I have the Limited. This is my 6th Hyundai/Genesis car and they just keep getting better. The technology is fantastic and equals many features in luxury cars at twice the price. In June I took a 3450 mile trip, hit 14 states and a variety of traffic conditions and it just kept chugging along with no effort. Features like HDA help on the long days of 700 miles. Used less gas than my previous car too, 95 gallons on that trip.

For a smaller sedan, it's alright. The gas milage is decent enough, and when you switch into sport mode, it's actually got a fair amount of jump from the line. It's a nice and practical car for the money. It won't knock your socks off, but you won't regret it, either.

I have a 2017 Sonata SE that has been a very good, reliable vehicle. I spend alot of time on the road for my job and it had never given me any issues; very comfortable, gas mileage around 30+. As many others have said, the engine conked out at around 124,000 mi. The dealer replaced it with a new factory engine 2 mos ago. A week after I got it back, the accelerator something or other broke so I took it back and had to pay $500 to repair it. (they swore it was unrelated- I dont think so) Other than that, it has been a great car.

I was in need for a title as per the original one got lost in shipping, I called the business office and spoke to Bessie, I explained to her the situation and she said she will help me, but need more time to process it. Weeks later she called me to let me know that she got the title and she is sending it to me via FEDEX and gave me the tracking number, WOW thats a great service there. I drove 3500 dually diesels for 25-30 years and then went to a Honda ridgeline 2018 new, love it until I drove my wife’s new car and decided I needed a car. My best friend had a Hyundai and loved it so I did hours of reviews Hyundai vs many others. All factors considered I decided to test drive a few. All things considered the Hyundai won and a low mileage 2021 caught my eye and I got it. After apps 1000 miles I am so glad I got it. Pros and cons Honda (H) push button start Hyundai (hy) key start, H remote start hy no remote start, H good ride hy better ride, H noisy hy less noisy,H electric keypad with gloves on more user friendly for me, hy parking easier, hy cornering better, H acceleration a bit stronger but hy smoother, both get the job done, I am 74 yo so I understand knobology better than the slow digital control for heat radio etc.,hy wins there- breaks equal, dashboard info hy wins, seems to love Google maps tolerates Waze, I prefer Waze. Pros and cons about not locking keys in car - can’t dash out start it w/o leaving key in ignition,physically gettin and out of the vehicle is harder, in a nutshell the things that matter more to me the hy wins so far.The salesman, Lamar was exceptional, a young family man earning a living by hustling but not rushing! Remember Lamar at Southern Auto Group in Newport News VA. Oh and the warranty was winner!

He provides the carfax and lets me test drive the car and take it to a mechanic to see for myself, so you are comfortable with your decision. Had a 2015 Sonata for almost five years now. It's been trouble-free for the most part. There is some issue with paint flaking off the handles, but nothing to get in a tizzy over. It's not the most powerful car on the road. The acceleration is lacking. But it gets solid miles per gallon. It's also not the most fun car to drive, but it's a sensible family sedan. It is as advertised.

Hi All! I picked up my Sonata SEL w/ Convenience about 4 months ago and man is it pretty. I get compliments all the time. Anyhow, I have just under 2,000 miles on the odo. and figured it would be a good time to leave some first impressions and what it's been like to live with along with some good and not-so-good experiences I've had. First the GOOD: Like I said, it looks amazing. In my opinion, the best looking midsize sedan on the market and everyone seems to love the design. The refinement levels are amazing. Hyundai did an impeccable job quieting this sedan down from the previous version (I had a 2020 model prior). I notice a rather significant difference at highway speed and just cruising around town in overall noise levels. Super pleased here. The ride quality isn't as harsh as the previous version either. Overall, it feels softer over bumps and potholes barely make it through. Yet, handling is still great albeit maybe a bit less sharper around corners. I think this is a great sacrifice though. The prior gen. seemed to have a rather jarring ride in my opinion. In typical Hyundai fashion, the lane keeping/lane departure assist along with dynamic cruise control works flawlessly, so much better than both Honda and Toyota, and I've driven them all. Highway trips are an absolute breeze with the Sonata. Now, the NOT so good: The door handle sensor only works occasionally. Reaching behind the door handle with the key in my pocket should theoretically unlock the door, but it does so only about 50% of the time. I find myself reaching back and forth to and from behind the handle, and maybe on the 2nd or 3rd or 4th attempt, the door will unlock. Watching from afar, it probably looks idiotic like, is this dude afraid to touch his car, what's going on!? Odd. There's a rattle in the passenger door and is REALLY heard when playing music, even at low to moderate volume. I'll get this checked out when my 1st maintenance visit comes around. The Carplay screen is WAY too bright at night. Like, blinding bright. I can adjust it down to the lowest illumination level and it's still pretty bright, but it also dims the speedometer screen! Then, during daylight, it's far too dim, so I have to go in and turn it back up to max illumination. There's only one illumination level from what I can tell and it controls both the speedometer screen AND the infotainment screen. I wish there was a way to lower the brightness of the infotainment screen while keeping the speedo screen brighter along with greater variances between day and night levels. All in all, I'm extremely happy with the 2024 Sonata. I highly recommend it over Accord (lacking features, horrible road noise, pricy) and perhaps even the Camry, although the new 2025 version seems to be pretty killer.

I'm very happy with this vehicle. The car is still relatively new but so far I haven't had to take it back to the dealer yet. This is my second Sonata but this car is much better than my 2017. I don't think that you can beat the car at this price point. I'm happy with it.

I have had nothing but a GREAT experience, from buying the car to owning it! I went to Auto Land of Accident Maryland to look at vehicles. I had no idea whatsoever of what I wanted but I knew it was time for a new vehicle. Kerri and Chad helped me find my beautiful red Hyundai Sonata, and I fell in love immediately. Chad had me in and out fast and was such a huge help with everything! I have had it for 3 months now and nothing to complain about! It drives so smooth, the steering handles great! The gas mileage is unreal. My son and I went to Florida for a week, and as a girl who loves road trips we drove it to Florida from Maryland. Then we drove all of the way back. A 16 hour road trip, 985 miles one way and I was getting 43.7 mpg. I couldn’t believe it! That whole trip took a little over two full tanks! This car has been perfect for hauling things around in since it has so much room in the trunk and back seat. The seats are comfy so my son didn’t mind the long trip in fact he slept through a couple of states. This is my dream car! Thank you so much Autoland!

Paint W8 is blowing off roof and the hood Dealer told me it is a common problem with white paint . if it is a problem you should fix it not me this car has less then 40,000 miles and is garaged.

I’ve premium Auto version of 2014 Hyundai Sonata. Purchased in 2024 with very low Kms of about 65k but had an issue with starter motor when it came to 70k, other than that, it now runs lit. Been servicing on every 5-7k, it tops comfort & luxury & can challenge any modern car with similar features.

I dealt with Chett. He was very professional and no pushy, truly a pleasure to deal with which is quite unusual in the car buying process.

This car is an overall good car. I like the styling both inside and out. Has good safety features and decent convivences. Ride is comfortable and handling is good. I wish the steering week had more grip (smooth). The only other knock would be that it is not the quickest. Gets decent (29 mpg) but not great gas mileage for a 4 cylinder.

It saved my life I was in a bad car wreck a couple weeks ago in this car I hit a deer and drifted into a tree and flipped 5 times and the inside lit up to help me find my phone to call the police and my radio and steering wheel still worked to help call the police the inside was sturdy not one thing was crushed into the car definitely would recommend

I've owned a Sonata 2.0T Limited since 2011. Only major issue was metal shavings in the engine block. Hyundai installed a new engine and everything us been perfect for the next 47K miles. I'm also 6'5" and over 300Lbs but I'm always comfortable when driving or being a passenger in the front seat. I would buy another one but my wife wants something higher to stay above the traffic.

I want to thank my service advisor Matt Balliet for helping me when I took my car in on 1/23/2025. My blind spot alert was not working and I feared an expensive replacement of the sensor. Matt went to my car and showed me that I must have accidentally hit a button that turned off the sensor. I didn't even know that button existed. Matt assured me that I wasn't an idiot even though I felt like one. Matt has been my service advisor for a long time and he always comes through with courtesy and professionalism.

I bought the car off a used car lot. It had $54,000 miles on it. I drove it to Louisiana and back and realized it was a half a quart low on oil. Took it back to the dealership and they can't find out what's wrong with it. But other than that overall experience is great.
