THE LITTLE 1.2 DOHC ENGINE IS STRONG BUT MITUSBISHI SHOULD HAVE PUT A STANDARD TURBO ON THIS ENGINE,, THATS WHY MITSUBISHI MADE THE 3A92 MIVEC ENGINE.. HIGHLY DURABLE & STRONG .. NO PROBLEM ON THE HIGHWAY OR THE TAKE OFF FROM A STREET LIGHT. THE TRANSMISSION IS ALSO GOOD.. CVT.. NEVER CRAZY ABOUT CVT ... BUT THIS TRANSMISSION IS OK.. CAR HANDLES IN SNOW.. RAIN,, RUNS WELL.. PERFORMANCE IS THE BEST OF THE SUB COMPACT CARS AND EVEN LARGER 4 D SEDANS,, THE MIRAGE IS ROOMY INSIDE ALSO. IVE HAD 6 FOOT 4 FREINDS IN THE CAR . THEY WERE SHOCKED .. LOL... I bought this car brand new in 2012. Paid 17k. Worth every penny. It has 63k miles onit right now. Have never done anything other than change the oil and filter. It runs like it is expected. Slow and easy. You won't win no races with it. But it gets my wife to work with no issues. { 5 miles} Rain or snow. We have taken it on several road trips. Including a couple 1000 plus mile trips. Running wide open the whole way. It has no problem. I am a big guy. Very un comfy in most cars. But this I fall right into it and am able to climb back out with ease. The interior is cloth. Its starting to fade. But still no tears or wear marks. Theres nothing fancy about this car. But my wife loves it.

I've had a 17 Ford Fiesta Se car since 2017. Bought it brand new off the lot. Got ripped a new one due to the price I paid, however it was worth it. She's got a bit over 200,000 miles and the only major problems were the timing belt was walking off, and the original belt snapped put of the blue once. Cars a/C is still perfect, lacks horsepower but a very economical and spunky car. Time for maintenance on the sus as of now, but I still love driving it. Bluetooth took a crap, and it still drives great. I live in the mountains so it's taken a beating, but she keeps going!

I bought my 2002 Ford Focus stationwagon 9 months ago with 180,000km for 1400 CAD. It has the 2.0 Zetec engine and the 5 speed manual transmission mated to it. Currently sitting at 215,000km and it is still running strong. Comfort-wise it's great. I made a 11 hour drive in one day and was not even sore, the amount of headroom, especially in the wagon, is great aswell. Interior design, is alright, it's quirky. Lots of curves, definetly shows its age but everything works great and is easy to operate. Performance wise, its alright. Definetly not a race car by any means, but it is fast enough. The value for money on one of these used is amazing - if you are somewhat mechanically inclined and can do basic repairs and maintenence. Exterior styling is good, its a very interesting looking car. Since I got it 35,000km ago heres what I've done for repairs: Valve cover gasket, motor mounts, hatch struts. I've done a ton of maintenence, all the reccomended stuff for this mileage, but those are the only things I've had to repair. It is currently leaking a bit of oil but on a 1400$ car it doesn't really bother me, doesnt even leak enough to get even halfway down the dipstick between oil changes. It hasn't ever left me stranded.

Best car I have ever had ,I bought it 9yrs ago not 1 problem till now and the brake system has gone crazy been trying to fix it for 8 months,replaced all parts still no brakes! I'm so broken hearted about it,I love this little car

I bought it new in 2009 and it is 2024 with 240k under the hood. The mechanic just told me the engine is in very good shape, I do oil changes regularly. No other mechanical issues that broke my wallet. The daily ride is sufficient in city, a bit underpower in highway after all these years. Good cargo spaces for everyday use, no complaints buying it.
