The 2005 Jaguar XJR is an outstanding Sports Sedan.
The 2005 Jaguar XJR is an outstanding Sports Sedan. In ‘05 the XJR competed with and exceeded the Mercedes S Class and the BMW 7 Series in performance. With 390 HP the XJR is extremely fast and handles well. The Leather/Walnut Burl Interior is rich and elegant. The ‘05 XJR is very reliable and does not have any of the service problems or quirks that have plagued older Jaguars. To top things off, used Jaguars are very affordable. The XJR is a super car wrapped in a Classic British Body Style. I highly recommend.

Great experience! They listened to what I was looking for, and helped me to get it! The test drive was perfect, we must have driven it for 30 minutes for me to make sure it was what I liked. Easy transaction after I decided to pull the trigger. Trade in was easy, and was never "pushed" into buying anything. I think we were all done in a matter of 3 hours, which I've never had that experience at a car dealership!!
2002 Jaguar XJR Sedan review
The best car for the money you can ever buy
I have been a Jaguar fanatic forever. I have several Jaguars, including an onyx white/champaign 2002 XJR. I now have 57,000 miles on her. This cat has everything to offer, power, luxury and an affordable price tag. One thing I LOVE about this car, is that when most people look at her, they see a beautiful big car. Almost everyone sees the XJR as the XJ8. Big, heavy, and not THAT fast. But when you put her in sport mode, and put the pedal down, she will leave ALOT of cars on the road today. Its fun to see the expressions on peoples faces as you blast away from them in a car that is twice the weight of their car! Not only do they have a great amount of power for such a car, but it comes with style, class, and elagance. Nothing speaks elagance like a Jaguar. The ride is stiffer than the standard XJ8, but its still ALOT better than most cars out there. One thing that suprised me about this car is the handling. You would not expect a car of this size to be able to handle a really tight curve almost as well as my miata, but she does!(not as good as my miata, but she really truly handles well). Jaguars have a bad reputation for their electronics, and reliability. This is not the case in these cars. If you maintain them as reccomended by Jaguar, they will last a lifetime. Its not that common for something to fault, but if it does, fix it right away! Dont be lazy. Rust is another thing that Jaguar has a bad reputation for. These cars do not rust like they used to. They do have one trouble spot that I know of, and thats in the corners of the rear window. If you drive it in the rain, dry off that rust spot, to try to prevent it. The rest of the car should never get rust. When you buy a Jaguar, you basicaly are joining a club. Other jaguar owners will park next to you, because they know that Jaguar owners care for their car, so they dont have to worry about door dingeys, if they see your keys, they will start a conversation with you, they will smile at you, wave, it's an awesome experience, and I reccomend it 100%. Cared for, they last
Bought from dealership owner at 2,220 miles. It’s at 350,000 4/22. Love this car. Always best of required care. 26 mpg at 80 mph. Issues today. Oil issues and tech issues. Might be at a crossroad. May will tell. 400,000 not a goal but 2024 is. Use is 6-7,000/yr. We’ll see.

a bit of advice
This is a wonderful automobile beats anything from the competition in terms of style and performance. I cant say enough good things about this car. A word of advice is hang on!! very powerful and very easy to spin tires. Ofcourse because it is the highest performance model jaguar makes expect high part costs which is part of owning a jag yes but the nicest jag made too. This is a performance car for the enthusiast who can afford it not a kids car. Go into it knowing what you are getting dont act so surprised after all it is an XJR
