Communication was great.
Communication was great. Always returned my calls in a timely manner. Knowledgable and very concerned about customer satisfaction. After purchasing my car I used their mechanics to make adjustments and replace parts. The work was well done. Attention to detail. Over the years, this will be my fourth early model car. If a fifth would be in my future, I’d again purchase from Skyway Classics.

Worked with Chris Harty at the Traverse City location. He maintains a detailed knowledge of each vehicle and helped clarify my decision between two vehicles. Throughout the process Chris was completely candid and offered positive details along with issues and areas likely in need of some work. Very honest throughout the buying process and negotiations. Hope to do business with him again!

They contacted me based on my research on cars.com and I visited the show room today and their service was excellent, their prices reasonable, and the quality of their cars outstanding. Myself and my grandson who accompanied me to the showroom may both buy vehicles from them.

I purchased a 2008 CL 550 that I absolutely love. It drives almost like it’s brand new despite being 18 years old. My salesman Chris went above and beyond with getting me in this car and even fixed the air conditioner on another vehicle I drove there to buy this car! I’ve never had that happen before. My future car purchases will be with him and this dealership!

Here is a review of my start to finish process of buying
Here is a review of my start to finish process of buying a car from Gateway Classic Cars, Ft. Lauderdale: ----- 1. The sales people who you work with are not on site. They're working remote so they don't have eyes on the car. ---- So, 2. You'll want to be connected with someone on site who can start and drive the car, provide a walkaround video, pictures of whatever you want and give their input. I worked with Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location for my purchase and he was outstanding with helping me to know the car before making an offer. He is the reason that this is a 5 star review. -------- 3. Hauling: They'll get you a quote for hauling the vehicle. I chose Nexus Transport myself to use. They were a bit cheaper and top rated by Forbes. That went just fine. --------- 4. These cars are all on consignment. So, I feel that you have to be a little more careful because you have another party who may not have disclosed things to Gateway. Best practice is to get a pre-buy done from someone like Lemon Squad. That being said, I was so comfortable with my deal, took the risk and waived the pre-buy. And in my case, the Prowler is a mint gem and I have no concerns after receiving it. Also, there is a common thought then you buy a car like this, you should budget 10% or so of the price for maintenance right after you get the car because stuff always comes up, otherwise, don't buy a used car. --------5. Since they're on consignment, they have commissions they charge the seller. As a buyer, I don't care if I see a commissions line on the purchase agreement. As long as my out the door number was what I offered, that's fine. --------6. I wired money to them and within a few hours, I had all the fully executed paperwork back in my hands. Title took about 3 weeks to receive by UPS. And the folder had everything I needed to register the car in my state. Wow! Thank you Barbara! ------ 7. So here is what breeds loyalty. Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location made sure the car was completely ready to be picked up including accessories that were bubble wrapped. The car was supposed to be picked up at Noon on Saturday, plenty of time before they closed at 5pm. He stayed until the truck arrived...very late....AT 1:30am Sunday morning!!!! (Otherwise, it would have sat until Tuesday). I cannot believe he did that for me. I received my car loading video at 2am. That's unbelievable service that deserves more than 5 stars. ------- Summary: I'd have zero issues with buying from Gateway again....they just operate in a different dealership style than what I'm used to, which is just fine.

Love my Fairlane
Very good car. Reliable as f*** I don’t use it as a daily but it’s a car I’m currently fixing up. Most important thing: SUPER easy to work on, especially for the person who wants to get into automotive mechanics. The 170 gives a lot of room to work around and fix stuff, and everything’s pretty simple. My Fairlane is the base model sedan with the 170 i6 and the 2 speed Fordomatic. Won’t be replacing the 170 with a V8 because it’s just wonderful. I marked performance as 5 stars. The car isn’t very fast but it goes up hills with ease. It never fails to start right up. Good visibility Engine sounds real nice. Easily stays at high speeds and cruises in traffic.
