loaded and worth the extra cost. It is so comfortable we can drive 13-14 hours straight though on our trips to Florida . Drive it, you won’t be disappointed.

I have a 2018 Edge Titiaum with just over 15,000 miles. Could not get the cruise control to work. Dealer just informed me it is going to need a module costing over 17,000 , plus 300.00 labor. Seems this part should last longer than 15.000 miles.

The employee in the service department that helped me was excellent. I asked her a question that she wasn?t comfortable in answering. She went and got the answer.

We had our 2013 Ford edge for many years had zero problems with it until a stupid driver parked next to my husband and totaled the car. He wasn’t even in the car but until then it never gave us any trouble. We decided we would buy another ford edge which is a 2018 and beautiful. Hopefully we’ll have the same luck with this one.

I love the size if the Edge. Big enough, but not too big. I can transport large items, such as furniture. The look is great. The interior is well finished. Enough compartments and gouges, but not overdone. I have the model that has what I think is called 'Vista View' which allows nearly the entire roof of the car to be uncovered from inside allowing a great view of the sky. It also opens which is great because I love fresh air and the feel of being outside. One of the two drawbacks I have found in approximately two years of ownership is that the transmission is not smooth at lower speeds - say under 35 or 40. Not really a problem- just a little annoying. I'm also wondering if the balkiness of the transmission now will cause any issues in later years. The second drawback for me is that the gear selector is a dial. Even after two years of using this gear selector, I have not grown uses to it. It is not at all intuitive; dials are for radios not gear shifts. I do like the car, and I'm happy I bought it. Just use this review as a heads up if you start looking seriously at an Edge.

I had to replace my RAV4 after 12 years and dreaded the thought of car shopping. I decided to start at Post Oak since they had done excellent work on my RAV4 in the past. Tyler Rowe was so personable in his approach my guard just dropped and we just talked. He heard what I was saying and had a car in mind for my actual needs but also had vehicle 2 and 3 lined up In his mind for me. While I looked at the exterior of the first vehicle he went to grab the keys for that test drive but also came back with the option I thought I wanted. Long story short I’m happy with his suggestion and the follow up and courtesy I experienced throughout the dealership. I want a relationship where I shop and I feel like this team agrees. If you plan on buying a ford edge from 2017, or anywhere between 2015-18, I implore you to make sure that you buy a used one. Why, because if it has over 100k miles on it, there's a good chance it had a good gen 1 engine in it or already had the cracked gen 1 engine in it replaced with a new gen 2 engine in it that won't crack anytime soon. This is a known problem with the ford edges and other models that come with that specific first generation model inline 4-cylinder between the 80k-100k miles marker, Ford knows about it and a recall should be issued but they won't be doing that anytime soon. So, if you by a ford edge with under 60k miles on it like I did, immediately purchase the 50k miles powertrain warranty at designated ford dealer, and if the car is a CPO get the 100k miles warranty no matter what the miles on it currently are, you no idea if the engine you got is going to crack, so make sure you get the warranty plan that will cover replacing the engine and anything else that goes wrong with the needed number of miles to cover the 80k-100k miles marker; my edge almost made it to 100k miles before it cracked. And because the new engine put so much back pressure on the old transmission, the engine killed the transmission, so I got that replaced too! $205 deductible later, and I essentially got an entire new car, I'll drive the thing till the wheels fall off at this point.

Never in my life have I owned a Ford but this is my second Ford Edge. A 2021 Edge ST is my second and although the Titanium version was a pleasure the ST with it's handling and performance is a step above. The Edge is more comfortable than most SUV's with much more hauling capacity. Just a great fun car to drive and quite a value.
