My ranger was purchased used, it replaces my 97 Ranger which I owned for 20 yrs til it was totalled @ 370,000 miles. Only major component failure was rear end dif at approximately 200,000 miles and it still ran strong at time of wreck. Prompting me to set my sights on another Ranger to buy. My 2009 is 2.3l (as was my 97) w/auto trans (97 was manual), owned now for 2.5yrs I have to say I'm VERY surprised at the 09's performance which I expected to be a bit sluggish compared to my 97 as it was a reg cab and the 09 is supercab (which should weigh more?) but happy to report that I'm loving my 09 even more. This truck accelerates very well and seems to be cut from the same cloth as my 97 which was the most reliable ride I've owned and at age 60 I've owned more than a few. Before I reach my limit of 500 words, I'm a big fan of the Ranger: easy to maintain, fun driving, handles much like a sports car, looks great with a little customization, I could go on, but you get the idea!

I did some internet shopping and found this 2005 dodge ram 1500 truck online. I asked Fred to hold this as I was driving 3 hours from port st lucie, FL. Made arrangements, made the trip, and made the buy!! I was never pressured and he was down to earth. It's been about three months and I have had Zero problems. Took it to my mechanic whom has 23 years of experience to get a 10 dollar sensor replaced. He looked at and said you bought a beast of a truck!! I am a very happy customer!

Perfect Car for everyday and special occasion and a Perfect first car that it has great gas mileage, can keep up with speed. It is surprisingly comfortable for its age. The ford ranger is my sons first car and he loves it and we had got it at a amazing price and doesn't need much done too it. overall great car and makes me think about getting myself one too.

My experience was outstanding with Mathis Motors and their sales team. The salesman Jacob was incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. He responded nearly immediately and was able to work the deal in the moment. We were able to set it all up in 30 minutes or less. The SUV is exactly as described and was cleaner than any used vehicle and most new vehicles I’ve ever bought. I appreciate all they did. I would and will give them my business again.

I'm on my 2nd one currently. Only reason why other is no longer on the road is the frame is rotten, I resurrected it from farm field some steel welded to support the frame best could, and some backwoods cheap body work, drove for over a year as main vehicle and loved it, found almost the exact same truck just colour and no AC, but great shape and love it, both 2.3L 5 speed stick. Love this truck for running around and smaller jobs saves my half ton from doing especially with fuel prices

I purchased a new XL, I-4, ext cab, 6ft bed in 2006 for $13k. In 12 years I put 60k miles on it. There was no issues requiring parts or maintenance in that time. I sold it in 2018 for $7k, an extremely good value.

I recommend the Ranger it’s fun to drive and the only issue I’ve had was the rust, which that’s normal in an old truck that’s been sitting outside for years in Ohio weather. My friends love the truck also, we do some drifting and donuts in the parking lot, real fun I’ll tell yeah!

I have had two Rangers 1998 and a 2010 and I love the stile and how easy they are to drive and how fun as well . The look of the new Rangers suck and look more like a f150 the old pre 2010 and before are a real nice reliable truck and for the money, the cats mow

Best vehicle I've had hands down. Albeit first truck too so take it with a grain of salt I suppose. But I absolutely love this truck I was trying to find my exact model here but didn't see it yet but mine is the XL trim with single cab 7 foot bed and I actually use it for food delivery and it's been unbelievably reliable even putting over 100 miles a day on her. Not only that but resale value has gone UP. (Trade in slightly down, private sale up)

The undercarriage should have been better designed and undercoated.. The vacuum line's didn't last long . I replaced with better line's. The brake line's with brass and nickel. Fuel line need brass and nickel... I got 203,000. Miles on mine ...

I bought the 1999 Ford Ranger XLT in high school. It was the 4 cylinder engine and basic for it's class. Manual roll down windows and had a flairside bed. It had 9,600 miles on it when I bought it. Overall it was a good little truck. Helped me learn how to get out of fishtailing and sliding in Nebraska winters. I really worked that little engine hard and it never failed me. This model and year is an excellent truck if you do the oil changes at 2000 miles and transmission flushes at 30k miles. Also change the shocks every 80k. Don't go by what the recommended. Do it sooner. Inside the cab was lacking space. Could fit maybe 2 in the cab. Small things will start to break at about 60k miles. Dome light won't shut off with door closed stuff like that. Easy to break into also if you don't have a solid back window. The four cylinder was very simple design and easy to work on. I bought my truck for $9,600 almost brand new and did the oil changes every 2,000 miles and transmission flushes every 30,000 miles. Had that truck for over 10 years and went to sell it before the prices of vehicles went crazy high. I sold it for $7,000 with $172,000 miles on it. This truck will hold its value if you do the maintenance before it's recommended by the manufacturer.

I have had my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4X4 4.0 Stepside for 14 years.I had to put a transmission in it about 6 years ago.Regular maintenance, still going strong and I have put a lot of miles on it I love my truck.

I have bought 4 vehicles from Zacs and they have always treated me good. I would and have recommended them to many people. If you want a good deal and a good car there isnt anybody better to deal with than George or Scott! there honest people!

Have had my 2010 the last four years and have put it thru its paces. Had to replace a wheel bearing at 97K but no problems since. Have added 30K so far with no additional issues. I have done a lot of maintenance hauling for taking care of two properties and have never been disappointed with the way it runs and hauls. The 4 liter V6 engine has more than enough power and the bed has more than enough space to accommodate my needs. Having a 4x4 in Wisconsin is absolutely necessary with our winters. Not needed all the time but has gotten me out of a lot of dangerous driving situations. The amenities in the truck for its age are more than enough for what I need. When I purchased this I was only after cruise control, bed cap and 4x4 and this two door more than met my needs.

I had my 96 until I was T-Boned at a stop light while visiting Spokane. The air bags actually deployed in spite of the vehicle being over 24 years old. I was amazed and it probably saved me from broken bones or a skull fracture. I was sad to see this vehicle go because it was totaled and there is nothing out there that even compares to the great years of service. The model I had included a 3.3L v6 and Posi traction drivetrain with the full towing package. I hauled heavy items across the cascades several times without an issue.

I'VE HAD THREE RANGER'S AND THEY ARE A GREAT TRUCK AND WILL GO MOST PLACES . I DON'T TOW ANYTHING AND APPRECIATE BEING ABLE TO GO PLACES THAT WOULD BE DIFFICULT WITH A FULL SIZE TRUCK. I'VE HAD THE 4.0 AND THE 3.0 AND ACTUALLY PREFER THE 3.0 IT'S A MORE BULLET PROOF MOTOR AND GETS DECENT FUEL MILEAGE

My hubby and I both purchased our used vehicles here within the last two years. Bill and Ron were both so friendly and HELPFUL, straightforward and informative. We did our part and looked over the vehicles inside and out, studied the provided Carfax reports, took them for long test drives, and researched them online before purchasing. Any questions or issues were explained and addressed with no problems. Bill went above and beyond to see that we were completely satisfied. Financing was very easy with our fair down payments and good to very good credit scores. We also had a mechanic look over both vehicles first, understanding that these vehicles are on the older side and are high mileage. Seems fair to realize that no one, not even an excellent mechanic, can anticipate what may happen (mechanically) after purchase. There was a basic 90 day warranty provided at no cost. And vehicles are (newly or recently) inspected before sale. To avoid any misconceptions, we read over the purchase agreement(s) thoroughly, and asked questions. Know and understand everything before signing! Finally, I'd like to say that we dealt fairly with them and they treated us wonderfully! I would definitely buy vehicles there again. P S. Already looking at one for my son who is in the market!

This is a great truck! love the look and ride. Dependable. Not bad on gas for a 4X4. The color is very nice. I dont see many blue ones.

I bought a ‘99 5 speed 2.5L ranger with 163K on it. Put in a clutch, alt., master cylinder, power steering pump. I’ve done some heavy (500lb plus) moving and she’s been fine. Smooth shifting, quiet and decent power for a 4 cylinder. A bit low on furl economy, 17-18 mpg combined, the average is 20-21 mpg combined according to guide, but including price and work/parts done this truck cost me about 2K so can’t complain. Good runner so far. I’d recommend her

Cars Unlimited of Santa Ana may seem like your average used car dealership as you drive by. The reviews are a hit or miss online and you really don't know what to believe. My three takeaways from this place is transparency, honesty and quality. As a car enthusiast, I found a particular vehicle here I was interested in, and I worked with Peyman Reisi, the manager of Cars Unlimited of Santa Ana and I had a great experience. From Peyman to his employees everyone was extremely courteous and helpful. They were prompt to answer any questions I had about the car prior to coming in. They provided me with a Carfax and Autocheck report upon arriving and gave me ample time to check the car out and even allowed me to take it out for a lengthy test drive. The staff was fully transparent about anything they knew about the car and also fully encouraged me to have it checked out by a mechanic or dealership of my choice if I wanted to, of course, at my cost. If there were any issues, Peyman and his team said they would work on getting it sorted out, or reimburse the cost prior to finalizing the deal. You have to remember, this is a used car dealership, not everything is going to be perfect, it isn't a new car, but they will strive to make sure they get you into a solid, reliable car. Not even a large franchise dealer can guarantee something won't go wrong a few weeks down the road, that is why Peyman stands by his cars and offers a warranty if things do happen or allow you to get it fully inspected prior to purchasing. The entire team here was not pushy nor did they use any of your typical sales pitch when I was viewing the car. They were very hands off from the moment I pulled into the parking lot and the moment I left with the car. They gave you just the right amount of attention without being overbearing and pushy on the sale, whether you buy a car or not, they will treat you the same way they'd want to be treated. I observed this with different customers they interacted with. They have a very good selection of cars, and if they don't have what you're looking for, they can help source it for you and have it fully checked out prior to you purchasing it. At the end of the day, use your due diligence when buying a used car, whether it's from a smaller dealership like this one or a large franchise one. Not every car will be perfect, but it is the actions and integrity of the dealership that will set it apart. Got this car after my grandfather passed and I love it. Got it with just over 60k miles but he hadn't maintained it over the years so a lot of work had been done over the past couple months. Needed a new radio, gas tank, oil fill, back window, tires, had some electrical issues and rodent damage, etc. It runs great and I get a lot of compliments on the looks of the truck. I wish it was stick shift and had 4WD but it's easy to drive. I have the passenger seats in the back which my friends cram into and we all fit. Love this truck so much!!

My lil 98 Ranger has the 2.5 with 85000 km on it Only maintenance done like brakes and oil Living in Northern Canada takes a toll on trucks n the winter but with yearly oil sprays and weekly car washes there is not a spot of rust Tough lil truck I use as a contractor as a runner I have carried up to 20 bundles of shingles in the 7 foot bed for short riides to work sites At 25 years old this year’s maintenance will be taking care of my sagging leaf springs and maybe shooks on the back end Been offered 6000 to sell! Great lil truck

Super reliable little truck! Not the most modern or most comfortable or most powerful, but it gets the work done and doesn’t cost too much out of pocket. It’s really easy to drive in the city and park too, making it a great urban work vehicle. There’s a reason you see lots of these around

258,000 miles and still running, the v6 4L extended cab still works great! New battery and a fluids top up and it runs amazing, it was sitting for a year and it cranked immediately. The manual is fun, and the features are amazing for how old it is. Electric windows, and electric rear view are some of the features. And there is always a hiding spot in that truck! I recently found around 5 hidden storage spaces just inside the cab!
