These things will run forever! Just do your normal maintainence.Honda ,Toyota are overrated and over priced. 24 mpg in 2.4 engine.It won't disappoint! Smooth highway ride One of the quietest engines out there. Hyundai covered all recalls without a problem.

My family and I were looking for a used car for my daughter, who was purchasing the vehicle all on her own! We found a car listed online at Wayland Automotive and came to check it out. We ended up purchasing from Rick, Elias, and Jeff, and couldn't be happier! the 2012 Hyundai Sonata is a smooth comfortable car with a potential flaw that Hyundai has, in my opinion, addressed adequately. First the Pros: It is stylish in both the interior as well as exterior design. It is comfortable, even for me at 6'3" and is not tiring for extended periods on the highway. The fuel economy is good averaging for me about 32 MPG with mostly highway driving. The engine has reasonable power when needed and is generally smooth. The cons are that the 4-cylinder Theta-II engine that the Sonata Uses, (as well as the Santa Fe and Kia Optima and Sorento) has a known flaw that causes the #4 cylinder connecting rod bearing to wear out prematurely causing engine failure. Hyundai has recently extended the Engine Warranty to a lifetime warranty on these engines and that includes if you bought the car used. I think this is a reasonable response. My Sonata suffered this exact failure 5 months ago at 164,000 miles and the engine was replaced with no pushback. The car carried an original 100K mile warranty which is still considered industry leading so, legally, any car over 100K miles Hyundai and Kia could have stuck to their original warranty agreement and taken no action. But that is not what they are doing. One of the reasons I gave Korean cars a try several years ago was the lack of response I got on a Japanese brand known for their high quality that also had a known failure point but took no action after the warranty expired. Because of Hyundai's ultimate response I still highly recommend the car. if you have a higher mileage Sonata, my advice would be sure you have some sort of roadside assistance, so in case you experience this same failure, you will not be left stranded. The good news is that in the rare instance you experience this issue, you should receive a new engine.

We have the Sport Limited Turbo 2.0 in white. Power is good. But, sometimes it seems like the turbo isn't boosting as you're getting on the throttle. Stock tires are noisy, so we put some quiet Michelins on and it helps a lot. Interior-wise, the Nav panel and controls is really something to be desired. It just plains stinks. I'd love to have the newer radio/Nav display that the KIA's have. Trunk is very spacious and leather seats are comfortable. Overall, it's great for long trips (33 mpg on the interstate driving 77mph) and it's a nice looking car. Not as cool as our son's 2022 KIA K5 GT-line, though!

I’ve premium Auto version of 2014 Hyundai Sonata. Purchased in 2024 with very low Kms of about 65k but had an issue with starter motor when it came to 70k, other than that, it now runs lit. Been servicing on every 5-7k, it tops comfort & luxury & can challenge any modern car with similar features.

Got back to me right away. Good and friendly people.. would be nice to work with them again.

The only problems I've had with my 2012 Hyundai Elantra touring, has been the recalls. It's very comfortable and very economical and I love the way it looks. I get a lot of compliments on my Elantra touring.

2008 4CYL SONATA195K MILES ON IT TODAY - BOUGHT IN 2015 FOR 8K /73K MILES NO ISSUES UNTIL THIS YEAR -AC COMPRESSOR-NOT BAD FOR A 700$ REPAIR 17 YRS LATER ! THE PAINT JOB LEAVES A LITTLE BIT TO DESIRED-SLOWLY REMOVING ITSELF EACH YEAR. DRIVE 1000MILES PER MOTH LOVE LOVE THIS 2008 MODEL -I WOULD BUY THE SONATAS FROM 2008-2010 AFTER THIS. GREAT RIDE.

The car ran great for around 170k miles, then the engine had some issues, but got those sorted and its good. Comfortable, fast and looks good.

I had a 2009 Hyundai Accent hatchback . I loved it . Yes I bought it used . In Ontario Canada in June we had a terrible storm come through and A tree was up rooted and fell on my car . I had $ 183.134 km on it . I cried my car was in mint condition.no rust it looked new . Even the insurance company said it was was in really great shape. Sure I had to replace a few parts .I sure did miss my baby .I’m looking for another car just like this one put having a hard time finding one in great shape

2011 4.6 v8. Bought used 5 years ago with 80k. Now has 111k. Regular maintenance, replacement alternator and battery. That’s it. Got tired of unreliable, super expensive repairs with bmw and Mercedes’. Car is 90% driving feel of my 540i and 400 e. Without the headache of finding a shop that can fix it. Put magma flows on it. Sounds great and it is really quick for a boat. Make sure the abs module was done under recall? And change the transmission fluid! Hemi chargers chew on the rear view mirrors of this thing!
