I had an eye on this car for years and was finally able to purchase it pre-owned from the Lexus dealership with 81k original miles. I have had it for 1 year now and I am happy. For its age, it is a very Comfortable ride, powerful V8 engine, Reliable, and still in great condition. I have replaced the ML factory sound system with new speakers, sub and amp. Overall Love this ride. Hoping to have it for many years to come.

I have had a Lexus 430 SC for 8 years I love this car.I had a Mita before,.wanted a heavier car to drive on the interstate.this car is a dream very smooth ride. Easy top Down....had very little problems. It's unique and beautiful....I love the back seat..great for a dog or child or your coat and purse. . The mita had nothing...no it's not for everyone, but I like it....better than any new car....Getting ready for a new timing Belt , which they say will take care of most of the maintenance for long time. It is a 2004. They only made this car 2002 to 2010..

These cars are an amazing value. Quite simply many people hate the styling. Hence a low price. Nothing I write matters on this. You like it or don’t or put up with it for the value. The interior is simply stunning. Other than a Bentley I had no other car I’ve seen is nicer inside. Quality materials. Nice leather. Stunning real wood. And unlike anything else a way to cover the nav screen with a wood door. Stereo is excellent. Ride quality is fantastic for long trips. No. Not a super fast car in corners. Fast enough and very comfortable. Engine is silky smooth and whisper quiet. Except when you floor it you get that v8 growl. Again not a dragster but plenty powerful enough. The roof is magic. A hardtop coupe most of the time but a fantastic open top with minimal buffeting. Reliable. Very reliable. Excellent Lexus service if needed. Our 2004 has merely 60k miles and zero repairs. Many of these are low miles. Toyota reliability is a great comfort. Big and heavy and safe. Plenty of airbags and great brakes. Mass is safer than lighter cars. Do the negative? It is not easy on gas. Styling is either love or hate. Navigation system cannot be updated and CarPlay is not available although there are kits to add it including nav music and phone. So the electronic toys are dated. To give you an idea my new car is a Porsche 911. Modern. But on long trips or just getting from A to Z the Lexus is first choice. Porsche is more modern and exciting but … not as beautiful inside nor comfortable. I totally recommend this if the styling and gas mileage and electronics are not an issue. The value is unbelievable and unbeatable.

Never a "have to have it" kind of car guy until I saw, researched and drove this car. It's a solid, powerful, and super slick cabriolet that only catches the eye of the passionate. It has a beautiful saddle leather interior with gorgeous wood details and a really good stereo that rivals todays' car stereos. It has strong and silent 4.3 V8 that is top of the list reliable. I bought my 2002 in 2023 and fixed a few things with the audio system and is now a low-mile like-new car. I love driving it when I can and will til I can't drive anymore.

Did not love the styling at first but it's really growing on me.Looks way better in person than pictures. Very comfortable ride and quiet, top up or down. If you want to address the acceleration concern look to sc430mods.com they sell an accelerator modulator $99. It turns this car into a beast! and you can vary the rate of acceleration. This makes the car xxxx and git. love the mod, plug and play too. Also someone ask about backup camera, they also have a plug and play camera set up that lets you go right through the nav system, come on in reverse and goes back to nav all the rest of the time. Also added a bluetooth receiver $20 on amazon. my 2002 has a aux in the back so it plugs right in, press fm if aux comes up on screen it has a direct connect, sounds awesome. only early models had this I think. This is one great car!

I have an ‘05 in indigo ink pearl, it drives super smooth and looks great! A lot of people have no love for the wheels, but I think it just adds to the unique quirky nature of the car, personally I love them. A good thing about the wheels, is they can be changed to something even more hideous, if you like. This car is never going to light the world on fire, but most people that see it, have never seen one before and I get compliments all the time.

Honestly, my experience was 6/5 stars. I went on Sunday to test drive the Crosstrek…Estelle Feng was more than happy to show me the vehicle, answer any questions, and didn’t pressure me at all to buy that day. I knew I’d be coming back because of her. I even considered going to a different dealership, but I just wanted to work with Estelle. Yesterday (Wednesday), Estelle met me on my timeline (she’s really the best) to test drive the specific trim I wanted, and I didn’t think I’d be able to make any deals that day, due to some paperwork I was waiting on. This is where Jeff Jones comes in. Honestly, I don’t know how Jeff did it, but he gave me exactly what I wanted. He worked hard to make sure to meet all my demands (and there were many). He somehow was able to get me into my dream car that day. Jeff is easy to talk, has a great sense of humor and really loves his job. Oh and he has the patience of a saint but I’ll get to the later. Marco Saines handled the boring stuff (paperwork)…again, super easy to talk to, honest, and just a good guy. He made it as painless as possible. He’s also quick to get back to you if you have questions. Back to Jeff…reading the contract today, I got confused by the numbers I was looking at. Admittedly, I am sick with a cold, and not thinking as sharply as normal. I called up and Jeff and ran him through the wringer. He very patiently explained to me what I was misunderstanding…several times (I’m sorry Jeff!!!). I realized my error and am immediately writing this review! :) Honestly, these three are a dream team. At no point did I feel pressured to buy that day, they just let me know I could if I wanted to. I hate being pressured, I’m highly anxious and am going through a difficult chapter in my life. I felt so comfortable as a woman going alone to this dealership and getting a car. I can honestly say this is one of the best customer experiences I’ve ever had, and that’s saying a lot, especially for a car dealership. You won’t regret buying a car here. This is my second SC430. Happily I returned to my senses and bought a newer version with very low miles. The 6 speed transmission is a great improvement. The engine has so much power it begs to run in the lowest rpm possible. This is a good thing. While not an automotive engineer I expect this drivetrain is good for 500,000 miles or more. At 60 mph the tach shows 1800 rpms, practically a fast idle. All the cool bells and whistles from a time ago but how is that bad? I switched the oem wheels for custom 20in chrome and low profile Toyo tires. Looks very cool and rides great. Hardly a trip anywhere doesn’t find somebody asking if I want to sell it. I see prices for low mileage good condition models escalating a bit and will probably continue. If you have one, don’t sell it. If you don’t have one, get one.

Oil change and tire alignment was accomplished in a very timely manner. The service person was very knowledgeable about the services I requested. The service person kept me apprised of the progress of the work.

We were looking for a Lexus Sedan for my wife, and I wanted a more sporty vehicle. In the past I’ve had Vettes and several 380Z’s, as I aged it was not as easy to get into and out of. So we never had heard of the LexusSC until the salesman at the dealership said I think I have the perfect car for you. He said I think you’ll love the LexusSC we got in a week ago. A 2004 convertible with 32,000 miles. Silver with a black interior. That peaked our interest and we drove it. We fell in love. A silver Beauty with a retractable electric convertible top. Sold! We’ll have this one for a long time. We’re both in our 80’s so who knows how long we’ll be around to enjoy this little honey of an auto. We’ll do our best.

Andrew and Mike were the reps on site and they were super nice. They have a ton of good Toyota options and for a reasonable and fair price. Andrew assisted me with the buying process. I was pleased with the overall process and purchasing experience that Andrew provided. I highly recommend brining a strong down payment to lower interest. I looked for a sc430 for about a year finally found a 2002 that was owned by a retired dentist this thing is cherry it still needs struts and a radiator along with timing belt. Already fixed oil leaks and tires along with control arms.153 thousand miles and it turns heads fun to drive love this car much more than my 350 Z

After 20 years of dreaming, I found my Egyptian Sand Pearl ‘03 beauty with 142910 original miles. Got most of its records and it had great care! I have changed all the fluids and timing belt water-pump Tensioner, thermostat, hoses & radiator to drive everyday in the summer and fall! Mileage on super has been 19.8 to 22 mpg mostly city driving ! It has been nothing short of a fantastic cruiser! Make sure you do the tb and wp every 9 yrs or 90000 miles and the engine will be bulletproof.

Nate and his wife are great. We worked mostly with Nate who was responsive, friendly, no pressure for the sale, and he got the paperwork done in a flash. The car we bought is in good shape (confirmed it with a mechanic today) and my son is very happy with his first vehicle.

I purchased a 2002 SC430, black on black, with only 49,000 miles on it. Love everything about the car, it's looks, how it drives. I keep it in ECT Power mode to get that bit more impooh when I hit the accelerator. Since it's a Lexus, I'm not worried about reliability and only having to do basic maintenance. The only major upgrade to the car I've done is new tires and a rearview camera. Minor upgrades have been bluetooth and some new lighting.

I love driving this car! It may be an older vehicle, but feels solid and reliable. You can enjoy a well insulated coupe, or drop the top for open air driving! Mine is "fun" car, so I do not drive it in winters or bad weather. I plan to keep this beast forever. The only real downsides are the cupholders and back seats are basically useless!! If you can find a nice example of an SC430.....get it while you can! This car is not a true "sports" car, but it was also not intended to be. I think that is why some people wrote this car off because it's big and heavy, so not the greatest cornering machine. If you want a comfortable and reliable convertible, then look no further. I am still blown away at how solid this car is after nearly 20 years. I like knowing that even when I'm older, I should still be able to drive this car comfortably since it rides reasonably smooth for a car this low to the ground. Try driving a corvette or something like that and I bet the suspension will cause some discomfort in your older years. If you do not plan on driving the SC430 year round, then I suggest getting a trickle charger (for winter) because the battery will die....I know from experience!

I wrote a negative review of this dealership and since then they have gone above and beyond to help me with my issue. They have resolved my issue and never blinked an eye. Stephen my salesman was the best thing about this dealership. He is the best and Sam is a wonderful person to work with.

I bought this car used six years ago and I LOVE it! It's Sporty....Fast...Very STYLISH as i get comments all the time. Lexus quit making the SC430 eleven years ago and I believe they made a mistake as everyone always comments about this car and it's Azure Blue Color. It is a Pebble Beach Edition of which only 400 were made of that color.

When you sit behind the wheel, you're immediately impressed by the luxuriousness of the MASSIVE amounts of fine leather and beautiful wood trim ( mine is saddle with walnut!) The fit and finish is the finest I've seen and I've been in the auto business for 41+ years. Everything works, and one get's the impression that it will function perfectly forever. These are the cars that become collector items, and it should because it IS the first convertible ever manufactured by Lexus. Buy one, hold onto it, and your heirs will have a nice surprise at Barret-Jackson!

I previously owned a Nissan late model 370Z. My wife stressed about riding in it even when driven with her anxieties in mind. I replaced it with a 2002 SC430 with an indigo blue paint job, that I love. Like many other reviews, I had all struts replaced, new timing belt and water pump and new tires (got run flats but regular pneumatic smoother). Engine and tranny runs smooth as silk. A/C is ice cold. Mileage was 145,000, no accidents. Interior is extremely clean with white leather seats. In four months ownership, I have had several inquisitors ask about the car. Complements too. Drive this for the design beauty, quality ride and sound mechanical attributes. I don’t put much value in calls for classic status, just as I doubt Beanie Babies value. Own it for your personal satisfaction.
