We use our GMC Denali 2500 mostly for towing our 7,500 pound travel trailer. A big factor in high ratings is the diesel. With the tow/haul mode engaged, the mountains of north Georgia and the Smokies were no problem. Especially liked the exhaust brake on the long, steep downhills; it kept the rig totally safe under all braking conditions. We tow at 60 and get about 14 mpg with no headwind. If you tow campers or fifth wheelers, you know how good this is. We don't have the navigation screen, so the rear view camera appears on part of the rear view mirror. The image is small for hitching up; still need a spotter. The 2014 may not be as quiet as the upgraded 2015's, but noise is never an issue, and the Bose system sounds terrific. Just be really careful parking a crew cab with standard bed at Walmart......

This truck is the truck that all others should look up to. It rides great, will tow a house, runs smooth, and gets great fuel economy. The Allison transmission is so smooth. The AT4 looks great too.

First , I bought gas 6.0 , the diesels are great if you have serious towing needs. You just need to realize no matter how well you maintain a diesel it will at some point have an expensive repair. I've had my truck about 12 years. Regular maintenance , a few batteries , couple sets of tires and a MAF sensor. I tow a couple different trailers and the heaviest is less than 10k loaded. Towing , zero issues , no band aids , no overloads , no equalizing hitch , no sway control. Simply not needed. Drives amazing, stops great, Roughly 10 to 12 MPG towing. Unloaded driving at 60 / 65 on cruise solid 15 to 16 MPG. Yes , it won't pul the hills like a diesel but thats a small price to pay for an absolutely amazing truck. I want a new truck in the worst way but just can't part with this truck. A very good truck if you find a clean well maintained one.

Got the Duramax Sierra SLT crew cab with pretty much all the options, I’ve tried other trucks and currently have a 2007 Chevy Duramax and it turned me to GM from the ford and dodge diesels I’ve driven/owned in the past. Blows my mind with all the options, super comfortable and rides quite nice for a truck.

I visited the dealership because my tailgate would not close. They were able to give me a quote. Get the part and make the repairs within hours. The service staff was courteous and attentive, offering me shuttle service home and back repairs are being made.

Everything was negotiated by phone and email. I was done and not expecting to buy because the cost was slightly more than I was willing to spend. The dealership is approximately 170 miles away. Finally, and after I had given up, David Messanio made an offer I was willing to accept but he wanted me to make the purchase within 2 days. I agreed to drive to physically look and if satisfied, purchase the truck. Once at Vacaville GMC, I was warmly greeted and treated friendly yet professionally by the entire staff there. I paid over $106,000 for this truck with warranty. Do not care much about miles per gal. at that that price range. Just too much truck for me at my age.
