Bought one for my son for college. Had 108K, now as 190K. Can't complaint. Safe, reliable and very comfortable. Did have to replace the oil cooler assembly, but that's a given on a 3.6. Other than that, tires, brake pads, the usual. It's been a winner.

Now in my 6th year with my 2017 and still like it. My complaints are simple. Needs larger fuel tank, better gas mileage considering its size and engine, would prefer manual transmission, and get rid of the xxxx engine shut off function. Love the size, comfortable, still seems solid. My only repair was replacement of the satnav unit that crapped out.

Easy, easy deal. I drove about 130 miles to look at the car. No BS deposit requests. No pressure. Title/registration fees were are fair. Price was fair. The car wasn’t misrepresented. They were quick with the buying process. Just an easy, easy group of guys.

I am a senior who finally had to trade my sportier Chrysler product for something more accessible. The only suitable car the dealer had available was the Compass. Mine is the High Altitude model with the 2.4L engine and the 6 speed auto. I expected a little better performance from it, but it is acceptable, Even with the 6 speed trans it is sluggish, but the auto-stick feature ameliorates this somewhat if you choose to manually shift it. It still isn't a race car but it will give acceptable take off without waiting all day to get to the next traffic light. The ride is comfortable, and handling is tame. As noted this is not a sports car but it is a good daily driver. Interior appointments are well thought out with lots of available storage space. My biggest disappointment is the instrument cluster. It looks like it came out of an early 70's car, except that the speedo and tach have terribly small numbering. I expect I will rely more on my GPS for speed indication. I was really disappointed with the lack of a trip computer, and tire pressure sensors. These have been mostly standard in Chrysler products for over a decade! Front passenger comfort is good with plenty of leg and headroom, with well cushioned , nicely trimmed (and heated!) seats with a powered driver's seat. The center console is two compartmented with a deep bucket, and a handy document compartment in the lid. The console space is necessary, with the glove box basically sized for a pair of gloves, and maybe a pair of glasses. There are also fairly spacious door pockets, and a dash tray. Another disappointment was the lack of a USB charging station, and only one 12 volt outlet. There is a 150 watt, 120 volt AC outlet, perhaps to plug in a USB charger? While rear storage is not on par with other vehicles in its class, it is certainly adequate for my needs, Especially if the rear seats are folded down, and I often carry quite a load of sporting and outdoor equipment, as well as a walker. The entertaiment center has good sound, with AM, FM, CD and Satellite, as well as an aux jack for external devices, and I love the Uconnect which feeds my phone through the sound sound system. I have not commented on the rear seats because I haven't used them, and likely will not, nor do I often have passengers, I will most likely keep the rear seats folded down. In spite of my disappointments, I have to rate this car with 4 Stars. It will more than adequately meet my needs, if not all of my expectations. The Compass was the least expensive SUV in its class in 2016, so who would expect it to have all of the features of its more expensive brethren, or even stable mates? At this point, I am satisfied with my purchase. No it is not best in its class, but it is a nice, comfortable, even attractive daily driver!

Was at dealership shopping and this new Jeep Cherokee Lattitude came in on transport. Wanted it the minute I saw it. Jeep dealership had ordered it custom with every option I wanted. Blackout package, V6 a true dual exhaust, sport, power everthing, 4x4 etc. The 4x4 is excellent and never failed me! Its been flawless, aftermarket tuning has turned it into a screaming black speed machine. 112,000 miles so far. No issues with anything! Would buy another if they still made this Cherokee Latitude Special! One very satisfied customer!!!

I’ve had my jeep commander for five years now I would highly recommend it to a single mom or dad. I have four grandchildren and we fit comfortably with all our belongings for day trips. We do some light mountain, climbing, as well as rugged, terrain driving we live in Oregon, so there’s a lot of off road off pavement Driving we also have our canines and that they enjoy it to lots of room. Lots of space seats can go up and down in the back. I also use a cargo carrier in the back for her extra luggage and so forth this vehicle has had me very spoiled, and my next vehicle will be the same .

My sister in-law gave me this car in 2021 for free because she got a new car. I have no idea how it was maintained before owning it myself. It had around 150k miles on it. I have driven it everyday since and it now has 200k miles. It has a significant amount of rust, so much so that part of the kick plate under the backseat passenger door fell off. I've had to replace brake pads, spark plugs, disc rotor, A/C compressor, muffler, water pump, tie rod, ball joint, thermostat, brake hose, calipers. Check engine light was on for O2 sensor, I had them both replaced and the check engine light is still on for the O2 sensor so it might be a loose wire. I've spent around $4,000 fixing it up in the last 3 years, being a used car and the okay condition it is now I would say it is reliable. I love it, I want to continue maintaining it until it dies.

I've had this car for 12 years. It still only has 64k miles. Think little old lady. One expensive repair in all that time is pretty good for as old as it is. The sensor lights stay on all the time, but the car sill runs like a top. I would buy another Jeep if they still made them to look like a Jeep again.

I have the Limited model 4X2 which is otherwise loaded with options and bought from my brother who’s daughter had since new and currently has 119,000 miles. After detailing the vehicle which didn’t take as much time as I normally would on a 8 year old car to bring it to my cosmetic standards, I realized that this vehicle’s exterior paint quality is impressive for being Black in color as well as other styling components being well made. I admired the vehicle after I put 8 solid hours into it and said to myself “What a kick “Butt” looking Jeep” - I have the Limited model (loaded otherwise) and bought from my brother who’s daughter had since new, currently has 119,000 miles. After detailing the vehicle which didn’t take as much time as I normally would on a 8 year old car to bring it to my cosmetic standards, I realized that this vehicle’s exterior paint quality is impressive for being Black in color. Yes you need to push the gas pedal a bit more just to get it moving from a stand still in a parking lot as an example, but come on, it’s 5,000 pounds and all muscle. Fuel mileage is HORRIBLE and worse then my 2015 E Class Mercedes V6 which shocked me. When I first took it out on the road, I could immediately feel the the solid all around quality of the suspension. I really like the thick leather wrapped steering wheel. The “Infinity” entertainment system along with the Touch Screen is an all around great system and very responsive with no lag when using the touch screen. The sound quality is incredible and the factory Sub Wofer mounted in the rear gives you the sense of being in a dance club. I do my own general maintenance and this Jeep is real easy to work on. I’ve read that the Transmission can go out around 100,000 miles but my brother has done regular service 2X previously and I just did it when I took possession at 119,000 miles. The leather seats are poor quality but I use Maguire's products to keep the seat surfaces from abnormal cracking and so far they are holding up. The dash has a small screen to scroll through different parts of the vehicle’s status like tire pressure on all wheels, etc.. The designers/engineers spent a lot of time on building a solid vehicle. It’s not a Toyota and you have to expect a higher repair rate, but if you keep on top of important general & regular maintenance, you will have a higher rate of reliability. I went in and out of all the cars I bought though out my life this was in every good shape low mileage on it find every thing in great shape and I brought the suv in to pepboys I had very good ties on it but I like a different type and when I went in the guy told me he got his car from there and he was happy with his and he had it for a year os far no problem with his I would definitely tell others about this guy's I'm not one to write on this I brought the truck it mine ant that it but for a good truck or car going and talk with them I believe you will come out with something good

I ordered the 2002 Jeep Liberty KJ Limited from Jeep in Aug. of 01 after test driving a sport 01 model at the dealer with the wife. We loved it from the start. The Liberty felt higher quality to us over the Cherokee we traded that was a 92 year model and the brakes were certainly worlds better than the Cherokee. The KJ was also a lot less noise inside and seemed of a higher quality build to us. We took delivery of our 02 in Oct of 2001 and have had it ever since. 22 years later we still love it and I do not see us getting rid ot it anytime soon when it has been a flawless rig. Just a couple recalls promptly repaired at the dealer is all we had to deal with really. Regular oil changes, flushing of the fluids at the suggested intervals, and only a couple of the windows falling down into the door immediately after buying it which were covered under warranty that first week I've read all the negative reviews of this rig and this year model. It has not been our experience at all to have issues other than regular expected things like stated. Off road it is surprisingly good. So, the only real surprise is that the Jeep KJ likes as much gas as my V8 vehicles did. However with that said I personally feel that anyone buying a Jeep that is concerned with MPG is looking at the wrong vehicle to begin with. What we got in return is a vehicle that will flat out zip around town and turns, stops and parks on a dime! Don't kid yourself. The KJ can impress even on a goat trail. On the beach when other 'Real Jeeps' got stuck we drove circles around them and pulled out. The only draw back is the wheels can lift up off the ground twisting it over big rocks for rock crawling but that is the sacrifice you make with independent front ends. What you don't get is a death wobble so drive it and be happy about it. We do!

Seems to be a good deal and the mileage is good looking forward to test driving the Jeep the overall car is excellent by far

I only have this not quite a month now and it is a nice jeep, I think a bit of a gas guzzler somewhat but overall so far i'm very happy, its a used car with low miles so i'm not expecting perfection ... we will see but so far i like the look i've done some things to improve its look as well and overall 3.5 stars i guess is best to say. Brought with 76k miles.
