I own a 2002 3.8 v6 model with 170,000 miles. The only repairs have been an alternator ,ps pump and transmission mount. Engine/trans runs like new. Bad points are harsh ride and somewhat difficult to get in and out of.....good points are reliability ,oil tight, and easy to work on

Leak under the seat
Under the rear seat it leaked water from the outside when driving in rainy conditions. I upgraded the stereo system and it was better for listening to music on the interstate and hi ways with the top down. I’m hoping to find another car soon.

One of the best
Second excellent Mustang. First was an 02 6. This time I bought a third owner 06 V8 convertible. It needed cosmetic fixing up. No problem. Being handy with cars it worked out for 63 year old woman. Easy to change plugs ,etc. I could not afford one. But I was willing to put the little work into it and got it for $4,200 in 2020. This car has been wonderful. Black with silver Shelby stripes. I only sold this because I need more space for a family. Such a fun car and a great drive. Lots of space in the trunk but not much in the backseat. Didn’t bother me because the front is very spacious. Definitely going to miss this car.
