Used hatchbacks for sale near Stony Point, MI under $19,982

I purchased my 2013 Mazda 3i Grand Touring Hatchback (manual transmission) in 2014 and the previous owner had put 30K miles on it. I've now got 140K and still love the car. Outside of recommended maintenance, the only repair expense I've had was I decided to replace the clutch. It hadn't failed but it was starting to show some slippage. I haven't even had to replace the brake pads yet! As for likes and dislikes that someone checking out this car might not notice just from looking, here are some negatives: 1) The 1-2 shift is always a bit notchy but others are smooth. 2) The 2.0L doesn't have a lot of power in the lower revs but 3000-4000 rpms it's pretty spirited (assuming you don't have four large adults in the car) 3) I ended up replacing the OEM headunit (the BOSE with Navigation) with an Eonon. I had issues getting the Eonon working early on but after a couple updates, it's been a huge improvement. 4) The biggest negative is that at some point, I'll have to let it go. On the positive side: 1) It handles great, 2) It carries a decent amount for its size 3) It gets good gas mileage (I used to average 35mpg but in recent years my driving in this car has been more around town and it's fallen back to 31-32.) 4) It's been extremely reliable. 5) The front seats are very comfortable (I'm 5'7" and the car fits me great. I imagine taller people would not be as comfortable.)

I was in the market for a new Cadillac and had a 2021 Jeep Gladiator to trade. KBB quoted a price which Suburban guaranteed - So I made a call and spoke to Todd in new car sales. Having never met him before, he located a vehicle in Pennsylvania, traded for it and had it at in Plymouth in a day. We met him for the first time when we took delivery of our new vehicle. Could not ask for better!! Any future Cadillac purchases will be done with Suburban and Todd!!!

Absolutely love my car. 2018 SI sedan 6speed manual. A/C was fixed at dealer a while back. No problem since. No other problems of any kind. I never get under 35MPG COMBINED city and freeway. We drove to Phoenix and never got gas on the way. I’m at almost 90k miles, favorite car I have owned. I added a subwoofer to the stock stereo and it’s pretty good with Dolby Neural. I am amazed at the engineering to have over 200hp and just under 40mpg. Seat material is cheap. That’s one complaint. And it rides like a civic SI especially in sport mode. The handling is top notch I’ve scared a few people taking corners. If you like the SI cars over the years, this is one of the best

I haven't owned a 4 cylinder in a long time. I had a turbo 5 Volvo, a 6 cylinder accord, and a Mercedes c300 6 as my last three cars, then before that I owned a last model year RSX (2006, I wouldn't count the new ones) for a long time so that's the closest comparison to this. I think the RSX felt a bit more sporty (I didn't have the Type S), but as for power they're a pretty close match, and I bet the Mazda 3 would smoke it off the line with it's torque heavy engine. I think the RSX looked more sporty too, it had probably a more mature styling to it that I appreciate now even more than I did when I owned one, but I will say every time I look at my Mazda 3 I like it more and more. I've seen a thousand of these on the road and never had a strong opinion on them, but my girl in red keeps growing on me, and when I take the dog out for walks I circle the car and look it over and understand it more and more. I have a 2018 fully loaded GT, and the interior is mostly it's strongest positive. The facelifted w204 is easily the nicest looking interior I've ever been in, and the accord maybe the most comfortable, but this is incredibly close to the accord in terms of comfort and only lacking in slightly worse seats and less room. The seats are great though, but the 2012 accords were some of the best I've say in. The fake leather has a great balance of firm and give to it, and what's even better is the whole interior is wrapped in a similar nice synthetic material that's a joy to be wrapped in. I've never owned a car where my arms are supported on both sides in such a comfortable manner. I'm 6'1 so I keep my seat low but I feel like I have a good deal of room, in fact, I test drove a 2023 (gen 4) Mazda 3 that was an incredible price, about $800 off from my 2018 and even less miles but the new interior design is nowhere close to as good as what we get in the gen 3. You have almost no room to spread your legs out in the newer models and that's a deal breaker for me. The one major weakness of the 2018's interior is the tablet on top of the dash looks hideous. I think I mentioned earlier my model is fully loaded, and I mean it. But what's that mean, a premium sound system, some exterior trim pieces tacked on? Nope, here we have some genuinely cool features. Adaptive headlights that turn with the wheel, a heads up display that's projected on a piece of clear plastic that raises up when you start the engine and can show speed, road signs, blind spot info, next GPS heading, etc. We have automatic windshield wipers, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, a great Bose sound system, paddle shifters. My car has more bells and whistles than my wife's high trim 2023 Tuscon. I really love my little Mazda, and I'm hoping to take it down some back roads to see if I can enjoy the driving part as much as some others do, as I've mostly spent time on the highway or in stop and go so far. This was a purchase I was unsure of 3 days ago when I made it, but every couple waking hours something pulls me to that car, whether to drive it or just to sit in it. I know now I've made a great choice.

I purchased my 2015 Ford fiesta SE about a month ago with 30,000 miles on it. It is a 5 speed manual transmission and have done some light maintenance to it like changed the oil, wiper blades and new tires. I purchased this car to use for commuting to and from work and everyday use. I was able to take it out on the open road over the weekend and was very surprised how well it performed going up steep hills and on the highway. It kept it's power up hills and I was easily able to maintain a 75 mph. Great on gas, fun to drive the only con that I have experienced this far is the limited back seat space. Overall a great little economical car for the price.

I purchased my 2019 Kia Soul with 52,000 miles on it in April last year. I now have 62,000 on it now. It looks good and drives great. No problems so far. Nice car.

It's a shame more people were not familiar with this car before Chevrolet stopped producing them. I drive on EV mode almost all the time, except when going on long trips. There is no range anxiety with the Volt. My car is averaging 181,000 MPG lifetime.

I am happy with my Ioniq hybrid. The best thing has been the gas mileage; I get between 40-55 mpg. Definitely enjoying fewer stops at the gas station. When driving, it’s not super speedy off the line, but that is to be expected as I use “eco” mode and not the optional sport mode. I also like the safety features like collision warning, lane assist, and blind spot detection. They make me feel a little better when out on the freeway, like I have another set of eyes. Also 5 star crash safety ratings. I like the style and the hatchback for storage.

The car meets a perfect speed standard for specific drivers, if you want power when you need to pass somebody or just got a nice long road you want to open it up on, you can do it, very well if I must say, the 2.0t is a amazing motor overall, so many different things you can do with it power wise, just overall a great balance car, butttt your back seat is not the best in a 2 door, which is what I have lol, oh well

Purchased a used 2018 with 35K miles in 2023. I now have 75K miles as it's a commuter car, about 90 miles a day. I average almost 41 mpg going from Pueblo to Colorado Springs and back. The CVT was a bit suspect when I first got it, but I think the driving has corrected the 3rd gear delay. The CVT is hands down better than my Altima. One year that car was gone, total junk.

I own a Kia Soul 2016 has currently 62,000 miles ,purchased it with 23,000 miles on it.So far its been a fantastic car. No maintenance issues. Keep up with all the recommended maintenance and I'm sure your have a long time vehicle.

I was pleased with how quickly they repaired my Malibu. I and put in an hour for a tear in my sidewall. Unfortunately I needed an oil change and their schedule was full. So I had to use an outside source.

We purchased our 2017 hatchback new in the summer of 2017. Our only expenses at 134,000 plus miles has been gas, regular oil and filter changes, tire pressure sensor and tires. A VERY reliable car with average mileage 34 mpg, max highway was 55 plus! And normal highway at 70 mpg of 43 mpg. No interior, exterior or mechanical issues or viewable wear. I wish Chevy still produced them for sale in U.S.A. as we would gladly buy another. No other new vehicle this size, mileage, amenities at this price.

I, and my wife bought a 2018 Chevy Cruze LS Sedan in February 2018 brand new right off the back of the delivery truck. We simply take very good care of "PIP" as we call him, and he has and does take very good care of us. The key is keep up with all of the maintance before it is needed! I had been searching for a car since late August and finally bought one on December 1. I have searched the inventory at Hertz Woodhaven in the past but never found a car intriguing enough to check into until now. I made contact with Hertz first through cars.com email after seeing a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage at a unbelievably attractive price. I received a prompt email reply from Jordan, my sales rep, who told me that the car probably would be sold but that if the deal fell through she would contact me again - which she did the same day. I test drove that car but I found a couple of things I disliked about it. Hertz had three other 2015 Mirages on their lot so I tried another one. Didn't care for that one either so I tried a third. That one I liked. Jordan was extremely cooperative the entire time. I did not detect the slightest aggravation from her whatsoever. She was very professional and cordial. Outstanding in every way. So, once I decided to purchase, Jordan handed me off to Matt, the business manager, who handled the sale documents. Matt was Jordan's equal in his professionalism. Never hurried me through anything. He was also sympathetic when it came time for me to write the check. I hesitated briefly because I wasn't entirely sure I wanted to buy at that moment. Matt was very patient and could see that I was slightly reluctant but did not display any signs of irritation with me. That put my mind at ease and made me feel comfortable and confident enough to complete the sale. It also helps that Hertz has a no haggle price policy. No need for the extended negotiations which often take a lot of time - too much usually. Another big plus with Matt is that he kept all of his promises. The car was ready to pick up the next day and the title arrived to my home within a week. You can't ask for better service than that. More often than not, I've needed to contact a dealer after the sale to straighten out something. In addition to Jordan and Matt, there were a few other sales people who were very friendly while I waited for the sale to be completed. It might have been because I was the only car buyer there that time and day. Nevertheless, none of the staff ignored me when I had a question or when I felt like talking to kill the time. It didn't take very long - 90 minutes start to finish. Buying a used rental car at Hertz Woodhaven was the least stressful car buying experience I've had in 40 years. As to the facilities themselves, the Hertz corporation should consider upgrading the showroom appearance to match the five star level of customer service. The building is old and the interior decor spartan - but it was clean inside and out which is commendable. And, their lot is too small for the number of vehicles on hand. Although I found a parking spot in the back, there was only one spot. A dedicated area just for customers would be a big improvement - 4 or 5 spaces in front would be sufficient and would plainly show that the customer is #1! Now onto a couple of big negatives that is probably just Hertz corp. policy and beyond the control of the sales staff. Matt presented options for add-ons such as Lo Jack, extended warranty, etc. which was a real turn off. I told him before he started his spiel that I was not interested in any extras and I got the impression he had to offer them anyway. Standard procedure I suppose. I wish car dealers would stop doing this already. I know, good luck with that. Another thing I didn't like is that Hertz only had one car key when I took possession which apparently is common when buying their rentals. It might have been mentioned the day before or cited in the paperwork but I don't recall this happening. Hertz should try harder to keep both keys with the cars they're selling. Very strange that they don't. Where does the other key disappear to? Anyway, a long winded but honest appraisal of my Hertz Woodhaven experience.

The Kia Soul is great for commuting and getting around town. It gets very good mileage and has everything I need to get comfortably from point A to point B. It's not a "Grand Tourer." It won't set your heart aflutter as your roar down the interstate. But it's comfortable to drive, the styling is good (I kind of like the older model years slightly better), and the features are well thought out and valuable. I REALLY like the Kia Soul! The one I won now is my second one, and I wouldn't be surprised if I end up with another some day.

I bought a leftover Ford CMax Energi plug-in hybrid 6 years ago. My only regret is, that Ford discontinued making this model. I was a Mopar man all my life, but I am now a Ford man. My CMax is the most satisfying car I have ever owned, and I will keep it until I die. It's a plug -in hybrid, so I can drive 1,000 miles from Philly to Tampa without sopping to charge the battery. One or two fill-ups for gas. And it has electric everything, so it's so comfortable to drive all day. I just wish I was younger, so I could enjoy it longer.

Bought this new, never had any major issues mechanically. I take care to give it regular oil changes with synthetic. The nav has gotten laggy so I don't bother with it anymore and stick with my phone. I've also noticed the TPMS sensors seem more sensitive lately, so it annoyingly warns me about low tire pressure, even when it's not that bad yet. This blocks the screen telling me avg. mpg, so I have to fill it up I can't just ignore it for awhile. Other than that I still love driving it, it's quick enough for me and fun to drive around town. I was expecting to change cars much early especially with the warranty now over, but I'm going to stick with it for a few more years.
