In my opinion, the 2020 Lexus ES is the best midsize sedan on the market. Featuring a 3.5L Naturally aspirated V6 making 302 HP and 267 (not 266) pounds feet of torque, it’s 195 inches long with a wheel base of 113 inches which makes this drive like a boat, it drives a lot like its bigger brother, the LS—luxurious and composed— but that’s more of a yacht compare to ES. Firstly I’m going to highlight my experience with the car daily driving it. I absolutely love this car, on start up while the engine is cold it is a bit jerky, I’m referring to the Asian 8 speed tranny, it doesn’t like cold fluids what so ever, the engine is loud as it use direct injection instead of the port injection (D4s) while cold. But after it warms up it’s like floating on a cloud, even over bostons worst roads, wind noise is minimal, road noise is non existence and the ambiance of the cabin is amazing, I love driving it, dry smooth, I doesn’t hunt for gears as much as people say but it does jerk at times at low speeds especially if your coming to a stop and you let on the gas instead of hitting zero, it shocks the car and the tranny jerks you into 2nd, turns are very bubbly you feel like your on a bouncy castle, I also need to highlight the personality of ES, 302 HP.. this ain’t no itty bitty 4 banger, ain’t no civic, this is an ES, its own world, it’s fast.. it has no forced induction so from a roll yes you are slow but highway speeds? Man the linear power delivery, it’s so smooth and fast, I can go 120 no problem, I love it so much, but that’s not what the cars about.. but I can be.. it has its limits. The FWD system is fine, 0 torque steer.. I mean there’s a bit but it only becomes prominent if you don’t know how to drive lol, the unibody construction is very planted and structurally intact. It can take an emergency panic steer at 45 MPH easy & hard breaking is done like a champ. The triple beam head lights are amazing the way they follow the direction of the wheel at night. I don’t really have any complaints about ES, besides that jerky tranny but it’s only on cold starts and only when you don’t know how to drive it. The safety systems are lovely, I really like the Lexus touch pad, I love seeing my screen on a sunny day finger print free!! Makes it look elegant, never been a touch screen fan to begin with, I just don’t like how Lexus stops you from being able to interact with the touch pad while the car is in motion but it’s a safety feature. It’s not a perfect car but xxxx is it a great one.. I had Lexus’ my whole life so maybe I’m biased.. I encourage reads to look up the downs sides.. you’ll see people always say the tranny is jerky.. nothing else beside that. And the maintenance? Can’t beat 90$ at the DEALERSHIP I love it, it’s cheap to run and oh it takes regular!! Huge win!! People turn heads when in drive in.. because I have THE Lexus ES, guys skip the base get the triple beams and it elevates your car, the ultra luxury package is amazing, I have every available option you could of speced back in 2020, it’s just such a nice car I love it!!! Please guys buy an ES if you want a smooth reliable comfortable sedan, if you wanna go go go, or something cheaper get a BMW. Or a Honda.

Other than the power locks going out too fast, which is not cheap to repair, especially as often as they go out, this car is a dream to drive, as well as own. Repairs are few, as I got it in 2016 with just under 90k. Here it is in Sept of 2024, and I have another thousand and it will be 300k, with again, very little maintenance to speak of. I will be buying Lexus from here on out.

Kim is great and does her best to make things happen. But there are others that make buying a car a bad experience and ray ? Is one I will never get a car from someone with that kind of attitude. But the car dealership is great and the cars are really nice. I was hoping on getting a challenger from them but I couldn't deal with certain people so I am looking elsewhere. I bought my 2018 Lexus ES350 "previously owned" in 2021. It had 18K miles on it and was Lexus Certified. It now has 30K miles on it and has been a good car for me. I love this car and would buy it all over again. It is a smooth running car and has been reliable. It is a comfortable car with great looks. The only downside is the "unusual" user interface center console control. This model year did not have a touch screen. I have adapted to the big square button used to manipulate the display screen and it's not so bad. Other than that, no complaints so far. I hope Lexus continues to offer the ES350 in the future. It is a classy, reliable car that I intend on keeping for quite some time.

2017 model - Key fob doesn't work! No remote start. Other than that, I cannot possibly be more happy with my purchase. Found an absolute steal after 70 hours of searching. If you're used to anything before 2010, this will make you feel like you purchased a spaceship. Fast enough to make you happy (unless you're only used to 400+ hp cars), reliable, handsome.

Fantastic SUV. Swiss Army Knife of SUVs. Snow, towing, hauling, groceries, and going to a nice dinner, this SUV does it all. Mine is 2017 Luxury with Driver Assist package fully loaded with tow package and captain's chairs. It is my 8th Lexus (my wife has her 3rd RX 350, my daughter has IS 250, and I have had an LS 460L ($104K car!) and two GX 350s, all loaded. All perfect and zero issues. I live in Ohio and I run Blizzak snow tires in winter. The traction is amazing. The sound system is better than in my LS and it is quieter than the LS. I hated my LS due to tiny trunk and is the only Lexus that did not suit my needs and taste, FWIW. I am 59 and retired aerospace engineer, and will drive my GX until it no longer runs, I no longer run, or there is no more gas to buy. I have been a Toyota/Lexus fanboy for 20+ years. The GX does everything that I want it to do and it does it very well. I enjoy it that much.

Resale and trade-in value will be lower, and some dealerships won’t take salvage vehicles. Review from a current 09 is250 owner who wishes he was told these things before buying. It’s small but spacious enough to fit the very basic things. Seats don’t fold down in the rear I never knew that before I bought it so keep that in mind. With that being said the trunk is very large for what you need to put in there on a daily basis. Models before 2010 don’t have Bluetooth music. Engine is a bit more powerful then you think when you first see 2.5L V6 but the torque is really the winner with handling in performance for that category of the car. Car takes 91 octane as a minimum at the gas pump don’t buy a Lexus and cheap out on gas or good oil. Car is great for a basic modification platform if your a young guy looking to get into modding aftermarket is pretty great. If your looking at any of these 2006-2012 IS models CHECK FOR STICKY DASH!!!!!! For me it wasn’t a deal breaker but it does get annoying sometimes if you live in hotter climates. Speaker system is great if you get the mark levinson package in yours. Steering is great as most people say. Gas mileage I get is 26 MPG combined city and highway with shell 91 gas in my tank. Car is great at what it’s meant to do but make sure if your wanting enough power to keep up with most v6 engines (go with the is350) or enough cargo room to go to ikea or Home Depot (go with the gs350). Also if your looking for the is250 for a basic commuter car make sure as soon as you purchase it do this list :Oil change and filter buy high quality oil ( if you live in a warm climate put only 10W-30 oil because the stock 5W recommendation will fail you and the car will burn it all off and run horribly) because yes the 250 burns oil, get the K&N high flow air filter it helps just give the car a little more air to feel a bit faster which helps in this slow thing, general inspection at your local mechanic for rust or general part ware, new headlights because most are fogged from 06-2012 or get headlight clear by McGuires.

The Lexus IS 350 F Sport has been a great car! It does a great job in the winter and the only downside is the clearance. But I can’t complain about the car, it has been great. It sounds good when you get on it and it’s quick. Not sure about 3 seconds quick like the gentleman in the other review and I’m almost certain he is a little high. But I plan on buying another Lexus just might try a different model. Plus I’m not as slim as I use to be.

My Lexus IS250 has 248000 miles in it and I have no problems out of it except the tire pressure gauge is messed up and the light stays on. Other than that I have no problems

Had my 2016 gx for a year and a half now got it wit 50,000 miles 2 previous owners drove it across the country twice has a 113,000 miles now and hasnt given me one problem just regular service and maintenance. We are a Lexus family because the cars are graceful and reliable. We will never drive anything else. We have a 2006 Rx 330 with 300,000 miles and it’s still going strong. Never a problem…just the usual-brakes, tires and oil changes, batteries. I drive a 2011 ES 350 sedan that I bought used. 2 years old. Now has 110,000 miles. Still shiny and fresh looking. So nice to have a dependable vehicle. I think my drivers side seat is a little broken down and I am not a heavy person. I use a special cushion for comfort. I realize newer cars have more bells and whistles..but what’s the point of trading a great car for a bigger cup holder? We are older. When we are ready to go down to one car we will trade them both for another Lexus!!!!! Best car on the road! My son has been a top rated auto mechanic for 26 years-not American made-and he concurs. Love our cars!
