Used Mazda MX-5 Miata for sale near Mettawa, IL

I purchased this car to have a small convertible for pleasure use and it's perfect for my needs. The Soul Red color is beautiful. I am a big guy but after a little maneuvering of my body to enter it, I feel very comfortable in it. It's a 6 speed manual with a short but smooth shift knob. Lots of extras and features and still have to learn to navigate some of them. It has enough power for my needs and great gas mileage. Only wish it had automatic climate control and a little less road noise on the highway. The lane departure alert is very sensitive and irritating but is a good trade off for safety. It needs a cabin trunk release knob and if it has one, I can't find it. I would prefer leather seats and Bose radio system but my cloth seats are comfortable with excellent quality fabric and the 6 speaker radio is acceptable to someone who's not an audiophile. Lastly, would love automatic headlight dimmers so I don't blind oncoming drivers at night! Overall, I now know why it is so highly rated and I love it already.

Dealt with Jimmy at the dealership. Was there to see a certain car, and upon arrival, was given a detailed inspection and keys to test drive the vehicle. Unfortunately, we did not leave the lot with the car we went in to see. Jimmy showed us multiple other vehicles, and we left with a good deal. Found some issues with the used car we purchased through the first couple weeks. Luxury Auto was very good at making sure these issues were resolved fast and properly. Highly recommend this dealership for used car shopping.

This is my second Miata (first was a 1990), and I love it so much! Retractable hardtop roof is SO convenient!! Love the manual 6 speed for all the pep, and gas mileage is exceptional. I would consider a new one if the traditional, bright red paint and retractable hard top were both available. Since they're not, I'll stick with what I've got and enjoy it many more years!

Found the used car online that I was interested in. Super fair price compared to other car dealerships. Set up appointment to test drive the car the following day. I was promptly contacted that day by numerous people at Muller's. Worked with Richard K on completing the purchase. Friendly, no pressure sales. Received better APR financing through Muller's than my credit union offered.

When I am 64! I loved it as soon as I drove it. Still do. Not practical or extremely comfortable but that isn't the point of a MX5. A 6 speed manual transmission with the BBS/Brembo/Recaro GS-P. Just so you can feel every wheel on the road. Exactly the way it should be in a Fun Race Car :). Car is rated for 40 mpg ++. Who cares! ( I have a Prius for daily driver) The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts. With forged pistons, rods, crankshaft sports tuning I am having those thoughts. I had a 1990 Miata before. It was extremely reliable and fun to drive. This one does not disappoint. Thus far, it has been fun to drive and very economical.

Under Oscar’s guidance from his earliest work with Autobarn Mazda of Evanston to date, I never have had to return to him with a complaint that the work had been done poorly, with mistakes made, or required work not having been done at all. Yes, good work by mechanics have made that possible, but only under the tight, intelligent, direction and inspection of Galatia. I moved up from a 2015 Mazda 3 sport to the 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata Grand Touring soft top in May of 2020. It is soul red with tan leather interior. I have received many compliments from people who say the car looks more expensive then it really is. I prefer the soft top over the hard top model because it was almost 5 grand cheaper and I get more open space when driving with the top down. Takes me about two seconds to drop the top even while I'm sitting in the driver seat at a stop light. It is a lot of fun in sport mode on the highway as you can easily pass about anyone in seconds. Sometimes people move out of you way when they see you in their rear view mirror, lol. I turned off the lane departure feature as it beeps too much for me. I love the blind spot feature, automatic headlights, automatic climate control, seat heaters, and rain sensing wipers. There is a lot of wind noise in the cabin even with the top up and it is not as comfortable on long rides like the Mazda 3 was but I wouldn't go back. The trunk space is only good for one week of groceries or one carry on suitcase. There is no spare tire so I recommend having roadside assistance. CarPlay for iPhone works seamlessly and the Bose system sounds awesome. Build quality is top notch on this car, nothing feels cheap, and everything is laid out well. You have storage behind your seats but be aware the glove box is in between the seats and can be blocked by anything in the cup holders. I'm 5 foot 3 so this car fits me perfectly.

December 2024 bought a 2023 Mazda Miata Grand Touring with 34,500 miles. Drove the car from South Florida to the SC coast, 10 hours. Fantastic fun drive! 6 speed manual with a soft top only weighs 2350 pounds, spirited ride, excellent power and fuel economy, 35 mpg. Good tech with blind spot monitors, cruise, power windows and locks. Push button start, heated seats and navigation just enough tech. Puts a smile on your face just looking at it, lots of compliments and you are just happy driving this magnificent, magical machine!! Just love it! 🥰

So I owned my 2007 Miata for one year and two months until someone hit it when it was parked, and it got totaled. I bought it for $7000 and it had 213000 miles on it. The first year I spent around $1500 on repairs, maybe this number is so high because I wanted to take care of it well and others don't care to repair something immediately when it needs to be repaired. I also did all repairs with my dad so labor costs were not an issue. I talked to many friends who have cars like mustangs, enclaves and maximas and they pretty much all spent under 1,000 on repairs in the first year (they spent an average of like 400-500). Their cars ranged in years and miles. I assume the high milage on this car made the more frequent repairs needed. Anyway I loved this car gas milage was good and there was a few leaks like the rear brake light needed new gaskets under it. Great car but I feel like I was cheated a bit.

There is a recall on there faulty motors. Mine blew up one day. They did everything in there power to not cover the problem. Today I took back a brand new part to get my $300.00 back, and was told it was over 90 days and I couldn't return it. So I'm out of a little over $5000.00.

Fantastic car,Mazda got it right it makes my MGB and Datsun 1500 roadster look sick by comparison. Looks great handles great but above all it is RELIABLE!! A nice all weather roadster,I love this Company and the way they view Sports Cars Best used automobile I ever bought!

There's nothing negative that I can say. The agent who contacted me was very patient with me and walked me through every detail I needed. He made it so easy and pleasant. My car was delivered far sooner than I expected, and I was very pleased and excited about that. I didn't expect my new car to be flawless, as it's a 2008 model. The car looks absolutely showroom perfect inside and out. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the mechanics or electrical system. I'll know more when my Mercedes mechanic goes over the car, but so far, I don't see this purchase could have been anymore perfect.

If you are looking for great fun, economical maintenance costs and outstanding reliability this is the car for you. I had mine for ten years with only normal maintenance. Winding back roads in a Miata are where you will want to be.
