Used Honda CR-V SUVs for sale near Hometown, IL

The purpose of this note is to express my appreciation to Gerald Honda of Countryside for their accommodation to my wife and me in the purchase of our new 2025 Honda Pilot EX-L. We drove past Gerald Honda on La Grange Road and saw the demolished showroom, replaced with a tent and a small sign saying open during construction. After recent knee problems, walking around a dealership would be difficult to impossible. I called the sales phone number and explained my situation and requested a sales person to bring a Pilot EX-L to our residence for a look over and test drive. A few minutes later, I received a return call from Steve Browner asking more specifically the features I am looking for. In a short while, Steve arrived at our home with a car close to my description. We looked it over and both of us had an opportunity to drive it. We were interested in this car but it didn’t have a roof rack or a trailer hitch. Steve assured us that Gerald was capable to install both options. We completed the purchase negotiation with Steve over the phone that afternoon with the roof rack being installed for delivery at noon the next day. The trailer hitch needed to be ordered and it was installed within a week. Not an improvement over our 2011 CRV in any respect. The CVT sounds cheap, not an enough legroom, compass continual needs resetting and the stereo is marginal. Had to have a water pump replacement at 82,000 miles. No fun to drive and AWD isn’t the best.

We brought our 2010 Honda CRV into Community Honda late in the day on Thursday. The car was not holding a charge and needed to be jumped. We talked to Kamron Mikuta, who told us that they would look at it in the morning. He told us that he was off on Friday, but would come in anyway. He called me the next morning and let me know that the battery was dead and that they did a parasitic draw test, and the car was within specs. He said that we could come and pick it up and there would be no charge. Keep in mind that this man came in on his day off! He went above and beyond! Thank you Kamron Mikuta.

To many recalls.rear axle shaft boot ,fuel pump,magnet in steering for power steering. Padding in interior to thin, engine noise,inside.injectors replaced.cant get parts.might not buy a Honda ,next time.

I took my HRV for a recall, the person who helped me with it (David ) was very friendly and helpful, they provide ride back home , also back to they dealer to pick up my car, David provide me the best service in 3 times that I been there , David make sure my car was done on time .

I bought the 2020 CR-V new in July 2020 and as of December 2024, have 39K miles on it. I have taken it to the dealer for regular maintenance. It has been trouble-free and drives very well. If I have one complaint, it's the glitchy infotainment system. I have had to do a factory reset on the infotainment system twice. Otherwise, a wonderful vehicle.

Overall a good experience. Pleasant people to talk with and the buying process was really simple and stress free. My only complaint was that the vehicle wasn't cleaned even though I had made an appointment a few days in advance. Would reccomend Carmax H'burg to others.

Our vehicle now has 150,000 miles. Its performing great. Pretty good gas mileage and has had minimal service other than routine. It does have a rattle when first starting car. We had that fixed ($800) but now it's back. Dang. The one exterior design problem we face is the latch for the rear hatch. The location is poor. EVERYONE tries to open the hatch just under the window where there is a cut out and has pulled off trim and messed with the back up camera. I've noticed that has been fixed on newer models. It does not seem to do really well in the snow due to the weight distribution. Even with new tires. But its been super dependable and has been our people and dog moving car for 10 years and has really held up well.

My 2024 Honda CR-V is everything I expected and more. It has great pickup, quick stopping ability, U-turn small radius like I've never seen, and good on gas mileage.

Faris Ihmeidan and Earnest Norman were both amazing to work with. I worked with Faris mostly over the phone and he was easy to communicate with and very nice. When I came in to purchase the vehicle, I worked mostly with Earnest who was extremely nice and very knowledgeable. I would recommend these guys and Napleton River Oaks Honda to everyone.

My door handles some times don't work well is hard to open I buy this crv 2022 brand new after 4 months I have this problem

Bought this CRV AWD Touring new in 2019. Have 130,000 miles on it, no problems. Only time it’s at the dealership is for regular service. Gets 33 to 36 MPG . Excellent vehicle!

The 1st Honda I have ever purchased. The reliability, comfort, and technology are far superior to the other brands I have owned. Quiet with very little road noise, no wind noise, and can hear radio and phone calls easily.

Easy to handle, but could use a little more luxury. Impaired vision, five drivers side from window or car meets engine want heated seats to be an automatic option, _____cannot use Google Maps in this car. Could not use cell ph till I called Honda directly. What’s up?

My salesperson, Brian, was extremely helpful and patient. He answered all of my questions, and was experienced and knowledgeable. He provided me with all the time I needed. He continues to make himself available for any questions or concerns I may have now or in the future. He went the extra mile for me in locating a missing FOB from my vehicle. He actually called the previous owner and was able to have them bring it in to him, which he mailed to me. The car is outstanding, absolutely immaculate, runs, drives, and rides beautifully. Brian always returns my phone calls extremely timely. I would recommend this dealership and salesperson.

This is my third Honda vehicle so needless to point out that I am a fan of the brand. My 2019 CR-V Touring is a good SUV. Before purchasing it I researched comparable vehicles and in the end my final decision was the CR-V and I am happy with my purchase. We have driven it on vacations of over 2000 miles and not one back ache. The only improvement I can think of would be if it had a tilt steering wheel. Gas mileage varies and I generally get about 33mpg combining city and highway. On trips I got as high as 38mpg. All things considered it is a good vehicle if you need an SUV.

Nice vehicle. Started with an odd brake issue- upon reversing out of the garage, the brakes sounded "like a group of whales" - only in reverse, then cleared up [for the day] next morning, reverse same noise. Maintenance call 1) cleaned up rotors and sprayed 'anti-squeal' on pads =FAIL ::: next 2)maintenance, replaced the rotors [only] =so far, nice n quiet upon reverse. Took it to the car wash, brakes still quiet. TIP:: have odd noise issues= record the sound! Mechanics never heard that type of brake noise.

CRV has been a very good good vehicle. Engine has lots of power for its size category. Exterior and interior materials are very high quality, especially on the EX-L versions and higher. Car has required very little maintenance other than scheduled items. Rear visibility is better than many other SUVs. Cargo volume and rear seat legroom are more than ample. Gas mileage is pretty impressive as well. We liked the CRV so much, we bought a second one.

My 2016 Honda CRV Exl has a problem with the push button is not starting until about 3 or more pushes , after each push the lights in the dash comes on with a click sound, but no start up , until several pushes.

It's bad that some may have had problems with this CRV. I do believe it's rare when compared to other vehicle makers however. I've owned my share of lemons over the years. CRV has always been popular. Honda actually has addressed the few "fuel in oil issues" of northern winters, and the A/C compressor seal complaints by extending warranty time for both issues to all owners. I feel this CRV is the best in performance, cargo space, interior layout and quality, and modern safety features that others just didn't even offer in 2017. A price value like this won't ever be seen again.

So far my new SUV has ran fantastic! Tires are in great shape! Under 100k mileage!! Smooth comfortable ride! Clean, inside and out. I even invested in a Kenwood radio with backup screen, GPS, Bluetooth, and more. Love it even more now! Very happy with my purchase
