I've had my 2021 kia rio hatchback since October '21. It is a solid reliable subcompact. It performs fine, and has enough power for its size. Wireless connectivity is a plus. Nice sound system. My only disappointment is no telescoping steering wheel (I'm tall) but you adjust, Very happy with this car!

Salesman was good, knew the vehicles, differences between models and years, price range and buyers budget.

2021 Rio Hatchback- I am quite happy with this car. Handles fine, great fuel milage, plenty of power for it's size (and I love its size) Wish it had a telescopic steering wheel, but you adjust. Apple CarPlay and 8" touchscreen is great.

Bought the 2023 Kia Rio in April 2023 new, so have been driving it about 10 months now. Overall I like it a lot, it drives smoothly, has nice features (rear view camera, push button start, alloy wheels, LED lights, forward collision warning tech., etc.) and great gas mileage for an all gas car. I've taken one road trip in this and gas mileage on the freeways was over 50mpg! On a day to day basis, I average over 40mpg in the city. Only thing I can complain about is Kia has decided to discontinue the Rio for 2024 and beyond. I'm lucky to have gotten one of the last ones! Too bad most Americans continue to be programmed by marketing and media to drive big, fat gas guzzling trucks and SUVs. Ridiculous. I will continue to drive my small, fuel efficient, hatchback and shake my head at all the people in their gas guzzlers around me.

I rolled my 2002 P T Curser and needed to get another car so I wanted to get a Kia Ive never heard of a Reo nor had i ever seen one. The car lot pulled out the Reo and after i drove it I fell in love with it so far it runs great no problems good gas milage. I have only had the car for a month tho so time will tell.

This is my 3rd car that I've purchased at Jim Glover Chevrolet. The customer service is great, friendly and helpful. I went to get my brakes replece, but Andy said my brakes are okay. Fuel economy on the Kia Rio is better than sticker. The only real negative to the Kia Rio that I have experienced so far in the 10,000 miles I have driven is the lane follow assist and Lane keep assist do not work worth a hill of beans. They are pointless and should not have even been put on the vehicle until they were done correctly. I have another vehicle that is a Hyundai that outperforms my Kia Rio 100 to 1. I cannot say enough positive things about my Hyundai and enough negative things and how disappointed I am with my Rio in the sense of the lane follow assist should be keeping you centered in your lane and it does not. You're lucky if it doesn't drive you clear off the road. Unfortunately my Kia dealer said that there is nothing they can do about that oh well. I told them well that's the reason I purchased it because I assume that it worked as well as my Hyundai does but it does not. The biggest redeeming quality about this vehicle is the Comfort overall for an economy vehicle and the mpg is above sticker meaning I get on average about 44 to 48 miles per gallon depending on the day and the speed I'm traveling on the highway.

I have have had three cars with KIA. Purchased one but leased two, next year I'll lease my last car only because retirement in around the corner. Between George Okoth as my go to as my finance and sales to Henry Blanco as my service specialist I'm set!!!

Car brand new and gets 39 mpg average. Good acceleration and has a sport mode that effects mpg when in use. Infotainment connects great to my Apple devices. Kia has created a value car that is loaded with high end vehicle specs. Overall this is the best vehicle on Kia’s growing and evolving roster.

We brought our Honda Ridgeline in for a tire rotation. When moving our truck, the dealer accidentally scraped the side of our truck against a wall. Customer service immediately told us about the problem and apologized. Without any negotiating or arguing, they had the truck repaired by a local body shop. They provided us with a rental car during the repairs. When they returned the car to us, it had been completely detailed. It looked better than the day we drove it off the lot. During the entire process, they were always available to answer any questions we posed.

I get my truck serviced here for everything. The biggest and ONLY downside is when I needed a exhaust manifold and none in stock. (Chrysler problem NOT a Shelor problem) Shelor worked over the manifold and got me back on the road though. 1 year later I am getting ready to get that manifold replaced and Shelor has the part in stock and holding it for me.

The car is easy to drive with very little blind spots and is great value for the money, perfect for first time car buyers and first time drivers.

Fred Anderson Toyota and its associates have always been respectful and polite. My services and scheduled maintenance have always gone smoothly as long as I plan a little ahead as far as transportation because the queue can get pretty long sometimes. Tyrone and his trainee Nora were kind and understanding when I had a nail in my tire at only 25 miles. Handled me and my car with care and got me out in a reasonable amount of time. From the moment I stepped in to trade my car for a Kia to this date, I am extremely happy with their service. Always professional and the communication is superb. I have always received great service from sales and service. I would not go anywhere else to by a vehicle. I was so happy that I brought my brother in and he did his trade at Kia and he is also super happy.

We have been driving our Rio for just over one year. It's not a luxury car, but we didn't want to spend a larger amount. Our most pleasant surprise is the gas mileage: it has consistently been between 42 and 45 MPG. We do live in the country, so we drive about 15 miles each way to town on a country highway that has a speed limit of 55. We did have an intermittent, annoying electrical problem, but our dealership was able to resolve the problem by the next morning. All-in-all we are very pleased with the performance and comfort, and the acceleration is quite satisfactory.

Sadly, this review won't be worth a hill of beans, as Kia has decided to no longer offer/make it in the USA. I wanted to replace an older (electric!) subcompact car with a new, full-warranty automobile that cost less than US$20k. The Rio checked all those boxes. Surprisingly, it's got some very nice features, like Apple CarPlay. My "S" model has 60/40 fold-down rear seats, keyless entry and a center console. For a small, 4-cylinder engine, the 1.6L, 120hp gets the job done. I use it for town driving, but I feel it would be comfortable on the road as well. And with 38mpg average, a 400 mile trip on one tank isn't out of the question. The back seat is large enough for my two grandchildren, and the front seats give me ample legroom and comfort. If this is what a "plain" daily driver goes for these days, I'd buy it again!

I bought the S trim without the tech package. Upsides This car is a terrific value. Lots of car and features for the money. Nice styling, good cabin layout, nice looking and comfortable seats. Trunk pass-through to the rear seats is nice. For me, it offers confidence, because of very high safety rating, great handling, sufficient excelleration (peppy on the takeoff, good passing dynamics, although you arent't going to win any drag races), great breaking, tight turn ratio, and a smooth, comfortable, and quiet ride for such a small car. As it is for my wife, I have no worries when she is on the road. Also great gas mileage. We're getting above the rated number -- 38 mpg in just city driving. She doesn't drive on the freeway if she can help it, so we won't know that number until we take a trip.. Downsides: Lousy back seat space. Although we rarely have passengers, it is a bit tight back there. (I guess I'm spoile by our Versa, which has gobs of back seat room). I haven't driven it with a load of people in there, and I suspect the pep and ride will be adversely affected. I mean, it's only a 1.6 litre 4-banger with 120 horses. What can you expect? dash and door material kinda plasticky, but it's an entry level car, so that's to be exppected. Also, the tech features have a bit of a learning curve -- we're boomers, so we have the usual boomer problems, although we're not totally tech-stupid. All in all, a great buy.

Only problem , it started rusting second yr on trunk window area and trunk opening . Never have had that happen before . Never had a car ever do this

I fell in love with the unique exterior look and then was surprised at the spacious comfortable interior that had the elegant dash with every update I needed. Love the roomy hatchback feature, and the power and pickup is excellent and easy to drive.

I drive this car for work 80 miles everyday. Currently at 68k miles. Absolutely no major mechanical issues. The little engine has a surprising amount of power, mated to its smooth shifting 6 speed automatic. I’m 6’1” and still fit “comfortably” inside. I did add a center console with armrest for more storage and comfort. My only complaints: -Door panels are hard plastic, not comfortable to rest your elbow. -Not much sound deadening in the car. A good set of tires is a must for a quiet ride. You hear everything. Overall this is an excellent commuter, spare car, or first car. Very reliable with great styling.
