Bought this 2018 in July with only 1,500 miles. Was able to add Apple CarPlay to complete the package. I’m very happy with it so far, but I haven’t taken it for an extended drive. It still only has 2,200 miles on it so far. I’m planning a little road-trip next month. We will see how it handles. So far so good.

I am a long-time LS owner, also have an ‘02 LS430. We bought this car L/Certified when it was 24 months old. Main things I like : Styling Exclusivity Interior Design Fit & Finish Comfort Performance We only have one dislike: runflat tires don’t give near the mileage as normal tires. That’s easy to fix, just switch to regular tires when the time comes. This is a gorgeous car and a pleasure to drive. It’s an incredible long distance cruiser. Our car has AWD, luxury interior upgrade w/ Mark Levinson sound system, optional wood and leather steering wheel, massaging driver’s seat, and 20” wheels. Some are critical of the touch pad controller, but we have no problem with it. Great car! The only thing I miss is wireless phone connection.

The LS 500 is solidly and well-built. Has a lot power from twin turbos. Got it with less than 30k. Drive it almost exclusively on long trips. Driving it on the freeway consistently at 15k rpm at 70mph plus, I get 28mpg!! Sound system is fantastic. Body styling is a head turner. Had a choice of MBZ500 and tried it. Just wasn't impressed. Research showed they made only 8700 or so LS500 units in 2018.

This car was an update from my previous Lexus LS 460 which was 7 years old and had no problems. This new car promised better mileage more safety and if as dependable as the previous car should provide many years of motoring pleasure. This is our 3rd LS and it is the best so far. The performance is exceptional for a Luxury Car. It offers a lot of technology, but it is not overwhelming or intrusive. I read some reviews about the touchpad interface. While it takes a little practice, I don't see what the fuss is all about. Most of the settings are "set it and forget it". Plus, very common settings are available through a redundant set of buttons, or you can use Voice Commands. I'm 64 years old, and it is not intimidating or difficult to master. The ride is smooth and quiet in normal or comfort, and the Sport and Sport + give you noticeable performance improvements in handling, acceleration, and shift points. Our previous 2010 LS460L was nice, but the ride was not as refined and the performance was mediocre. I also have a BMW750iL and while it moves the performance needle, it doesn't offer the same refinement in ride quality. I think the Lexus is more balanced if you prefer Luxury first, with a shot of performance when you want it.
