From reading the worst years were w0017 through 2009 and I experienced that after I read about and I also learned that the best years are 2010 through 2015 In terms of suspension tuning and realiability. The best car for the money and AWD is the only way to go!

Best car I’ve ever owned. I bought it used with 10k miles for $17.5k in 2018. I’ve drove for Lyft for 2 years and recently drove it from California to South Carolina. It’s has never broke down, had to replace the tires a few times but nothing but basic maintenance. I’m at 112k miles and going strong. One small accident the other 2 cars were totaled mine had minor damage on the front driver side. I love my VW.

My door handle on my hatchback has been repaired and replaced two times and now is gone again. It is a 2017 Wolfsburg and I am not pleased with the cost of 1200. I wouldn’t mind but they are only lasting two years. Ridiculous. Can’ use my hatchback.

My Ram gets great gas mileage it has the 3.6 litre V6. The Chevy and Ford F150 each got around 10mpg and I get over 20mpg. It will not pull as much as a V8 but I never pull anything. Very comfortable, smooth ride and quiet. Better than most new cars. Its crew cab 4WD, really a great truck. Must service transmission every 25k miles if you want it to last. This Ram has 170k and shifts very smooth. I drive it normal not hard and take pride in how good it looks and runs. Ram/Dodge is the one I like best over Ford and Chevy. Chevy has fuel management system shuts off cylinders-no good. Ford F 150 leak when it rains-no good. Ram does it good all around no complaints. If buying used its all about condition. Get you next truck checked out if your not sure, ask for records insist on the car fax.

For the most part I really like my 2013 Mazda. When I stop the car and try to turn off the ignition it doesn’t turn off the engine. In order to turn off the engine and electrical, I have to restart the cart and pump the gear shifter several times and then turn off the ignition. My wife used to drive a Mazda MPV had the same issue.

The CVT is something to get used to for sure, but I live in a low density almost rural suburban county. If I had to drive this in city stop and go traffic, I'd probably not recommend it. For areas where you can start and go it's very enjoyable to drive. Comfortable, powerful, good visibility. I average about 23 unless I'm on actual highways and then it's usually around 27 mpg which is great for a V-6 with this power. The groan from the drivetrain is due to the lower RPM at low speeds. I bought mine with 113k miles and have had no real issues yet. The vehicle had a transmission fluid change at 100k, and had regular oil changes every 5 to 6k miles during its life. I can't really complain, it was such a good deal (used).

My week started off by getting my Accord totalled by an uninsured driver who fled on foot. After a week of pain and misery I finally had a bright spot. I went into Howdy Honda Pre-owned and 3 hours later drove out in a beautiful 2020 Civic.

1/23/2026 - The outstanding excellence of the service (advisors, technicians, call center, complimentary services) is getting very impressive each time I visit (since 2023 when I became a customer here). Overall, great professionalism, transparency in keeping me informed, high knowledge, perfect quality service each time, friendliness, extra care, promptitude. A bit long review, but it shows consistency of great service over time - a headline conclusion is also at the end of my review (with recent names). Example is the excellent service of advisor Eduardo M, listening patiently & friendly my requests, then throughly, promptly, positively following-up, explaining very knowledgeably, caring & patiently each detail I required, even staying considerable after hours, therefore going the extra mile to provide me the understanding & peace of mind. The techician, Roman, did a very prompt, fast & thorough job while very well documenting the checks efficiently on the video. I had also past amazing response beyond words from an older service team (Fred, Chad and Luis) on a very difficult to find, unusual issue that happened on my 2018 CRV - new battery drain overnight. First, the advisor Fred brought to my place right away (at a late hour Good Friday) a brand new Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport loaner (leather seats, 400 mi). The mentioned team carefully checked separately each circuit, updated the software and kept the car several days under observation. The breakthru finding is very important, it was not the battery but a CHIP defect in the keyless entry control unit (all repairs were at low cost). I wish the repair took longer :), that Hybrid loaner was amazing. I was being kept informed all this time, then I was shown on site how they worked. ... On another past problem requiring engine cleaning, Chad and Fred took from their personal time to help (they just had signed out when I arrived) and Chad had spent the next 3 hours of his own time to thoroughly supervised and informed me, knowing of my urgency to get it fixed right away...and well done!!! The Customer Service call center, always promptly and friendly answering the calls - Ms Randi going the "extra mile" to follow up after working hours on my service booking request, very positively, friendly and patiently listening to my complex description and promply provided the solution; also to mention Ms Kenya that showed extra care, understanding and immediate follow up, or Zoe who also is very positive, friendly and caring each time. The car loaner dept is showing similar great positive and friendly service. Great fast, prompt, caring, thorough check out service by service advisor Antonio U. Never to ignore the warm & welcoming "Starbucks-style" complimentary beverages & snacks service while waiting for the car to be ready, with the very friendly, positive, caring baristas Kara and Tiffany helping & brightening the atmosphere. The first tires inspection at check-in where tire inspector Tricia B goes professionally & thoroughly to check and friendly to explain the findings, together with the inspection video by the technician (Roman) and specially with the exceptional service by the advisor (Eduardo M), all ensure the extra peace of mind, knowing that all was being very transparently communicated and well taken care of. I have a 2008 model with 109K miles and climbing. This car has exceeded my expectations and has been the most reliable car I’ve owned. I wish Mazda would bring back a modernized version as I wouldn’t hesitate to upgrade to a newer model.

My 2011 328i has just reached 223k miles. No timing chain replacement. Only oil changes and coolant flushes. Obviously break pads and rotors. It’s been amazing. Fun to drive although I get 22mpg average. As Long as you don’t touch it and don’t drive it like you stole it, you can count on it.

2014 Jeep Compass: I’ve had some issues with my Jeep but overall I’ve loved it. Bought it in 2016 with 34,000 miles on it. Now January 2026 I have 146,000 miles. Seems that things started to happen when it turned 10 years old. Tends to rust in the same places with all these jeeps (lower door trim, lower hatch trim). Had to get both front bearings replaced about $350 each side (suspension needs to maintained per manual timelines then you’ll have no problem), drivers window pulley broke and did repair myself, replaced throttle body myself (my fault for not keeping enough gas in the car). With that, I would recommend going above 3 in RPMs every now and again to teach your throttlebody to open wider. I’ve always kept RPM’s under 2.5. Stereo went out which is common in these models (went ahead and got a aftermarket stereo), drivers power window switch replaced (did myself for $80). Also, check engine light WILL come on if an oil change is needed. If your dash says oil change, you’re already waaaay too low. Now, my coolant is leaking around the cap. Thankfully it’s an easy fix I can do myself (about $100 repair). If you’re handy, these vehicles are easy to work on and if you keep them maintained, they will last a long while. With regular maintenance, I hope to keep it for another 150,000 miles. Oh yeah, 4WD gets stuck on or off sometimes. Not sure why but always seems to happen in the winter. Go figure.

I love the car. Bought it new. 104K miles. Super reliable. Only downside is a/c can be troublesome and mileage is subpar for being so small. I only get 23/23 mpg in normal commuting. Very fun to drive. Tons of space. Very nimble.

There's pro and cons with this car. I love the fact that this car is very good of mileages save so much fuel , I lived in San Antonio and we drove this car with full tank to Corpus Christi its about 2 hours and half, almost 145 miles away, then we came back still have half full of a tank. My deslike about the car is the front passenger set, its kinda very low and there's no other way of adjusting it. ( Blind spot)When changing lane specially to your rare left side ,you literally turning your head making sure there's no other vehicle. Other than that??The car is good to drive.

I had never purchased a Subaru before and was pleased with the information shared by John at Austin Subaru. He was friendly and knowledgable, a good listener, and enthusiastic. Also helpful were financial officers Jett Minor and Taylor Tice, who helped ease the tedium of contracts and transactions. They even had a friendly old-Austin employee who explained how the car bells and whistles work, after John had sent a "ready-to-go" email to me. Yes, I'd certainly recommend this dealership and look forward to a new-kind-of ride in a Forester.

I've owned my 2011 Expedition XLT regular wheelbase since 2012 (leftover). Basic cloth seats, manual A/C and heavy duty towing. This SUV has been super reliable. Preventative maintenance and I do all myself. Oil at 5k using Ford blend 5-20 for 100k and now 5-30. 3rd set of plugs and 2nd set of coils. This is the brown plug boot engine which I believe all 2008+ Expeditions use. Trans fluid changed at 60k, 110k and now ready. Front brakes have been replaced many times as it's just the way these brake. No problem as I do it myself but some may not like this. Liftgate the usual paint peeling and I don't care. Hood also has some under the front and think the bug shield has prevented it from peeling in the top of the hood. I just added a nice touchcreen with back up camera since the green LED radio got real dim. I plan on driving this one for another couple yrs and up to at least 200k. It appears the 2010-12 are overall very reliable and since they have a steep depreciation, not bad to pick one up. Not IF AND ONLY IF the oil was maintained with proper and FREQUENT oil changes! The 2008+ Ford 5.4L 3Valve in general is a decent engine ONLY IF THE OIL has been changed!!! If not, set aside $7k for an engine swap.

This was one of my favorite cars I test drove, but also one of the base models. It has a huge trunk and tons of room for a car seat or 2. Gets an average of 38-40mpg which is awesome for my driving to and from work.

We have a 2013 and it has 230k on it and runs like new, body is in excellent condition, been normal wear and tear things but we have gotten our money’s worth out of it and would buy another, we have the turbo model so it’s fun to drive and has the power on the high way.

Received excellent service from Kevin Griffin, he helped me make sure my car was in great condition to make a very important trip coming up. The workers also left my car sparking from a wash they did after my service was completed. Definitely recommend this advisor and service center!

Our 2015 2.4L Soul has been great. My wife works a split shift, so she commutes to and from work Twice a day. So it gets a lot of highway miles. We also have gone cross country a few times. Always serviced at the dealer (which is more expensive), But it kept the warranty alive. Engine needed replaced at 95K due to oil consumption, but warranty covered it. Now at 220K AC compressor died. But that is the 1st repair we have had to do. Everything else is holding up fine.
