I recently bought a 991.1 S Cabriolet from Sports Trend and could not be more satisfied with the experience. Randy was great to work with and handled everything in a professional and efficient manner. He was very upfront in describing the vehicle and negotiating price, and treated me fairly on both counts. This was an online transaction with the vehicle shipping sight unseen to RI, so I very much appreciated the high level of integrity I found in Randy, the good communication at every step in the process, and how everything went fine with no surprises or anything unexpected at any point. Here is a review of my start to finish dealings with Gate City, Ft. Lauderdale: 1. The sales people who you work with are not on site. They're working remote so they don't have eyes on the car. So, 2. You'll want to be connected with someone on site who can start and drive the car, provide a walkaround video, pictures of whatever you want and give their input. I worked with Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location for my purchase and he was outstanding with helping me to know the car before making an offer. He is the reason that this is a 5 star review. 3. Hauling: They'll get you a quote for hauling the vehicle. I chose Nexus Transport myself to use. They were a bit cheaper and top rated by Forbes. That went just fine. 4. These cars are all on consignment. So, I feel that you have to be a little more careful because you have another party who may not have disclosed things to Gate City. Best practice is to get a pre-buy done from someone like Lemon Squad. That being said, I was so comfortable with my deal that I waived the pre-buy. And in my case, the Prowler is a mint gem and I have no concerns. 5. Since they're on consignment, they have commissions they charge the seller. As a buyer, I don't care even if I see a commissions line on the purchase agreement. As long as my out the door number was what I offered, that's fine. 6. I wired money to them and within a few hours, I had all the fully executed paperwork back in my hands. Title took about 3 weeks to receive by UPS. No issues. Thank you Barbara! 7. So here is what breeds loyalty. Alex made sure the car was completely ready to be picked up including accessories that were bubble wrapped. The car was supposed to be picked up at Noon on Saturday, plenty of time before they closed at 5pm. He stayed until the truck arrived...very late....AT 1:30am going into Sunday morning!!!! (Otherwise, it would have sat until Tuesday). I cannot believe he did that for me. I received my car loading video at 2am. That's unbelievable service that deserves more than 5 stars. Summary: I'd have zero issues with buying from Gate City again....they just operate in a different style than what I'm traditionally used to, which is just fine.

If you are hesitant about buying an " internet car" buy from Brian's Auto Center in New Jersey. I can't say enough good things. The deal was handled quick and professional.
