I work at a car dealership in VA. A customer traded in their 2011 Honda Pilot EX-L with a little over 185k miles on it. I bought it two weeks ago from our wholesale lot and it's been amazing. I can tell the previous owner kept really good care of it but also the comfortability of the vehicle and the reliability really caught my eye. I have another vehicle I drive but this deal I couldn't pass up. Best vehicle I've ever owned even with 186k on it. We bought this new in October of 2010, and have had it since, ever 100k have done the timing belt, never missed oil changes. Have some every recommended maintenance done, and she's now got 220k miles. Right about 200k mark the power steering pump started making noises, so changed it, was really easy to change. Then the alternator went out, which was harder to change, but did it. Can't complain 1 bit. My wife loves her pilot and says she's going to drive it until the doors fall off 😂. Been through few sets of brakes, few sets of tires, 3 rear sets of shocks, and few other wear and tear items. Interior has held up great, drivers seat has not torn (my wife is tiny) but you can see wear on it, but for 13-14 years of ownership, it can clean up really nice. Only thing is we got the pilot rust spot on the tailgate by the chrome trim, that was repaired once and has now came back.

The pilot is an amazing vehicle. My family has owned five. Do keep in mind every vehicle has flaws. For the 1st gen pilot, the biggest problems were the rear subframe channel. They tend to rot out throughout the winters. If you think about buying one, that would be the first thing to check. The VTM-4 system has never failed me in the harsh Wisconsin snow. Has gotten me wherever I wanted to go. The interior is not bad comparing it to new vehicles. The motor has good power, do keep in mind it does have a timing belt. Being a interference engine, remember to get that checked out often. On highway, my pilot gets 25 mpg with 230k miles, and I'll definitely take that!

What a pleasant experience. My first time financing a vehicle. When going to initially look at the vehicle, I discovered a few issues. Obviously no used car is going to be perfect, nor was I expecting it to be. They told me to come back the next day and the issues would be fixed. I came back and they did in fact fix the car. They are willing to and have went above and beyond.

I bought my 2014 Pilot Touring 4x4 used 4 years ago with 67k miles on her. We're at 150k now still going strong other than tires and routine maintenance no issues at all. She handles great on all terrain and in all weather, shes big enough to haul the family around town, move across the country in comfort or a weekend at the lake and you'd never know there was a trailer or a boat behind you. They did lose a star on the exterior for the paint peel on the roof above the windshield as others have mentioned.

My dad had a 2008 Honda Pilot EX-L with rear entertainment system. (RES/DVD PLAYER) It was the best in the we were on a road trip to Texas and 9 1/4 hours out of 10, we crashed but it was not our fault. Then a few days later it was totalled after we drove it back to Omaha. Best car in the world. Had it for 13 years.

The customer service was pretty good, and the prices were fair. They were willing to negotiate. If I wanted to view a car someone would escort me or at least point me in the right direction

I purchased my 2004 Honda Pilot brand new. I have 215,000+ miles on her now and the only thing I’ve ever had done is basic maintenance. The paint is starting to peel which makes me so angry with myself for not keeping the old girl in the garage all the time. Best car I’ve ever had. Won’t drive anything but a Honda for sure!

Best I ever owned. Bought in April of 2010, 1st 2011 to hit the dealership. Touring model with real 4wheel drive, a rear window that opens w/defrost and side windows that defrost, a 6 CD changer with a video for the rear seat folks. Factory installed trailer pckg. with wiring, transmission oil cooler, heavy duty battery and a full size spare tire. They don't make them like that anymore. Only Honda has ever put a wrench to that vehicle and 3500 mile interval on oil changes. (I'm old school) In Arizona we go thru batteries like changing socks. On the 3rd set of Michelins after 132000 miles. I'd buy another today if I could get the same setup and options.

We bought our 2011 Touring in 2019 with 37000 miles on it. We love it! It now has 91000 miles and runs like new! Of course with gas prices so high it would be nice if it got a bit better gas mileage. We average 18.5 mpg but the comfort and dependability outweigh the cost!

This SUV rides a lot like a truck so if you’re into that great. It has plenty of space and is quite comfortable. Don’t get the one with navigation is a waste in my opinion.

I have a specific set of needs as I use a power wheelchair to get around: 1. Must have fuel fill on driver’s side. 2. Must have a towing receiver for my wheelchair lift. 3. Must have rear glass that opens independently of the hatch. The Honda Pilot checked these boxes and many more. Drives nice, gets good gas mileage, is comfortable, seats 8. I haven’t had it long, but I’m already in love with it.

Purchased with 88K miles in 2014. It’s the most reliable vehicle I’ve owned. I still drive it daily and it’s running strong with 253K. Handles great and is pretty fun to drive. I’m 6’3” and find it very comfortable for my daily commute of 66 miles round trip. Gets about 17.5 mpg combined.

Great quiet comfortable road car. I commute between cities about 500 miles, and appreciate the performance, seat comfort, handling, quiet cabin, and decent mileage (about 32 at 70mph, about 29 at 80mph). Only hitch is the cabin controls being a reach from the drivers seat, and having to look over. Mine has a CD player which is great for books and music on the long drives.
