THE LITTLE 1.2 DOHC ENGINE IS STRONG BUT MITUSBISHI SHOULD HAVE PUT A STANDARD TURBO ON THIS ENGINE,, THATS WHY MITSUBISHI MADE THE 3A92 MIVEC ENGINE.. HIGHLY DURABLE & STRONG .. NO PROBLEM ON THE HIGHWAY OR THE TAKE OFF FROM A STREET LIGHT. THE TRANSMISSION IS ALSO GOOD.. CVT.. NEVER CRAZY ABOUT CVT ... BUT THIS TRANSMISSION IS OK.. CAR HANDLES IN SNOW.. RAIN,, RUNS WELL.. PERFORMANCE IS THE BEST OF THE SUB COMPACT CARS AND EVEN LARGER 4 D SEDANS,, THE MIRAGE IS ROOMY INSIDE ALSO. IVE HAD 6 FOOT 4 FREINDS IN THE CAR . THEY WERE SHOCKED .. LOL... IVE BEEN OFFERED BY KIA. TO TRADE MINE IN TO THEM.. .. BUT I REALLY LIKE THIS LITTLE CAR.. "" NEBULA"" IS HER NAME. 100K MILE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY.. IVE HIT THE 100K MARK.. JUS HAD A TUNE UP AND NEW TIRES.ITS BEEN PAID OFF SINCE 22..SO IM STUCK RIGHT NOW .. IN WINTER. I JUS WISH THE MIRAGE CAME WITH A STOCK TURBO,, IT WOULD REALLY BE FUN.. IDK IF I WANT A NEWER CAR .. This car feels very neutral and smooth in corners at any speed. Sometimes, it feels like it's too easy to go too fast in this because the grip is so confidence-inspiring. I have the non-turbocharged model, which has plenty of giddy up to it. I'm not sure if I regret choosing it over a turbocharged variant but there's plenty of power for my needs. The gearing is pretty tall and you need to plant your foot to let it rev out and find the right gear, but doing so is rewarded with a very responsive and surprisingly smooth engine for being a 4 cylinder. I was feathery on the gas at first, so it was underwhelming but I adjusted to the inputs. The car feels plenty sporty and the grip makes cornering feel amazing. The rear suspension is torsion beam and you will notice it on very poor roads, but everyday driving on decent roads feels super refined, quiet and grip is not affected by this suspension arrangement. I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm 6'3" and fit pretty comfortably in the car even with the sunroof right above me. I've been in cars with more front legroom and have been less comfortable than I am in this car. Seat bolstering could be an issue for those with wider shoulders. I'm someone who loves a low driving position, so this car is a godsend in a world of soulless, blobby SUVs. I think this is the best all-around compact car you can get.

Was looking for a basic hatchback with good gas mileage that wasn't stupid expensive. Commute to work and so far combined I get 42mpg. Rides as good as any car I have owned (with one exception). Performance wise have no idea how old the reviewers are or even if they actually drove the car as it has no problem on the highway or in town driving, rarely do I exceed 4,000rpm to keep up with or ahead of traffic. It's like people don't remember how cars were in the past before the horsepower race to cram 250-350hp engines into everything. In town it's 0-30 that matters but even the 0-60 of 10.4 sec is equal to or better than most small cars from the 70's-90's. Only car I owned that was faster was my '73 Jaguar XJ12. Almost identical 0-60 were my CRX, Opel GT, 200sx. My Triumph Spitfire was way slower. But they were all fun cars to drive.

I am writing ANOTHER review for Trend Auto since I continue to use them for maintenance issues regarding my used Toyota Sienna that I purchased from them years ago. I have had several issues pop up through the years regarding my van and not only have they resolved each and every problem, they did so in a very reasonably priced and expedient manner. I cannot say enough good things about Trend Auto. I would not even consider going elsewhere. I trust these guys 100% and KEVIN IS FABULOUS! He is honest, fair and trust worthy. They all are an absolute pleasure to work with as I have never had one negative interaction with anyone there. This car is great for a first car! I’ve gotten this car as 16 year old brand new in 2015. Since then I had many oil changes and tire rotations. I use this car for transportation of friends and family, going to work and school. As of today I have over 200,000+ miles on this and it is still going strong. With me getting around 39-45mpg every day. (Back when gas was under a dollar I only paid $7 for a fill up. Now it’s $20 so definitely worth it instead of paying $40-$80 per fill up.) The only issue I have with it is the check engine light is on and doing diagnostics it has emissions issues with a small leak. The inside you get a basic radio I suggest getting a Bluetooth audio receiver so you can listen to your own music on your phone. Driving at night is one of the worst things in this car. You get blinded every time you go past a car in the opposite lanes. Also the cloth seats are amazing your xxx is never frozen compared to a leather seat.

Absolutely love my car. 2018 SI sedan 6speed manual. A/C was fixed at dealer a while back. No problem since. No other problems of any kind. I never get under 35MPG COMBINED city and freeway. We drove to Phoenix and never got gas on the way. I’m at almost 90k miles, favorite car I have owned. I added a subwoofer to the stock stereo and it’s pretty good with Dolby Neural. I am amazed at the engineering to have over 200hp and just under 40mpg. Seat material is cheap. That’s one complaint. And it rides like a civic SI especially in sport mode. The handling is top notch I’ve scared a few people taking corners. If you like the SI cars over the years, this is one of the best

Car is surprisingly compliant, I’ve had a few big Audis and vws with low profile tires and this car is really comfortable in comfort mode, took it immediately to a private event at Palmer a few weeks back and the car in stock form did fabulously, definitely lives up to the hype.... and then some. Only downside so far is the lack of options for tires since this car has odd-sized tires, non oem wheels are out of the question, the car has zero torque steer, aftermarket wheels would make all the magic go away. Also, 30mpg is a big plus. I traded my 2011 Range Rover sport for this and honestly the Honda rides better. Leaving the car stock will be the main goal, the car to my eyes is absolutely perfect and livable for daily duties. One thing I’ve noticed lately is that the car has not stopped from appreciating. Future classic is an understatement.

Purchased for my wife's 80 + mile daily commute. She drove it daily for over 10 and a half years. All maintenance done by the Honda Dealer in Saratoga Springs, NY Great service, by the way. A very trouble free car. She decided to purchase a new CRV earlier this year. I now drive the Insight for my daily 40 mile commute. I average 58MPG, as I drive it very easy and avoid the interstate. It now has 228,000 miles and still going strong! I highly recommend this if you don't mind its lower performance but it pays back in great gas mileage. I fill up every 14 to 16 days for less than $18.00. Can't say enough about how good of a car this is. My son is turning 16, in a few months. This will be his 1 car. I am looking for another one for myself.

Got a '25 Integra TypeS. ~25mpg daily driver with attitude. Love driving this manual 6-speed! Engine and transmission is a perfect pair. Honda quality! Not the fastest car on the road but so much fun to drive and own.

A few years back I had a Suburban and hated coming upon hybrids. When the time came for a new car I first was thinking Corolla since it was my first new car decades ago. Then I figured why not a Prius? I have the XLE model that has most anything you could want in a new car. I usually only go 5mph over speed limits but I'm always passing all the cars when going uphill. I get looks from other drivers I pass wondering why I'm passing them in a Prius. Great handling too and so far I've taken it up to 114mph. I could've kept going but there was traffic ahead so it'll wait for another stretch of road. If I ever buy a Ferrari, I'll get a license plate frame that says, "My other car is a Prius"!

The Prius is the last cat you will have to buy. The reason being is that this vehicle is extremely reliable. It gets over 50 MPG & it doesn’t have any issues or problems whatsoever. I was skeptical upon purchasing this vehicle, being 6 ft. 1 & 235 lbs, but it actually is quite comfortable inside. Overall this is a rock solid vehicle, it will not disappoint you in any way. Highly recommended!

We purchased our Mitsubishi used a year ago and have been quite pleased darting around Los Angeles with this small car. As small as it is, it's quite comfortable, even roomy, inside. Runs well. Highly recommend for older folks like us who don't do a lot of long-range driving.
