Of course the ex wife and others said omg you got a headache of troubles by buying a Maserati! I ignored all. I have the 2014 SQ4 is incredible and the Sport mode is incredible. But a bit too dangerous for me because I always floor it!! Amazing and BEAUTIFUL car!

This is a high performance car and it meets my expectations as performance. If you are looking for a performance car this is it. It is comfortable but it is not as comfortable as a car from Japan or American car. It does have a lot of technology built into the interior. Hey! Why not a long-term review? I'm the guy above who wrote a review back in 2015 after a week of ownership. That's just a teaser, as it turns out. I've now owned this car (Carbonio Nero GTS, bells and whistles, etc) for 7 1/2 years, and I've put about 50K miles on it. It has broken down/stranded me exactly once (in the rain, at the SFO parking garage) due to its JAPANESE Nippondenso alternator, which I removed and had rebuilt, then replaced myself. Not for the faint-hearted, as it requires removing the top of the intake manifold, but straight forward as far as repairs go. That was six years ago. That having been said, my QP has been to as mechanic exactly...ZERO times for repairs, although it spend a week at my local guy's getting prepped for its initial collaudo (inspection) at the Motorizazzione Ufficio. This is because, when we moved to Italy in late 2020, my wife and I brought the QP with us. Because it was a US-spec car, it had to be certified to EU spec by the government office. There was five months' bureaucratic paperwork to be completed, a bit of work replacing the TPMS sensors, and a Photoshop-generated new speedo label which read in KM/H. My gorgeous deep grey window tint had to go, as it's illegal here in Italy. Now my beautiful QPV with 85K miles on the odometer is back on the street. We live exactly four blocks from the Maserati factory in Modena. Wave when you hear us go by! There is exactly one issue, which I suspect is not specific to my own car--the factory wheels. In my opinion, they are substandard. Four out of five developed hairline cracks in normal freeway driving, which led to replacing wheels and tires as onesies to the tune of $1800.00 a few years back, until I finally broke down and installed factory-spec aftermarket five spoke wheels. Nary a problem since. This QPV is a xxxx of a car. No plans to ever sell it or trade it in.

Bought in 2007 with 9000 miles. Poor man's Ferrari. Elegantly understated but drives like a supercharged go-gart...rails. So much fun to drive. Waiting for the electric version.

This car has plenty of leg room in the front and back. Looks sharp and has exceptional performance. The road handling is awesome. Not sure about the cost of maintenance yet.

It will flat out go. So much fun to drive. Obviously insurance costs are not great but the car is amazing. Sound system is a disappointment though.

With over 40K miles, my Ghibli SQ4 is still running super smooth. Love this car...both styling and driving. No significant mechanical issues. I did run into a "turbo under-boost" code this year, but it was related to a worn seal in one of the duct(?) tubes. Anyhow, it was a $350 job via an honest local mechanic (not a dealer). In terms of driver technology engagement, the '16 Ghibli isn't perfect and I wish it was more tech-forward features. However, this would not have dissuaded me from buying the car. :) My wife's 2015 BMW 5-Series doesn't have Apple CarPlay either...but we survive.

Car has been great to own but after 5 exotics I am burn out from car shows gatherings and such and I have lost interest in my Italian sickness. Car is fully serviced all records and new clutch so no need for anything.

I bought this car for my wife in the AWD Q4 configuration. It is very stylish and to my eye, beautiful inside and out. It has a lovely exhaust note and a subtle, appealing turbo whine to go along with it. In Sport mode, the exhaust note becomes more pronounced and the performance quite exhilarating. Handling is surprisingly good for a car of its size. The AWD system works perfectly, helping with traction especially in the wet. I would rate it equal to the BMW 5 series in all performance categories (but not the M5). As an every-day driver, it works just fine with a large trunk and well-laid out controls. The Garmin-derived navigation system is intuitive, making it easy to use. Visibility is excellent. The only problems we have had have been tires and front brakes. The OEM Pirellis stick well but do not last. I replaced them with Michelin Pilot Super Sports which were superior in every way, especially longevity. The front brake rotors warped and had to be replaced due to differentially torqued lug nuts (not Maserati's fault). The good news was that replacement was not especially expensive and a fairly easy DIY project for even an amateur mechanic.

Awesome looks, loads of power - most comfortable car I've ever owned. Everything is perfect, except for the annoying shifter. I would prefer an old school PND selector, slide left for manual shifting.

I recently purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Kar Genie. The vehicle price, mileage, condition and features were as advertised online. In the interest of Full Disclosure a sticker was prominently displayed on the windshield with a clear notice, the vehicle was being offered for sale in "AS-IS" condition. The vehicle could be returned, for any reason,within 48 hours with a re-stocking fee. I was given an opportunity to have my mechanic inspect the vehicle before taking delivery. I did choose to have an independent pre-sale inspection even though I had already accepted the sales contract and made a cash deposit before the inspection was done.  This inspection, which gave me a sense of confidence in making the purchase, was well worth the cost. I was satisfied with the terms and conditions so I proceeded with the transaction. The staff was professional and willing to address all of my questions and concerns. The sales staff did a great job of explaining the paperwork. I appreciated the courtesy that each staff member showed me before, during and after the transaction was completed. Having done my homework I had some advance knowledge of the vehicle that I wanted to purchase. That knowledge made it easier for me to work with the Kar Genie sales staff to get the vehicle I wanted. Due to Kar Genies' commitment to customer satisfaction and based on my resent experience with Kar Genie I would use Kar Genie again in the future.
