Used GMC cars for sale near Kiowa, CO under $40,000

I spoke with Adam at the Sterling Auto Sales Franktown dealership looking for a specific vehicle at 4pm. He had it delivered to them the next day as I traveled from out of town. The vehicle was ready and warmed up for me to test drive when I arrived. No high pressure sales, the vehicle was clean, loaded with extras, and drove perfect. Bought this 2016 GMC Canyon (4cyl) at car max in 2017 . It was part of a commercial fleet and was well taken care of and low mileage . I’ve only have had one problem and that was in the engine cooling system where I had to replace two hoses and a goose neck . While repairing that I noticed an oil leak around the valve cover so I replaced the gasket . It was under warranty still ( just happened in Jan 2024 ) . I could have repaired it myself but who wants to get all dirty when it can be repaired by GMC at little or no cost to me. It still has 6 months remaining on warranty ( I did purchase from CarMax) hoping it does not need any further repairs . It is 8 years old and according to its records this is the first repair other than natural repair items that had ever been needed . It rides well pulls my utility trailer fully loaded just fine . I also have a 2000 Ranger that I had to replace the tranny on when it was just a few years old . It has never needed any other work. I believe the GMC will last me for years to come . But you never know so I will be buying another after market warranty on it when the time comes . I’ve already added that to a 2015 vehicle I own who’s warranty had expired . I’m a old school mechanic I can repair olde vehicles easily ( compared to todays ) I’m also a former Turbo Prop Mechanic from the Air Force and worked those motors for almost 29 years . I had worked on Piston Air Craft Motors for a few years before the change . A lot like a car piston motor in many ways . Two kinds of piston motors on Air Craft . Line a cars block or a receptacating motor( Round) . Very easy to trouble shoot vs Turbo Prop. Just letting you know that I have experience as a mechanic and know a real problem vehicle when I see one . Would buy a GMC canyon again or maybe go larger due to my new 42 foot long Camper I have rec bought .

I bought a 2016 Yukon XL and after just a few weeks, a vehicle ran a stop sign and totaled the vehicle. However, the vehicle was so sturdy that even though it was a huge crash, I was not injured more than bruises. I replaced it with a 2018 Yukon XL because I know it is reliable and safe.

I purchased a new 2019 SLT with the X1 package. It has the Red Quartz Tintcoat paint. I usually never leave reviews, but honestly this is the most comfortable, nicest loking truck I've owned , and I've ownwd alot of them. The only issues I've had was the brake software was flawed, took it to the dealer on recall and they installed a new software patch, Other then that I love the styling, performance and the interior is very nice. No regrets

I bought a 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation. I traded in a FULLY loaded 2015 Sierra SLT, that I was really sad to see go, but the Elevation really sold me on styling and ride quality. I lost a couple high end bells and whistles, but the overall performance and look of the truck make up for it big time!

I have been going to Berkenkotter for 8 years now buying my 5th wheels and cars. I feel like they are family and they will bend over backwards for you and your needs. I will only go to them for my cars and I just purchased my 3rd 5th wheel today. If you want to be treated RIGHT then go see them in Castle Rock. Everyone who works there including the owner is awesome and treat you like a part of their family.

This truck is the base model and that is exactly what we were looking for. A good solid truck without all the fancy technology. It drives like a dream, handles just as well and the interior is sleek and well designed. Perfect black on black exterior.... a man's truck.

I bought my 2020 with 36k miles a couple of years ago and I now have 60k miles of trouble free very enjoyable driving. It was expensive, but worth every penny. The ride is so quiet and comfortable my wife and I prefer traveling in it instead of our 2018 Acura MDX which we also love. The 5.3 V8 has plenty of power and towing ability. The multi-function tail gate is genius, I hope to never be without one again. We so enjoy all the bells and whistles, especially the wireless phone charger. So glad I bought this truck!

I really appreciated that we weren't attacked the moment we got out of our car. We were able to walk around the lot, get a general idea for what we were interested in. We stepped inside their quaint little office and discussed our situation. We were certain the truck we were interested in was way out of our league, but they made it happen. The only down side of our purchase was the check engine light was on in the "new" but used vehicle. They promptly took it to the neighborhood auto shop who diagnosed the etiology of the warning. The truck was still under warranty, so we were able to get it fixed without cost. We were however, without our new truck for 5 days while it was getting worked on. We knew this purchasing the truck. Now it is running great, no light on and we're in love! I would definitely go back, but certainly be cautious about warranty coverage in used vehicles (not just here, but any dealer selling used vehicles).

overall i like the truck alot, its a very dependable vehicle. it has its little quirks for a used truck. there's little things like the drivers door switch for the mirrors and the door locks that are not working as of now but i haven't taken the time to look into it as of yet. minor to me and i'm sure i can fix for a few bucks. nice riding and driving truck i would buy again.

Am in disbelief every week at the Gas Pumps. Thou a big truck, mileage per gallons are 18 +. Last week it was 22.8. This week 19.78.

I've owned this GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain since it was 8 months old. With the exception of two warranty issues (failing power brake vacuum pump and transmission electrical harness), I have been totally happy with this truck. Up until now, my 1996 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado with it's 5.7L Vortec engine was my favorite truck of all time, this GMC (5.3L LS engine, 8 speed automatice) has earned the top spot now of my all time favorite truck. It is comfortable to drive, and runs as good as the day I bought it over 5+ years ago. I've got 71.5K miles on it. My biggest issue is I wished it had the 6.2L engine for better towing capabilities. Other than that ... love this truck.

I bought this 2017 Tahoe w LT trim new. Have 60K on it now and have had no issues with it. We are not towing with it or doing high speed racing so we find the 5.3L Motor is smooth and quiet (and have not had any lifter issues which others have reported). Transmission and suspension also smooth. We keep Michelins on all our vehicles and have found this Tahoe very quiet and comfortable for road trips with 4-6 people and luggage. The LT trim pkg deleted some comfort items I wish I had (like heated steering wheel) but it still is pretty much leather-and-loaded so it was a good value at the time. I have had Suburbans for 35yrs before purchasing this Tahoe and I will probably go back to a Suburban for the extra cargo space when I trade this Tahoe in. But this has been a nice and reliable vehicle for us. No complaints.

handles and drives great, the electronics don't always work, mirrors don't always work, spray with wd 40, check engine light, EVAP culprit, auto nation has no luck with this, will drive it till the warrenty expires and its back to ford for me

I truly enjoy every aspect of this vehicle except for the fact that to have my text messages displayed on the screen I have to use a cord and cord my phone into the vehicle. I can Bluetooth phone calls But I cannot get any messages to display without using a cord. For the truck being a 2019 and the price point of it that is absolutely absurd. Other radios that GMCsells has this feature. This truck does not.

I was referred to Dan by a friend of a friend. I didn't really even know who I was calling until I heard the last name - Berkenkotter. He was very kind and friendly and told me that he or his staff could bring my 2010 Heartland North Trail Travel Trailer in from the storage lot about 15 miles away and then they would make me an offer or they could put it on consignment for me. I took the offer, because I'd done my research and I knew it was a reasonable offer. Very nice staff, it's got the feel of an old time family business where deals are made with handshakes. Very happy!

My dad bought the Sierra brand new in 2004 and I recently got it as a hand me down 2nd truck, and all I can say is it's perfect for what I need. Most reliable truck ever and I can get up to 16 in town and 22 on the highway. The 5.3 liter Vortec LM7 is probably the best engine ever made. The transmission is very responsive and the truck is surprisingly quick. And the 4 wheel drive works. My S10 never did that. Would definitely recommend. My only complaint is the ride is quite stiff with the twin leaf spring tow suspension, but it's supposed to be because it's toe suspension.
