I had this car for about 1 year. I purchased it as a lease return so it was well maintained. I used it for commuting to work only and was able to get to and from work on a single charge. So I've only used one tank of gas during the entire time I had it and just filled it up last week.

My Lanos is definitely okay. I bought it new and it's been reliable and hasn't been too much trouble but I have had to replace parts I've never had to replace in any other car I've ever owned. (wheel bearing, tie rod end, stablizer bar link, a/c condensor) All this by 60k, I've had other cars go 200k without these parts being changed. Since everyone says these cars need timing belt changed, i had it and water pump done at 60k. This is a problem because apparently it's very hard to do. The mechanic had car for a long time, and it took about four tries until they got it right. Now I'm still not sure it's done right... so I kind of wish I bought a car with a timing chain, not a belt. The thermostat housing is made of plastic so they break and leave you stranded. Very poor design! Now I carry a spare. The Lanos handles okay, is easy to park and I LOVE a hatchback! I picked up our new dishwasher in the Lanos, and I've had my bike back there many times. Personally I think the gas mileage is very dissapointing for such a small car! There's also a very poor range, maybe 200 to 250 miles before i have to fill it again. Our other car (Honda Civic) gets MUCH MUCH better mileage, maybe 10-12 miles more PER GALLON. Plus the Civic gets almost 500 miles out of a tank, but it holds two gallons more than the Lanos. My inlaws borrowed it for a while when their car was broken and they said they were very impressed. So all in all, it's no Honda but it's definitely okay!

Keep in mind this rating is for a small gas fuel efficient economy car, it's way more than expected and for 2 years has not diminished my opinion at all. Good reliable car. Here in New England I have seen models from 2013 and newer still driven all over and even the prior avio models on the road too. BSic maintenance keeps them together. It is a good car!

This Beetle was my car that I traded in recently for a new Tiguan. The car was excellent, and always reliable. We wanted to own one of the last Beetles made, and glad that we purchased it from Mt. It's got a unique look, to be sure. It may not have a ton of horsepower but it can GO from a dead stop faster than almost any car around you. It's small size makes it a perfect city car, and if you need something reliable and inexpensive for commuting you really can't beat it: I spent at or under $20 a month to charge this car at home. For maintenance: no oil changes, just routine tire pressure checks. Even inspections are cheaper without any emissions to check! Bottom line, this is a fantastic budget vehicle and definitely eye-catching.

Most affordable vehicles on the area, easy purchasing process, after deciding on which car I wanted it took only 15 minutes to do the paperwork and drive off. Taxes plates and registration was taken care of there so I don't even have to deal with the dmv. Thanks again!

I have always driven large cars and trucks. This car has been so much fun for what it is. It is the most comfortable economy car I have ever driven. I am nervous about the cvt. I had the dealer (against their recommendation) flush the fluid and filter at 45K. We’re at 90k now so I’m going to have it done again. Considering it’s an economy car, it’s very good in every aspect except the 0-5mph acceleration. It just doesn’t want to get moving—but you get used to it, and it’s fine once it gets rolling. Fingers crossed that its reliability continues beyond 100k.

Very good repairs were done correctly and a timely manner

I’ve owned my 2010 mini cooper base for 5 years now and let me tell you i am OBSESSED with it. bought the car with a small coolant leak, and fixing that was a little pricey, but other than that i’ve had zero issues with it. super comfortable, no cosmetic issues inside or out, and drives me around! I live in an incredibly small town, so i can go 3 months on one tank of gas.

I bought a 2015 with over 100K miles on it. I love the interior and the handling, and the utility of having a 3 series BMW with a hatchback. There's loads of room in the back seat and in the trunk area. I wish I could update the tech - it's based off v3.0 of wireless, so most of the built-in tech does not work. The car was well cared for, so I hope I can get through a few happy years of ownership without the notorious large BMW repair bills...

This is my first small car in decades (having driven trucks and suv's the last 30 years. I wanted a commuter car for a long work commute, and this is perfect. The inside is not quite as nice as my previous Lexus models, but it is far nicer than a Toyota interior of the same time period. I love the looks of the hatchback and the fuel economy is solid. In sport mode its lively and fun to drive. A+

I have a first year 2011 with 76,000 miles still mint condition. I purchased it for a daily driver and someone had left it in a garage for 8 years. Here is my take, stylish vs a Prius, comfortable beyond compare. Seats are comfortable for long drives. The interior is nice just not as nice as top luxury interiors but still luxury for a commuter car. The power is minimal but the handling and steering is amazing for such an eco friendly car. The storage isn’t the most but it does provide lay down seats allowing a hatchback cavity to put things. Gas mileage is 46.2 mp and cruises at 75mph smooth and efficiently. I can’t imagine selling this car. I’ll drive to 300,000+ As a daily driver and be happy the whole time. I have a new Cadillac CT6 and frankly I like this better. Reliable is also the key, no known issues for these models. That’s rare and you couple that with good styling, fuel efficient, comfortable yet still maintains a sporty feel despite its Prius drive train you have a winner. Best used daily driver someone can pick up for a reasonable amount of money. The Prius has more room better mileage but it lacks style, refinement, driving performance n feel. This has that and it’s a Lexus which doesn’t feel so Prius like when others are judging you in traffic lol.
