Used Mazda CX-9 for sale near Konterra, MD under $25,000

I came in knowing I was buying a Subaru but not sure whether to get Forester Hybrid now or wait for 2026 Crosstrek. Lucas was a great salesman - no pressure but helped with test drives and suggestions. Purchased a few days later with great experience with Lucas and with finance department. Even got to visit with very sweet labrador retrievers while we waited. (They were having an adoption day event at the dealership!)

Despite this being the final year offered (the CX-90 will replace it soon) the CX-9 is still a looker. The 6 speed transmission shifts smoothly and the 2.5L turbo has plenty of power to move this 4200 pound AWD, SUV. Seats are very comfortable in both first and middle and I keep the third row folded down leaving a good sized cargo area for hauling groceries, 50lb bags of birdseed, softener salt and anything else I need to carry. And I absolutely love the way this thing handles! It feels far more like a nimble car than a 3 row SUV. The 12 speaker Bose sound system is clear and powerful. The cabin is very quiet at all speeds. The ride is firm but solid and comfortable. Not a squeak or rattle. I have the Carbon Edition and I feel it looks as fresh as any new three row mid-sized SUV out there. I traded my 2019 Ram Limited (an incredibly luxurious truck for the Mazda and I was concerned about adapting to a smaller vehicle but the CX-9 is everything I could have hoped for. I would recommend anyone who enjoys driving and has to occasionally carry some bulky stuff to consider one of these before they're gone.

Love these guys! They made buying car very easy after being denied in my state every where I reached out to them and was they help us almost that day get approved! Love these guys I bought a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class GL 450 4MATIC AWD 4dr SUV came how they described no problem and they delivered quickly all within a matter of days. Buy a car from these guys they were pretty transparent and kept it 💯 with us. I will recommend all my people's here...!!!!! P.s even took the car to a known place to uncharge on work and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. Of course I purchased a warranty which they also gave me a great deal on. I looked at alot of suv's! As a mechanic they needed to meet a higher standard. In the price bracket there were only two suv's that I would consider. So I own a Mazda cx-9 Grand touring,it was the best bang for the buck in my opinion for price reliability and comfort. Bought it with .6 miles on it ,it now has 51247 So yes I've had a few issues since new the pass side window motor broke, the blower motor broke and the alt broke 3 times ! So the first two problems I understand and we're cheap to fix the alt was replaced under warranty twice and once by me out of warranty. Living in fl. There's runs of deep puddles and alt is low . I now have a life time warranty on the alt and haven't had a issue since! So I've talked with a few of the mechanic s at the dealership and the main company to start a recall /service bulletin witch would make the dealership install a splash shield by alt so maybe if your reading this the problem has been fix there 2016 models have a splash shield already so if your looking at a newer one your good to go ! I would suggest this suv to everyone . One downfall is the technology in it is older it works great but primitive compared to other suv's of the year I myself preferred this stuff it's easier to us compared to the complected newer ones .

I get around 26mpg in highways. City it's around 20mpg. Easy to drive around and looks great. Premium interiors. Nice pick up and sports mode boost makes it even more fun to drive! No maintenance issues for my 2022 CX-9 yet.

Owned this cx-9 for a year and a half and bought it new. I am constantly shopping for a new car, not because I don't like it, but I am of the belief that the best time to shop for a new car is when you don't need one and you're not unhappy with the one you got. I have not had any problems with the CX-9 and my only gripes about it are to do with the size. It's a little smaller than I'm used to. I'm 5'9", which is by no means tall, and I have to duck so I don't hit my head getting in and out but that could be remedied by lowering the seat which I don't care to do. I also regularly hit my head on the open liftgate. So yes, it's smaller than something like a Grand Cherokee or Explorer or the Highlander of the same model year but it's also a much better value, much better made and much, much, much better to drive. I live in an area with twisty hilly roads and I use the paddle shifters constantly. This is a fun car to drive. And it performs better than my parent's new e-class Mercedes. It's also more comfortable than that and easier to get in and out of for me. If you've got a ton of kids and junk to haul around, you're probably going to find this too tight but otherwise if you need a mid size SUV and you care about performance and overall quality, this one has your name all over it. For years and years I've had full size trucks so I'm used to sitting up higher and having an enormous cabin but I've been looking at them lately, even the ones with price tags nearly twice as much as this one's was and they just look and feel like such junk in comparison to the Mazda. Despite the smaller size, I haven't really run into very many scenarios where I didn't have enough space for my day to day needs, including taking home some 2x6 lumber which fit easily on the inside resting on the console. It's just that it's not as roomy and high up as competitors. So that's your tradeoff. It's a better made, better performing vehicle just that it might be a little smaller and not as spacious as you were hoping for. I really can't think of anything else to really complain about.

Compared to other 3 row SUV's, this girl is handling beautifully. The V6 roars on the highway (it's also used in the Mustang '11), the handling is straight out of a large coupé, and the styling is beautiful. The cruise control is also very smooth in curves and in the up and downs. She always performs well in the snow, the AWD doesn't disappoint, and for towing she's not the best, but can still carry most small campers, if that's your jam. The interior doesn't disappoint either. The seats are so good they haven't changed them in 11 years (so far!). Best part is, all the 7 seats are comfy! The very back row however can get cramped for the legs for the taller individual, but still an overall great place to be. The sound is great, but expect issues with the Bluetooth. You still have a 6 CD reader, so there's that, and an AUX jack. The boot also has decent space with seats up, and great space with all seats down. It's not without problems, however. She is always thirsty. You will spend a lot on gas. Expect about 500km on a city/highway usecase, 400km in the winter. For parking, it can get cramped, especially in some smaller underground spots. Overall, great car, fun to use, but will cost an arm in gas.

I went to the Criswell Nissan in Germantown, MD. You never know what to expect when going to dealerships. I went to get an oil change and an inspection to make sure everything was working well. Matthew was the person who helped me and he was very informative. I am not very knowledgeable about cars but he made sure to explain everything thoroughly. He also gave me a complimentary car wash. I will definitely be returning for any future car service I need.

After test driving other similar SUV's, the Mazda CX9 stood out over the others. Lots of leg room and the 3rd row of seats/storage makes a big difference.The all wheel drive is a mustfor winter driving. The turbo is a game changer as well. This vehicle has enough of the bells and whistles that you don't need to over spend on a higher priced vehicle.
