After many decades of driving all types of cars and pickups I have rediscovered having fun driving. Since my 64 Impala I look forward to getting in my Maverick Lobo and driving somewhere. I have been getting comments from strangers on how nice it looks. Also the performance is much different than i expected.

My first p/u truck. My first hybrid. My first CVT transmission. Outstanding mileage (>40 mpg!). Good for five people. Excellent for four people. Easy to drive. Excellent safety features (added Lariat safety features are worthwhile). Owned for one year. Basic maintenance and the recalls were no problem. High quality affordability made by our neighbor Mexico. I would highly recommend.

Billy Armstrong was my service adviser. Billy has assisted me on previous service visits. He is always pleasant and makes you feel comfortable to explain the purpose of the service visit. I own the 2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid and so far with roughly 28,000 miles on it I love it. Cannot believe the gas mileage that I get. From April thru Nov I am in the upper 40's to low 50's. That is driving in the cities and highways between the cities. Any long travels on the expressway and my mileage drops to the mid to low 30's. When I purchesed it in 2022 I stayed with the standard XLT interior and I do not regred not upgrading it. It is comfortable for a vehicle and it is quiet. I have easily gotten 4 golf bags in the truck bed and 4 golfers in the cab with one of those golfers standing at 6 foot 8 inches. I've also been able to get 2 10 foot kayaks in the bed with no problem. Yes, they extended beyond the tailgate but had no problems. So far I rank my purchase of my 2022 SLT Ford Maverick Hybrid as one of the top two vehicles I've purchased in my life time, and I will be 74 in 2025.

I had a lovely, thorough review, but Cars.com isn't interested me in being thorough, probably why they are asking for a review after only three weeks with the car. So instead I'll say that it has had an issue with not working with the FordPass app the way it is supposed to - no huge surprise, Ford has led the industry in recalls and other QC issues for several years now. I like the truck generally and feel it was a decent value, but not a steal. It meets my needs. Always a good experience at Tyler Ford. Alan is very courteous and helpful! They also provide drinks & donuts in the morning. My car was finished in a timely manner.

I’ve put 52k miles on my 22 fwd ecoboost with zero issues. Average mileage with 50/50 Highway/city is 28.9. It averages 31 on the highway.
