I’ve purchased new my 2013 Kia Optima back in May 2013. It’s been a fantastic car. I haven’t driven it a great deal & have just 20,463 miles on it as of July 2025. It’s stylish & very comfortable. I still enjoy having & driving it.

They called promptly and gave me information about the car but unfortunately this car wasn't eligible for a tax credit.

Love this car! Have 45,000 miles on vehicle and have only done brakes and tires… Super happy with the way it looks and responds. Most reliable car I have owned. Would happily go to another Kia after this one!

This car now has almost 170k miles.other than normal wear and tear and some recalls the car has been excellent. The real subject here is KIA . They have been a real stand up company. In my opinion KIA has had my back. KIA will be my next purchase

Very happy with this vehicle all the way around. Rides nice very comfortable for long distance not bad to travel in. Plenty of pick up also pushing Sport button the vehicle speeds acceleration is quite good.

I originally bought my Optima for Ubering. It did it's job well and has great MPG. For being a base model, it's fairly equipped with a touch screen and bluetooth connection. The engine was reliable and and well-equipped for what I needed it for. Nothing besides regular maintenance was ever required.

Communicated with John Leno from the Schaumburg facility online. John understood my needs and responded quickly with Jeeps to review - after a bit of humming and hawing on my part, I changed my mind to trucks. I found a truck at another facility, John had it tranferred and within 2 days my soon to be truck arrived - and it is a beauty. John was training Matt and they both demonstrated immense knowledge throughout the interaction and I appreciated the ease of communication (not pushy). I cannot comment on the financing portion of the transaction, but closing went just as smoothly with Hubert and his supervisor. WHile impressed with my transaction I was also impressed with the amount of time that was placed on the training of new employees, or employees transferring. While yes my truck need a repair on the fog lights, it is covered under their warranty, I am highly impressed with my experience. From walking in the front door, to having John take my picture of me and my truck with a giant yellow ribbon... every individual at Carmax truly made the buying and trading experience a wonderful experience. I love my optima but sunroof guide is broken little part is coming out and hitting my grandson head now I can use I put black tape because is not close right I go to the dealer and he said I need to fixed asap also associated from there love my car is so clean please I need help is my family car also I take my wife for doctors appointment she have stage 3 leaver

OK, for starters this has to be world’s most misleading and diminutive review ever printed because it is simply about test driving the specified car right out of and back to the selling dealership in Rochester, Minnesota, USA. Yeah, that’s right my friends and foes, I test drove this car a few hours ago with my wife on the passenger seat up and down US Highway 52 North, inner-city driving, and all the while fooling around with buttons and controls I practically knew nothing about. That was a rush, especially when several State Patrol officers were carefully watching my somewhat erratic “maneuvers” but thankfully they let us go unimpeded. So, what about this car’s appearance, performance, comfort, price / quality ratio and the like? Who cares, right! Let me simply state that during both occasions (interspersed an hour while testing a second and a third vehicle (02 Forte FE / LX models) everything was nearly perfect except when I was fast reducing speed to exit the road but suddenly accelerated to match traffic and I felt a bump from the engine as if it did not know exactly what to do, either coast some more or speed up. This happened very fast; I then tried to replicate the same conditions somewhat to maybe better diagnose the problem but it never reoccurred. Simply put the car’s overall feel is outstanding, with abundant and notable (i.e. very useful) equipment and features galore. I am the world’s greatest copycat artist, designer, and undeclared-non-long-bearded-revolutionary-of-sorts so this particular car fits my wits beyond perfect and with unreal finesse. You want to know what else could be considered a quirk, a nuisance, and / or an undesirable trait within this ride? Well, keep asking, see if that brain finally stretches somewhat; but truthfully I have no answers for any of you. I believe there aren’t any to that idyllic question. Getting the car on the real road world in a couple days after arranging finance; my wife (who inspiringly made the decision to buy it) is also going to enjoy this little, friendly beast. They routinely say the world is filling with idiots fast; luckily, my pitiful understanding of society’s moronic situation and perceived woes should also help in this murky area: And why not, the more idiots out there, the greater chances to step up in this barren world of ours and beyond… It’s a dichotomy worth living ad infinitum, if we may.

Yesterday I purchased a car by phone for the first time. As a senior citizen I sold my car on the 9th of March thinking I would get totally travel by taxi or Uber or Lyft but I under estimated the value of getting up and going when you like. The team at CarMax from beginning to directions to the highway were the very best. Each and every member made me feel valued as a customer. 164,000 miles no issues. Car services me well. The oil usage is slight. I would get another, but KIA doesn't make them anymore. My commute is about 1 hr one way.

There's pro and cons with this car. I love the fact that this car is very good of mileages save so much fuel , I lived in San Antonio and we drove this car with full tank to Corpus Christi its about 2 hours and half, almost 145 miles away, then we came back still have half full of a tank. My deslike about the car is the front passenger set, its kinda very low and there's no other way of adjusting it. ( Blind spot)When changing lane specially to your rare left side ,you literally turning your head making sure there's no other vehicle. Other than that??The car is good to drive.

Only reason why I gave facilities a lower score is because they were going through a lot of construction and we were in a temporary location. But they went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable.

Comfortable, great styling, reliable, fantastic gas mileage, has plenty of trunk room. I have taken this car on long trips and a lot of daily short hauls and it fits my needs perfectly.
