It's a fantastic vehicle, both inside and out. I get about 30-50 electric miles depending on whether I do freeway or side-street driving, what the outdoor temperature is, if I have AC on, etc. I get 50-60 mpg when the engine turns on. It gets to freeway speeds really fast in sport mode, but I normally stay on eco/normal mode - normal mode has more than enough power for my needs. Interior features lack the extra toys from the XSE and Premium trims, but I can live without them. Trunk space is adequate with the folding cover attached and only slightly better without it due to the sloped rear exterior. But I've never had a problem with trunk space since folding down the seats grants more than enough room for my needs. Cabin space is decent. No one in my family and friend group is over 182 cm tall so all of them can fit with ample head and leg room. I have no complaints with the handling, even at higher speeds. It's smooth, but outside noise does get a bit loud especially when the engine turns on. Charging is a tad over nine hours if using a standard 110v/120v L1 charger, and half that with a 220v/240v L2 charger. The Prius Prime is not built to handle DC charging, so don't bother with that. EV mode is good for up to 55 mph or so, and HV mode is good for speeds beyond that. The sweet spot speed for HV mode seems to be around 65-72 mph. Beyond that and efficiency takes a nosedive. The Prius Prime, or any plug-in hybrid (PHEV), isn't for everyone. It's the best of both worlds, but it's also the worst of both worlds. During EV mode, a PHEV is a less efficient battery electric vehicle (BEV) since it's carrying a heavy internal combustion engine (ICE) that isn't being used, along with all the other ICE components. It also has all the maintenance requirements of the standard HEV variant, unlike a true BEV. When the battery is depleted, a PHEV is a worse hybrid since it's carrying a big battery that isn't being used. Despite a PHEV's versatility between gasoline and electric usage, it isn't for everyone. It can run on gasoline only without ever charging the battery, but then you lose all the benefits of EV driving. You paid extra for the EV experience, so you might as well charge the battery. Final thoughts: the Prius Prime is a very good car, but only If you can charge at home. If not, then get the standard Prius since that one is an even more efficient hybrid.

The plug-in is what I really wanted. An outstand car, the battery is way to small. A full electric car is not the best choise for driving in Colo and Wy. The Prius is the best of both worlds

As usual, a good experience. Setting appointment on-line is fast, and they look up your car to advise service based on mileage. On appointment day, I could drop off car early. They asked me if I wanted ride home (I was all set). They did the work, called me a couple hours later, made payment, with no glitches.

My carcwas accidentally sprayed with driveway sealcoat material. The day it happened I stopped into your detail center. The gentleman in the office assured me that Modern Auto Detailing center would do their best to clean up the mess. It was 3 weeks later when I was finally able yo get it done. Given the current Corona virus crisis, everyone was wearing face masks and hand sanitizer was everywhere to be found. Everyone was kind, courteous, and patient. The finance team made everything straight forward, and we were able to conclude our business and purchased the car in a very short period of time. This car is overall great to own. I have an XSE trim, and though I would've liked to have XSE Premium's features, those are minor gripes at worst. Daily commutes are a breeze. I have a bit of a light foot while driving but it's easy to merge into traffic even in EV mode (161hp compared to 220hp in hybrid mode). Steering feels grounded and relative to how much effort should be put into turning. The braking is also good; it feels linear without any jolts or sponginess. The engine can get noisy if the battery's low (less than 25%) but it's seldom been an issue for me. Changing the drive mode to Sport makes regenerative braking slightly stronger and steering slightly heavier. I average about 4.8mi/kWh (161.7MPGe) and 56MPG. Road trips are also great in this vehicle. The EPA estimate for this vehicle's trim is 39 electric miles and 50MPG. I get about 40 miles with cruise control on, and MPG in the mid-high 50s or low 60s with good weather. Ride quality is smooth and there's no shaking when going over small bumps. The seats are comfortable up front even over long periods of time. It's a bit low getting in (especially in the back). Rear seats are a little snug; I'm 5'10½" and can fit well enough with a tiny bit of room to stretch my legs. I can fit my hand between my head and the ceiling, so anyone who's taller or has larger hair should stick to the front. Visibility is good overall. I had to adjust the steering wheel column down some to clearly see the dashboard information but it isn't uncomfortable to me. Outward visibility great out of the front and sides, but the rear window is pretty small. I would've opted for XSE Premium's digital rearview mirror if I frequently hauled larger things around. Cargo space and storage is pretty decent for the class. I can fit two midsize suitcases in the back with the tonneau cover on. The front and rear cupholders can hold 20oz travel mugs and the bottle holders in the doors can hold a 22fl oz can. The center console can hold a good amount of small objects and the tray in the middle can be removed for more space. All in all, I'd recommend the Prius to anyone looking for a small vehicle. The regular one is better on gas and has a bit more cargo space, but if you're able to regularly plug in, i'd say go for the PHEV variant.

Great overall little commuter hatchback. We got ours a few years old with low mileage due to the options we wanted. The other reviews are kind of silly on here, complaining about a car due to lack of options selected by the buyer. Yes it wont have heated seats if you dont get the heated seat models lol. Our model is the EX, it has a sunroof, blind mirror indicator, heated seats, and a manual 6 speed transmission. Basically all features any high end model could use, I dont like leather seats due to the degradation long term. Just make sure you avoid the CVT transmission. Our area would not offer manual 6 speed on the high end trim so we had to travel out of state to get ours. Few mods added to the car to make it even better: - bi-led projector retrofit on headlights - led bulbs all around, plates, interior. - auto dim rear view mirror (easy wire in) - front facing dash cam - sirius satellite radio - winter aluminum rims (instead of steelies), summer has factory 17" aluminum black/silver combo - towing hitch (bike carrier) -- vehicle rated at 2000 lbs Overall its been very reliable, super practical with the folding seats. It gets excellent fuel efficiency and fits everywhere. Power wise, its very snappy given with a manual transmission you can control it a lot better than the sloppy CVT. The manual does 0-60mph in 8 seconds or less, which is very fast for a little car. Its not a tesla or a GTR with 130hp but its plenty for its 36-40 mpg. One issue ours had was the starter went out really early, but it was an easy change out, its a known issue. The seats are not very comfortable for long trips but thats because they are so small and its a commuter car. The cam gear also can get noisy on these at start up, so they will rattle but has no impact to performance. We have just over 100k miles on ours and its a very strong little car, will be getting another one of the final production year as this one gets higher in mileage. Again get the manual 6, you will not regret it, honda manual cars are semi automatic, the clutch is like a feather vs. a subaru for example. Totally worth it.

It's a shame more people were not familiar with this car before Chevrolet stopped producing them. I drive on EV mode almost all the time, except when going on long trips. There is no range anxiety with the Volt. My car is averaging 181,000 MPG lifetime.

I had my Toyota Highlander in for an oil/filter change along with tire rotation and I asked for my transmission fluid to be changed out. All work done and done correctly. I an honest and knowledgeable service advisor named Denise. She is awesome. She does only the work that I ask to be done. If I get a call from Denise for anything extra then I know it is a job that needs to be done. Good work done by all.

Quick, fun, economical. Still learning all the tech and experimenting with all the energy and performance options. Getting around 40 miles per charge with AC. Gets lots of positive looks. Front door head clearance could be a lot better. Driver display not the problem of some reviews, more like a large heads up display. A keeper!

Was looking for a basic hatchback with good gas mileage that wasn't stupid expensive. Commute to work and so far combined I get 42mpg. Rides as good as any car I have owned (with one exception). Performance wise have no idea how old the reviewers are or even if they actually drove the car as it has no problem on the highway or in town driving, rarely do I exceed 4,000rpm to keep up with or ahead of traffic. It's like people don't remember how cars were in the past before the horsepower race to cram 250-350hp engines into everything. In town it's 0-30 that matters but even the 0-60 of 10.4 sec is equal to or better than most small cars from the 70's-90's. Only car I owned that was faster was my '73 Jaguar XJ12. Almost identical 0-60 were my CRX, Opel GT, 200sx. My Triumph Spitfire was way slower. But they were all fun cars to drive.

Bought a 2024 XSE Premium recently, brand new, and I could not be happier. Great range, great MPG, amazing creature comforts, and standard safety features. I have already had several people ask me what it was and be completely blindsided when I told them a Prius! The only thing I found is it can be hard to find them as Toyota doesn’t produce many each year, so I was lucky to pay under MSRP.

This car is amazing but if you like music you are going to have a lot of problems with its audio system. Who ever Acura let do the audio system needs to never do it again. Audio system doesn’t even last for more than a year

We have had the 2021 Prius Prime since April and have about 1600 miles on it,we have not used a 1/2 tank of gas as yet.We charge our Prius every day.Love the ride and the sporty look.Had to find one in the area ,took us about a month to get it and it was worth the wait.
