Under the radar vehicle. 355 HP So power is plenty strong. Feels solid and safe and a bargain compared to RR Sport. Not everyone wants a Defender with big tire on the rear. This Discovery is a great SUV with capabilities galore.

The problem people are having with their rover is not the actual mechanical issue as it is the personnel assigned to repair. Let’s face it things happen;it’s up to the technicians to repair the issues, these sorry technicians is the problem.

I enjoy driving this car. It has all the safety features I was looking for, and I appreciate the camera rear view mirror, along with the parking camera assist. I lived in rural Zambia for 4 years and owned a 1995 Defender 110 TDI. Mostly drove on game paths through the bush to remote villages (we were missionaries). Always got us to our destination and home again through the most difficult terrain. Rough ride is a relative term in rural Africa. Dependability is everything there.

i will never ever sell my car. even though i have strangers making offers,putting pleas to sell it on my windshield. i tell them i will sell when i am too decrepid to climb up on the runningboard [iam afit 57 yr. old.] the mpg is terrible,as is themaintenace cost ,but ive actually had zero mechanical problems in 12 yrs. i leave the top off april-oct, so i have some interior elec. problems-no radio,no trip milage ,and my odometer functions, but is only visable occasionly,so going thru the inspection lane has to be timed accordingly, just one more adventure for a rover lover!
