My 5L, 2018 F150 keeps having problems with coils. Since there is one per cylinder and the cost of replacing one is quite high. This has become a problem. I love my truck, but this gives me cause to consider GMC next time.

I was searching for a specific vehicle and I found a few on cars.com. 2020 F-150 Super Cab 2.7L Ecoboost, 10 speed transmission. At first I was concerned since I've never had a truck with a small V6. I was looking for good HP and good MPG. I liked the sporty trim STX look. Great acceleration and great MPG. Much better than my previous 2006 F-150 5.4L, which was a great truck, but it was time for a change. I do recommend this vehicle if you want MPG, power, and great towing capacity.

Bought a car on Wednesday night noticed the brake light was out. Told me to bring it back on Monday and they would take care of it. Did the oh I am in a cabin filter and even filled it up. Will shop again.

Just bought this truck with 42000 miles hopefully it treats me good 12/16/2023 looking for a warranty company that Ford honors that’s not too expensive, bumper-to-bumper

I usually dread dealing with car dealerships but Hawk Ford was different and went out of their way to make it positive, especially the salesman Rich Bergmann.

Yep, it's big. It's a 2-in-1 vehicle that I jokingly call a caruck. The grandkids love it and so do my wife and I. I wanted one with an 8' bed, but that one wouldn't fit in the garage, so I settled for a 6.5 bed. The F-150 is comfortable, easy to drive, and gets surprisingly good gas mileage. That mileage drops a bit when towing. I use mine for family and for managing the farm. My only slight hangup is that I can't figure out how to handle the air conditioning for the back seat occupants. On a side note, I think city planners and architects were planning on things downsizing and this thing is anything but downsized. It fits almost everywhere and when it doesn't, it fits almost always somewhere close enough. I love it and would definitely buy another one.

Great buy, maintenance package of good quality more of why I trust ford. Flex fuel a great idea reliable cooling and heating. Oh and tires nitrogen flourishes ideas other dealerships.

Paid off, Now the Heater doesn’t work, Left wiper arm fell off in the rain. Shifter knocks/Clunks, Otherwise reliable truck. Need heating to work please.

2016 is a good yr since there is limited electronic safety features. Truck has excellent ride, is quiet and gets great gas mileage with the 2.7 liter V6. My F150 has a 36 gallon tank and I've gotten over 1000 miles per fill up.

STX 4X4 crew cab 2.7 eco. Bought new in Sept 2018. Overall, this truck has been very reliable, albeit a few issues. I’ll list them.. 1st thing was the transmission would slam from 3rd to 4th or 5th gear. Was fixed under warranty with a software re-flash. Then the rear brakes at 30K miles. I ended up doing a brake upgrade all around. It was a huge improvement in performance.. hope they last longer. Then the wiper switch followed by the ACIM for the sync system. That’s it in 6 years. All Maintenance has been kept up with and I've had zero engine issues. I’m at 66000 miles. Comfort on long trips is great and the truck continues to track straight with ease. I replaced the worn tires at 62000 miles with larger Nitto Ridge grapplers which have definitely decreased mpg and acceleration performance but look and perform amazingly in snow. I wouldn’t hesitate on buying another.

I bought my 2012 F150 FX4 Ecoboost brand new in February 2012. I currently have 64k miles on it. I have never had a mechanical issue with it. Regular preventative maintenance has kept it very reliable. It has a comfortable and quiet ride for a truck. I have towed 3 different campers with it ranging from 5k-8k pounds. The Ecoboost easily handles the towing with plenty of HP and torque. Just don't expect great gas mileage while towing, 7-9mph. Without towing on the highway, I can average 19mph. For a half ton truck, I tow my 35ft camper with no concerns. It's a comfortable commuter truck too. I love my truck!

Process was incredibly simple and Blayne (salesman) and the finance group were awesome. I was coming from out of state and they were able to accommodate me and I drove my truck home within 45 minutes of getting there. I can’t recommend them enough!

Very dependable, Very useful, and Very Fun to own. This truck is at 206,000 miles and everything still works as the day I bought it. I could not express how much I love it. It has the 3.5 ecoboost twin turbo engine and the fx4 luxury package it eats dodges and craps on chevy. Please note that if you currently have the 3.5 Eco boost or 2.7 Eco boost to change oil every 3 to 4k due to the high temp your oil gets because you have turbos the 5.0 v8 doesn't have turbos btw

I bought my '18 F150 Lariat 4x4 new in late 2018. No special options, crew cab, 5.5' bed, with the 2.7L Ecoboost and tow package. It has been over 5 years and the truck has been flawless. I've only done 40k miles, but all my trips are either very short, to get food or take the dog out, or very long, like 7 hours non-stop from Boise to Seattle, or from Idaho to Alabama to visit family during covid. I have the 36 gal tank and it's a revelation for road trips. My last truck would go a little over 300 miles per tank with a 15mpg V8. This one will do over 600 easy. The 2.7L gets 21mpg in town, where I'm fairly easy on it and it's usually unloaded, but only 23 on the hwy where the speed limit is 80, I'm not easy on it, and it's usually loaded for a trip. The interior is good overall, minus some cheap plastic, it's easy to clean and the leather seats have worn well. I love the OEM full rubber mats. The 4WD Auto mode is fantastic around town when it's snowy and cold but bad not enough for 4 hi. I love the load-flat rear floor and so does the dog. I got the tow package but it didn't come with the trailer brake, so that was disappointing to discover. Also, the halogen headlights are horrible and I replaced them with aftermarket LED bulbs, even though I like to use only OEM parts. The 10spd transmission isn't brilliant, with a rough shift here and there. My older Ram had an 8spd ZF, which was miles better. The F150 does eat up the miles on the open road though, almost as well as my wife's Audi Q5, but with a little more steering play, which makes it a little more fatiguing on long trips. It is, however, head and shoulders above any older trucks I've owned or driven and better than the 2015 Ram I had. I've carried trees, loads of dirt, motorcycles, furniture, towed cars and Uhaul trailers, and it's handled it all. Sometimes I wish I had 6.5' bed when I'm carrying 12' lumber. Sometimes I wish it was as small as my dad's Tacoma. Once in a while I wish it was a Raptor. But then I remember trying to park my Ram crew cab with 6.5' bed, or I drive the economy car-like Tacoma, and I realize that, while not perfect, it's nearly impossible to beat this truck as an all-around suburban homeowner-type vehicle, it even fits in my garage. I would absolutely buy it again and will probably keep it for several years to come.

I’m updating my ‘Original Owner After 10 Years’ review below. Almost two more years on the ‘09 F150 5.4 FX4 s/crew and it’s still going basically trouble free. I just put its second set of new brake pads / rotors on along with new calipers as well, I also installed a new Cat back exhaust on it however the old exhaust was still basically fine. In the fall of ‘19 for some reason the hood heat/ noise insulator pad started deteriorating so I replaced that. I also have new Motorcraft coil packs and fuel injectors just because I think they’ll perk the 5.4 up a bit but haven’t installed them yet. I figure if I put $1000 of extra maintenance in wear parts a year into it that’s a bargain compared to a monthly new truck payment so that’s my plan with a truck in excellent condition of this age. Overall for a truck going on 12 years old that’s been paid off since 2014 I’m way ahead of the game with this F150 FX4, nice 09-14 styles are starting to thin out now now so this one draws as much or more attention as when it was new. It’s still my daily driver and looks basically like when it came off the dealers lot so I’m going to try and get another 10 years out of it just because I’m sure I probably can. I’d be pretty careful if I was buying one used now however as they’re not all in the condition that mine is. I will say that since 2009 this truck has never let me down and has never broke down once although I credit that to proper maintenance and fixing little issues before they become big problems.

I have never bought a car online before let alone bought a car without even seeing it or driving it. I saw a Bentley Flying Spur for sale at Chicago Auto Gallery. I called and spoke to a salesperson named Steve. From the first hello on the phone until we closed the deal and the car was shipped to me Steve was fantastic. He did everything possible to ensure that I was satisfied with the car and the deal. Now here's the extra part that I was even shocked at myself. Once I got the car, I drove it and after 5 miles some of the lights came on such as check engine, ride height, traction control and ABS. I was initially immensely pissed. I called Steve and said you might want to get ahold of that driver who delivered this car and tell him to take it back. Steve suggested I take it to a certified mechanic near me and have it looked at to see what was the problem. Apparently when one light goes off, it triggers more lights to activate. I had it looked at and to fix the car right it was going to be over $3000. Steve took care of it and the dealership paid the whole bill. In my mind that was the most solid thing to do and he did it. He could have argued and tried to avoid it or said no, you bought it, you fix it. They did not do that to me. I'm in Pittsburgh and they are in Chicago. I know I had rights and could have just sent it back but I wanted that car and they fixed it for me. Not the truck i dreamed of but in the end my 2018 XL STX 4X4 with the 2.7 eco was a great truck. Very fast when warranted to pass in the fast lane or merge onto the freeway and just great fuel consumption really! Bought new in Sept of 2018 and recently traded it in for a brand new well equipped 2022 chip shortage leftover XLT 4X4 with the 302A and max towing package with the 3.5.... my dream truck but already i miss that fuel gauge barely moving like it did on my 2.7 STX.

We drove from out of state to look at a vehicle. I asked a lot of questions before we traveled. 2022 F150 PowerBoost 3.5 twin turbo absolutely hauls xxx with phenomenal gas mileage on a 30 gallon tank. I’ve gotten a true 600 and 700 miles out of a tank of gas when it’s in Eco mode it will run on battery alone if you’re on flat level ground and maintain your speed that’s how they obtain so many miles out of a tank full of gas probably one of the best F1 50s I’ve owned and I’ve had several of them. If you leave it in tow Haul mode it will disengage the auto stop start so the vehicle remains on. It’s been absolutely bullet proof with zero issues. If I’m not driving the Dually Diesel F350 I’m driving this..
