Drives lile riding on cloud so silent that few of my buddies newer 2025 year cars don’t keep up to standards. 20 year old car & nothing squeks in interior

The best car I've ever owned. I've owned Audi's, Chevy's, Nissan, Acura's, and other cars over the years. None have been better, although Acura's are a very close second. I got the car with 75K miles on it, drove it for 8 years, and just sold it with 307K miles on it. Very few problems over the years. Had to replace 2 timing belts, the radiator, alternator, and one wheel bearing. It was such a great car, so I went out and found a low mileage 2009 RX350 (same body style) but with half the miles. As a sales rep, I feel confident with my new(er) RX and am confident I can run this one up to 300K + miles - no worries.

These cars are an amazing value. Quite simply many people hate the styling. Hence a low price. Nothing I write matters on this. You like it or don’t or put up with it for the value. The interior is simply stunning. Other than a Bentley I had no other car I’ve seen is nicer inside. Quality materials. Nice leather. Stunning real wood. And unlike anything else a way to cover the nav screen with a wood door. Stereo is excellent. Ride quality is fantastic for long trips. No. Not a super fast car in corners. Fast enough and very comfortable. Engine is silky smooth and whisper quiet. Except when you floor it you get that v8 growl. Again not a dragster but plenty powerful enough. The roof is magic. A hardtop coupe most of the time but a fantastic open top with minimal buffeting. Reliable. Very reliable. Excellent Lexus service if needed. Our 2004 has merely 60k miles and zero repairs. Many of these are low miles. Toyota reliability is a great comfort. Big and heavy and safe. Plenty of airbags and great brakes. Mass is safer than lighter cars. Do the negative? It is not easy on gas. Styling is either love or hate. Navigation system cannot be updated and CarPlay is not available although there are kits to add it including nav music and phone. So the electronic toys are dated. To give you an idea my new car is a Porsche 911. Modern. But on long trips or just getting from A to Z the Lexus is first choice. Porsche is more modern and exciting but … not as beautiful inside nor comfortable. I totally recommend this if the styling and gas mileage and electronics are not an issue. The value is unbelievable and unbeatable.

Everyone at the dealership was great to deal with. The technician who took me to look at the vehicle was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He also gave me great advice on what to do with the vehicle in terms of restoration work that would save me money and time in the long run, while still making sure I would get the best work done on the vehicle. Great experience!

Never a "have to have it" kind of car guy until I saw, researched and drove this car. It's a solid, powerful, and super slick cabriolet that only catches the eye of the passionate. It has a beautiful saddle leather interior with gorgeous wood details and a really good stereo that rivals todays' car stereos. It has strong and silent 4.3 V8 that is top of the list reliable. I bought my 2002 in 2023 and fixed a few things with the audio system and is now a low-mile like-new car. I love driving it when I can and will til I can't drive anymore.

I bought 2011 Honda Pilot EX in 2016 from East Coast Auto Source. It had bullet holes in the body and some shot out windows. I repaired the bullet holes, and had the other repairs completed. Car ran well and it needed some other work. Nine years later, we have 211,000 more miles on the Pilot. It was a good price and East Coast Auto Source was upfront and honest about the repairs and had the car shipped to my mechanic. I would bought another car in 2024 from them and I am happy with the deal.

This Beast is my favorite car ever! nobody believes me when I say its a 17 year old car. So comfy, and reasonably quick. Drop the top, and you experience an entirely different car. I hope to have this car forever as my weekend warrior. I don't drive crazy and fast, and I am averaging about 22 miles a gallon.....not too bad for a V8 rear wheel drive car. I still get compliments almost everytime I drive it. This car can brighten your day just by dropping the top (takes about 25 seconds) and cruising. Sure, you basically don't have back seats, but you know that going into this car purchase. Get one, you will be happy! And to those people ragging this car out....have you ever driven one? It's looks are definitely polarizing, but I find it to be retro and current at the same time. It has actually grown on me since I do not see them very often these days.

This was my first Lexus but I'll buy another if I want a car again. Very ergonomic cockpit, comfortable. In sport mode it is fast off the line but in regular mode it is a dog. Excellent commuter car in an urban environment and gets into any parking spot. Not good in snow despite FWD. Light rear-end can bounce at times, like going over rumble strips or when stopping on new or loose gravel. 5 doors, 60/40 rear seat and hatchback allow superb flexibility for hauling people, dogs, things, etc. Very adaptable car ahead of its time.

This vehicle outdistances any other luxury car I’ve driven, by virtually every measure. Moreover, its automotive integrity and reliability (which mean fewer repairs) are unsurpassed. Every time I read accounts of MBS550 owners crying over maintenance expenses, I have to chuckle. For a pure luxury blue blood, pay $30-50k less for an LS and enjoy the ride.

I’m ecstatically thankful tremendously out my mind, seriously! It is literally just like floating in a bubble. So comfy and cozy, praise God!! All I can say is that the salesman and negotiator were not satisfied, especially when you pray.

We were looking for a Lexus Sedan for my wife, and I wanted a more sporty vehicle. In the past I’ve had Vettes and several 380Z’s, as I aged it was not as easy to get into and out of. So we never had heard of the LexusSC until the salesman at the dealership said I think I have the perfect car for you. He said I think you’ll love the LexusSC we got in a week ago. A 2004 convertible with 32,000 miles. Silver with a black interior. That peaked our interest and we drove it. We fell in love. A silver Beauty with a retractable electric convertible top. Sold! We’ll have this one for a long time. We’re both in our 80’s so who knows how long we’ll be around to enjoy this little honey of an auto. We’ll do our best.

I have had a Lexus 430 SC for 8 years I love this car.I had a Mita before,.wanted a heavier car to drive on the interstate.this car is a dream very smooth ride. Easy top Down....had very little problems. It's unique and beautiful....I love the back seat..great for a dog or child or your coat and purse. . The mita had nothing...no it's not for everyone, but I like it....better than any new car....Getting ready for a new timing Belt , which they say will take care of most of the maintenance for long time. It is a 2004. They only made this car 2002 to 2010..

I love driving this car! It may be an older vehicle, but feels solid and reliable. You can enjoy a well insulated coupe, or drop the top for open air driving! Mine is "fun" car, so I do not drive it in winters or bad weather. I plan to keep this beast forever. The only real downsides are the cupholders and back seats are basically useless!! If you can find a nice example of an SC430.....get it while you can! This car is not a true "sports" car, but it was also not intended to be. I think that is why some people wrote this car off because it's big and heavy, so not the greatest cornering machine. If you want a comfortable and reliable convertible, then look no further. I am still blown away at how solid this car is after nearly 20 years. I like knowing that even when I'm older, I should still be able to drive this car comfortably since it rides reasonably smooth for a car this low to the ground. Try driving a corvette or something like that and I bet the suspension will cause some discomfort in your older years. If you do not plan on driving the SC430 year round, then I suggest getting a trickle charger (for winter) because the battery will die....I know from experience!

After 20 years of dreaming, I found my Egyptian Sand Pearl ‘03 beauty with 142910 original miles. Got most of its records and it had great care! I have changed all the fluids and timing belt water-pump Tensioner, thermostat, hoses & radiator to drive everyday in the summer and fall! Mileage on super has been 19.8 to 22 mpg mostly city driving ! It has been nothing short of a fantastic cruiser! Make sure you do the tb and wp every 9 yrs or 90000 miles and the engine will be bulletproof.

I bought this car used six years ago and I LOVE it! It's Sporty....Fast...Very STYLISH as i get comments all the time. Lexus quit making the SC430 eleven years ago and I believe they made a mistake as everyone always comments about this car and it's Azure Blue Color. It is a Pebble Beach Edition of which only 400 were made of that color.

More comfort than our 2004 Pilot, but 4 downsides. 1. Navigation screen/system is annoying. I acts like a 4 year old needing attention every 2minutes. I do not need to know where I am at. I Know where I am at, show me the radio. It does not need to know where to go, I am driving, not the GX. 2. NO Storage areas, like under seats, door pocket are small, no storage compartments in the rear, like the Pilot, or even an RX330. Cant store my firearms out of sight. GUN RACK IS GOING IN THE WINDOW! 3. Third seats are a joke. they were on the garage floor the first hour. 4. Center Console. Pilot HANDS DOWN, better center console. Places to put things including multiple drink containers, not just 2; and ammo. Positive. This thing can climb! I am impressed going to a V8 AWD from the Pilot V6 FWD part time AWD, that I have only lost 1 -2 mpg average. I figured it would be more, since this does weight about 450 lbs more than the Pilot did, plus the V8 and AWD full time. Front seat comfort is about the same for me, I am 6' 5", mostly legs. Road noise, is much less in the GX than the Pilot. I can actually hear the radio with out it being near max. The Pilot even had good Michelin MS on it and still you could hear the tires. The previous one owner is not going to be happy that this is getting a off-road make over. She kept it clean as a pin and all service records from day one, that is the reason I bought this one, over some - a couple thousand less. We'll see, I wanted a newer 4Runner, but gads even 2012's were more than this by thousands. Just needed something a little more than the Pilot. I will say the Pilot had been a trooper, got her in some places that even Jeep guys went. "how did you get here?" But she needs to RIP now.

Never been a very "passionate" driver, and have seldom even been motivated to wash my car with any regularity. For some reason my '13 GS 350 F Sport rear wheel drive h as changed me into a different person! My car history has gone from '90 Corolla to '94 Saturn to '03 Honda (my fave before this car) to '12 Volvo S60 (very weird car) and I never really cared for them except as appliances to get me around. With this car, I spend so much time thinking about it, buying things for it, even looking at it! It's been really surprising. I just love how it has such a split personality (in the best way possible). When you're feeling low key and just want to cruise down the road, it drives almost exactly like an ES (test drove a couple of these first) with its quiet interior and smooth shifting transmission. The steering is effortless and light, but not totally numb like in the ES. However, if you go to Sport + the steering becomes much heavier, the engine holds revs much higher before downshifting, and the car corners like a champ. I was amazed the first time I took it on a curvy road with the way you could pitch it into corners - it just goes where you point it with such great accuracy. The seats are the best I've sat in, the Mark Levinson stereo is very good, the bluetooth and voice recognition work just fine, and the visibility is great. Negatives for me would be marginal gas mileage (I get just under 20 in my normal driving), and a pretty stupidly designed mouse system to operate the computer. Also important to know that this car goes through tires and brakes much quicker than your average car. My car is currently at 73.5K miles, and I want to try to get it to the 200 mark. With Lexus' reputation for reliability, I think I can make it happen. Otherwise

I had an eye on this car for years and was finally able to purchase it pre-owned from the Lexus dealership with 81k original miles. I have had it for 1 year now and I am happy. For its age, it is a very Comfortable ride, powerful V8 engine, Reliable, and still in great condition. I have replaced the ML factory sound system with new speakers, sub and amp. Overall Love this ride. Hoping to have it for many years to come.
