Never a "have to have it" kind of car guy until I saw, researched and drove this car. It's a solid, powerful, and super slick cabriolet that only catches the eye of the passionate. It has a beautiful saddle leather interior with gorgeous wood details and a really good stereo that rivals todays' car stereos. It has strong and silent 4.3 V8 that is top of the list reliable. I bought my 2002 in 2023 and fixed a few things with the audio system and is now a low-mile like-new car. I love driving it when I can and will til I can't drive anymore.

These cars are an amazing value. Quite simply many people hate the styling. Hence a low price. Nothing I write matters on this. You like it or don’t or put up with it for the value. The interior is simply stunning. Other than a Bentley I had no other car I’ve seen is nicer inside. Quality materials. Nice leather. Stunning real wood. And unlike anything else a way to cover the nav screen with a wood door. Stereo is excellent. Ride quality is fantastic for long trips. No. Not a super fast car in corners. Fast enough and very comfortable. Engine is silky smooth and whisper quiet. Except when you floor it you get that v8 growl. Again not a dragster but plenty powerful enough. The roof is magic. A hardtop coupe most of the time but a fantastic open top with minimal buffeting. Reliable. Very reliable. Excellent Lexus service if needed. Our 2004 has merely 60k miles and zero repairs. Many of these are low miles. Toyota reliability is a great comfort. Big and heavy and safe. Plenty of airbags and great brakes. Mass is safer than lighter cars. Do the negative? It is not easy on gas. Styling is either love or hate. Navigation system cannot be updated and CarPlay is not available although there are kits to add it including nav music and phone. So the electronic toys are dated. To give you an idea my new car is a Porsche 911. Modern. But on long trips or just getting from A to Z the Lexus is first choice. Porsche is more modern and exciting but … not as beautiful inside nor comfortable. I totally recommend this if the styling and gas mileage and electronics are not an issue. The value is unbelievable and unbeatable.

This car is like a tank...very safe but drives live a race car with quickness and agility...its a joy to drive. No issues ever with this car and it is sleek and sexy, great for a summer drive to the beach or a fall drive up to the mountains. Love it!!

I purchased a 2002 SC430, black on black, with only 49,000 miles on it. Love everything about the car, it's looks, how it drives. I keep it in ECT Power mode to get that bit more impooh when I hit the accelerator. Since it's a Lexus, I'm not worried about reliability and only having to do basic maintenance. The only major upgrade to the car I've done is new tires and a rearview camera. Minor upgrades have been bluetooth and some new lighting.

This Beast is my favorite car ever! nobody believes me when I say its a 17 year old car. So comfy, and reasonably quick. Drop the top, and you experience an entirely different car. I hope to have this car forever as my weekend warrior. I don't drive crazy and fast, and I am averaging about 22 miles a gallon.....not too bad for a V8 rear wheel drive car. I still get compliments almost everytime I drive it. This car can brighten your day just by dropping the top (takes about 25 seconds) and cruising. Sure, you basically don't have back seats, but you know that going into this car purchase. Get one, you will be happy! And to those people ragging this car out....have you ever driven one? It's looks are definitely polarizing, but I find it to be retro and current at the same time. It has actually grown on me since I do not see them very often these days.

A 2004 convertible with 32,000 miles. Silver with a black interior. That peaked our interest and we drove it. We fell in love. A silver Beauty with a retractable electric convertible top. Sold! We’ll have this one for a long time. We’re both in our 80’s so who knows how long we’ll be around to enjoy this little honey of an auto. We’ll do our best.

A/C is ice cold. Mileage was 145,000, no accidents. Interior is extremely clean with white leather seats. In four months ownership, I have had several inquisitors ask about the car. Complements too. Drive this for the design beauty, quality ride and sound mechanical attributes. I don’t put much value in calls for classic status, just as I doubt Beanie Babies value. Own it for your personal satisfaction.

I have had a Lexus 430 SC for 8 years I love this car.I had a Mita before,.wanted a heavier car to drive on the interstate.this car is a dream very smooth ride. Easy top Down....had very little problems. It's unique and beautiful....I love the back seat..great for a dog or child or your coat and purse. . The mita had nothing...no it's not for everyone, but I like it....better than any new car....Getting ready for a new timing Belt , which they say will take care of most of the maintenance for long time. It is a 2004. They only made this car 2002 to 2010..

This makes the car xxxx and git. love the mod, plug and play too. Also someone ask about backup camera, they also have a plug and play camera set up that lets you go right through the nav system, come on in reverse and goes back to nav all the rest of the time. Also added a bluetooth receiver $20 on amazon. my 2002 has a aux in the back so it plugs right in, press fm if aux comes up on screen it has a direct connect, sounds awesome. only early models had this I think. This is one great car!

I have an ‘05 in indigo ink pearl, it drives super smooth and looks great! A lot of people have no love for the wheels, but I think it just adds to the unique quirky nature of the car, personally I love them. A good thing about the wheels, is they can be changed to something even more hideous, if you like. This car is never going to light the world on fire, but most people that see it, have never seen one before and I get compliments all the time.

No waiting for a salesman to look up the mileage, features, etc. 3) The sales staff leaves you alone while you browse around, research cars, and narrow your list. 4) The sales process was quick and easy with zero pressure. 5) Six months later, we've found no issues with the vehicle. 6) They had no bad cars on the lot at all--every one of them seemed solid and reliable. 7) CarFax reports were available free of charge. 8) There are great Uzbeki, Jamaican, and Indian restaurants right down the road! I don't think any two of these things were true of any other dealership. Don't waste your time driving all over the city. I bought a Black 07 SC430 with the Camel interior. It is completely impractical and absolutely the best purchase I have ever made. The reliability of Lexus is bulletproof and after swapping the run flat tires for some Continentals, the ride has been whisper quiet and smooth like butter. There is enough room for groceries or small luggage with the top up or down, but my six foot two inch frame requires the driver seat to be pushed all the way backwards. Make no mistake, this is a two seater whip. I average 22 mpg in everyday driving and a wireless Bluetooth cassette device makes playing tunes through the outstanding Mark Levinson stereo a breeze. Buy one, you’ll love it and the styling still turns heads and gains compliments.

This car is great at what it's designed for: comfortable and reliable cruising. At 300 HP it's powerful enough to pass anything in your way, it's quiet with the top up and fun with the top down, and although you won't have the most exciting day driving on the razor's edge, that's not why you purchase it. My wife and I enjoy long rides (and without the spare you can store 2 carryon bags or one golf bag in the trunk). A 2002 with 160k miles, it doesn't need any expensive work, and runs well. The interior wood and leather are sumptious. I always get questions and compliments about the car when I stop. We love this car.

After 20 years of dreaming, I found my Egyptian Sand Pearl ‘03 beauty with 142910 original miles. Got most of its records and it had great care! I have changed all the fluids and timing belt water-pump Tensioner, thermostat, hoses & radiator to drive everyday in the summer and fall! Mileage on super has been 19.8 to 22 mpg mostly city driving ! It has been nothing short of a fantastic cruiser! Make sure you do the tb and wp every 9 yrs or 90000 miles and the engine will be bulletproof.
