We are in our 70's and wanted a car that had blind spot protection with great window visability, a good sized GPS map, keyless entry, and good fuel economy. Also, it has good space in trunk with fold down rear seats. At 51,000 miles we have had no issues.

Currently own a 2018 Santa Fe Sport base model and now has 115k miles on it. I have know major issues a d maintenance cost have been reasonable. I hope to get another 115k off it.

I have the Limited. This is my 6th Hyundai/Genesis car and they just keep getting better. The technology is fantastic and equals many features in luxury cars at twice the price. In June I took a 3450 mile trip, hit 14 states and a variety of traffic conditions and it just kept chugging along with no effort. Features like HDA help on the long days of 700 miles. Used less gas than my previous car too, 95 gallons on that trip.

I just got a 2022 Kona Limited after having a 2015 Golf for years. I like all safety features and comfort items. The steering wheel is stiffer than I am used to and think that is due to lane assist. I haven't figured out why the nav system doesn't talk, but it must be a setting issue. I used a Garmin unit for nav in past, but Kona's screen is much better. Some people say the space is small, but just fine for me. Overall, i like the Kona

I bought my 2019 Hyundai Tucson in 2021 from the Dealership as the second owner. It has not given me any issues. I get it serviced when required. It has never had any issues. I feel the interiors are comfortable. I love the butt warmers. I love the vibrant blue exterior. SUV has so much space. When I put my foot down it it definitely not my old 300CC Hemi Chrysler V6 engine but it eventually goes. It feels sporty and stylish. 26mpg on the freeway.

September 18, 2025 was the second time I scheduled an appointment with the Service Manager David Gray at Shively's. I rank David Gray at the top of Service Managers. First, he is kind and caring. His demeanor rings with kindness and heart. I noticed David treated each customer as if the customer were the only one getting service. His voice is cheerful and so genuine and he listens ti customers. Second, he is extremely professional and knowledgeable about the services Shively's offers and the service a customer wants and needs. Third, it is obvious that his technicians and office staff respect him. Fourth, when I left Shively's Service Department both times, I was confident that David Gray and his technicians had serviced my vehicles with the utmost expertise and care. I love my elantra. I haven't hardly had any problems with it at all. However I also experienced the paint chipping on my white hyundai. I was also told that it was a rock. Now reading others comments about their paint shipping I question it. I paid out of pocket because it wasn't worth going through insurance with deductible and everything. Other than that I have had absolutely no problem with my Hyundai. I also like the look of it on the outside. I thought about trading for a newer one but I also don't like the styles of the new ones. I wish they still made them like the 2016 exterior. I would love to have a newer one but I would like for it to look like the 2016 hyundai. The reason for that is you could look at the car and see it was a Hyundai elantra. Now I feel like the new launchers look like every other car on the road.

Ive owned an SEL Convenience from new. It has an incredible performance for a Hybrid. It has a quiet, has a fabulous tiptronic transmission (with paddle shifters) with an amazing sport mode. The thing is, that if you use too much right foot, your gas mileage goes down by about 10mpg ... but it does with any car, right ? If you drive smoothly and don't accelerate hard the gas mileage can go to over 40mpg ! At 55-65mph on level pavement, it gives great gas mileage .. but accelerating at traffic lights or going fast up gradients doesn't. Thats what happens with performance vs economy. This car is well built and has great space and grace. Those that criticize the gas mileage must be "pedal to the metal" people! The sound system and Apple/Android access is really good - better than many other car brands. The warranty is amazing and so is the service support network. I'm sad to be selling my SEL Convenience because I going abroad. I'll definitely get another one when i return.

I have a commute of about 80 miles a day to work and over the last month of ownership, I have been extremely impressed with the performance and frugal gas mileage. The other bells and whistles have just enhanced my driving experience!

I bought my Elantra new. Never had to take it in for mechanical problems just front end due to pot holes. The car gave me an average mileage of 5.3/100km. I finally traded up to a newer Elantra. My old car had 483000km, no warning lights or repairs to the engine or transmission. Keep up with your maintenance

Overall the Elantra is a great commuter car. It has been reliable. We consistently average 35 to 40 mpg with mostly highway driving. The seats are comfortable.

Elantra 2024 hybrid is a stylish, powerful, great on gas, and nice to drive on highway or around town. Seems durable so far, no issues.

Would recommend this car 100 percent to anyone looking for a mid-sized sedan. The only thing that could be changed is a little bit more headroom and I wish my car sat up higher similar to the way an SUV like a Tucson does.

This car saved my mom’s life. In a five-car accident, she was left spinning and hitting multiple cars. The car’s numerous airbags kept her in place, and the safety figures left her with minor bruises and scratches. The doctors said she’s lucky to be alive. I’ve had the car for two and a half years and only had to replace one part. One note: DO OIL CHANGES; it’s very important for the motor in this car. Loved this car.

I love my Elantra. It is a smooth ride and very good on gas. It is reliable and comfortably and definitely affordable. There is plenty of room in the front and back and the trunk is roomy too.

Bought the 2012 Veloster shortly after its introduction. It has all of the trim options available, though I never learned to use them. This car has had a lot of pesky recalls, but that is like a lot of vehicles. There have been NO problems for my car, except for an inexpensive part repair in the steering column at about 90K miles. I bought this car because of 1) the great m.p.g., 2) the sporty appearance, and 3) to more easily navigate city traffic. My only complaints are: 1) the seats are not well-padded nor provide lumbar support, but they hold you great when zipping around sharp curves in the mountains, 2) it sits so low to the ground (as sporty cars do), which make it difficult for a tall and older person to get in and out. Those who desire a lot of power would probably be disappointed.
