I love my 2018 Mazda CX-5 to absolutely no end! I have a blast driving it, and it is my first car. I have the Touring FWD model, but it does NOT skimp out on features, it has blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, back-up camera, Automatic Emergency Braking, airbags EVERYWHERE, and whole plethora of other safety features. It is very quick, reliable, and fun to drive. My only complaint is there is not much in the way of cabin storage. But it is not a deal breaker, since the trunk of the car has a large cargo area, and lots of room in the spare tire area. It has an amazing Bose speaker system and I was given this car for my birth day at about 30k miles, but it was purchased new. I have FWD (Front wheel drive) but it still does amazing in conditions like rain, and minor snow. It is also the only car from this segment that placed a good rating on the IIHS Crash Test. It is often on par with luxury brands like BMW and Mercedes but having the advantage of being half the cost and Japanese so it lasts forever and also since it's not German, the repairs won't cost a house mortgage. However, if you get a 2018, make sure you get an updated Navigation SD Card. I cannot recommend this car enough, it is perfect in nearly everyway. I am now a loyal Mazda customer, and will always have a Mazda in my garage, I trust them more than any other automaker. Perks: Large backseat (I am 6'1 and can for the most part fit comfortably in the back) Fun to drive Fuel efficient Safety Feature galore Reliable and cheap to maintain Excellent use of space Cons: If I had to choose, not as much cabin storage as I want, but I want more than the average person.

I bought myself a Christmas gift, a new CX5 SignatureTurbo the day after Christmas and I absolutely love it! I don't' know why I didn't get one sooner. I have always been a Toyota, Lexus guy, but I must say this classy vehicle beats the others. Why, let's start with the interior. Mazda makes some of the most beautiful interiors! Exteriors too!! The fit and finish are superb! The CX 5 is extremely quiet and smooth riding, and I can honestly say it is quieter than any Lexus I have had in the past. There is also the fun factor! If you haven't tried a Mazda, you need to. They are a driver's car and fun to drive. The trim level I have has the Bose system and has a beautiful surround sound. Crank up the volume and it's awesome! The safety features are excellent, and everything is conveniently located. There is no need in paying for other Luxury cars when you can get a Mazda and save thousands, and they are the best keep secret out there. Luxury, fun, good looks for much less. I am definitely staying in the Mazda family.

Most reliable car in my 37 years of driving! NO problems. Biggest negative are brakes grabbing at parking lot speeds. Biggest positive 39 mpg average. I had software upgraded and replaced USB module from Walmart for Android auto and Apple carplay

I find this car fun to drive. I belong to a Miata Club and we take rides into the rural areas of NJ where there are many winding roads and this car performs really well.The suspension is a little stiff but you have to expect that in a little sports car. The only complaint is that it could use a little more horsepower, it's about 150 but the newer cars are now 180

Car is perfect for my needs. It is spacious and well designed. 9nly problem is the passenger airbag light activated when passenger seat is empty. Very annoying. You see it every time you look in your rear view mirror. Easy fix a piece of matte black masking tape.

I would recommend this car for a single individual, maybe as a commuter or a teenage driver. I wouldn’t recommend for growing families. Four adults will not fit comfortably, it’s just too small. I wish I would have got the CX-70 but they’re just too expensive.

Mazda is comfortable, I'm in my 70's Reliable, rides great, great on gas. Something that is great on the road, Able to handle, I've handle: M-6 sadan, SUV 5, big enough good room ,and M-cx30 and 3. All long distance traveling. And not high maintenance. Good for all season

I love my CX30. Only a few very minor complaints. The back seat is small. I would only recommend it for small children. Since i'm the only user, it doesn't really apply to me. The car overall is small, which makes it easier to maneuver and more fun to drive than larger CX models. I'm 6'3 tall and have no problem fitting in the driver's seat - plenty of head and leg room. The other complaint is the small gas tank (under 13 gallons). Even though, I don't regret buying my CX30. It's a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend not looking at any trim level lower than premium due to all the options the premium includes. I opted for the non-turbo. It's fast enough without it, and was 3K less.

Carmax has a wide variety of used cars to check out if you are not sure what you want. We found a 2018 Hyundai Sante Fe Sport with less than 8000 miles. Very nice vehicle that is roomy with lots of cool options. My sales agent was very nice, no pressure and we were in and out in less than 15 minutes to sign the paperwork. I would buy from Carmax again!

I feel very very proud when behind the wheel of my 2016 Mazda 6 Sport and driving it on highways! With record 35,650 miles, it drives very smooth and very efficient. It’s reliability and looks is what makes it a perfect car of my taste. Drive one and feel for yourself!

Purchased "preferred" version almost 4 months ago. Nearly 4,000 miles. It is primar=illy my run around vehicle. With the Toyota hybrid system I am averaging 44 MPG. Priced approximately $4,000 less than comparable Toyota RAV4. I am extremely satisfied with the vehicle. I find it comfortable, reliable, true to Mazda driving experience.

Owned the car 5 months. Very happy with interior comfort and the stowing/storage space in the rear. The sound system is impressive. Took a little time to become accustomed to the entertainment system but I just needed experience. Good road handling in the winter. Practically no road noise. I appreciate the lane indicator features. Great small SUV

Just recently purchased a Nissan Kicks at the Independence CarMax, we had previously purchased a Nissan Sentra {about 2 weeks prior) but we found it eventually getting into the vehicle difficult for the age as I am getting older (seventies in my case) the Kicks we have now is a wonderful vehicle. Rick Gross was our salesperson. He did a wonderful job explaining every aspect of our purchase. I am very happy with my purchase. I already owned a 2018 CX-5 and it never gave me any problems so I had no qualms about purchasing another Mazda. I went with the CX-50 Turbo Premium Plus for the horsepower and the extra perks (i.e. automatic folding mirrors, and I like that the side mirrors also turn down to see the curb when parking, front AND rear cameras, panoramic sun/moonroof, speed display in windshield, heated and ventilated cooling seats, and a 12-speaker Bose Stereo system). I love the extra power of the Turbocharged engine that my CX-5 doesn't have. The things I don't care for: 1) the retractable cargo cover (a $250 addl charge) doesn't attack to the lift (like my CX-5 does. It's much more convenient if it's attached so there's no pulling it out each time you need to put something in the trunk; 2) I don't like that I have to turn off the automatic shut off of the engine at stops and that I have to turn it off every time I get in the car. I'd like there to be an option to turn it off indefinitely unless and until I want to turn it on; 3) I would also love it if the driver and front passenger seats raised a bit higher. I'm not short but I would feel more comfortable if the seat height lifted another couple of inches. Overall, I really love my car. The steering is tight and the ride is more comfortable than I expected, and the inside of the cab is quiet and the stereo is premium. The seats are attractive with the light colored stitching to accent the seats. Because of all the features in my model, I got a lot of bang for my buck as opposed to a more expensive car costing $20K more for all the same features with Mazda reliability as well as more reasonable/affordable maintenance costs. I had a BMW several years ago and, once out of warranty, the maintenance is ridiculously costly. Additionally, the service department at the dealership where I purchased my car is top notch and the transparency for maintenance is appreciated! In the last 7 years of owning a Mazda, I have never had a bad experience.

The Salesperson Made an Amazing Car Buying Experience We went to CarMax in Independence to look for a mid-sized SUV with relatively low mileage at a reasonable price, and we found what we were looking for. A 2022 Chevy Equinox with less than 19,000 miles, in great condition and at a price and payment terms that are acceptable and affordable. I have bought a few cars in the past and I always went to “traditional” dealerships to purchase them. This was my first experience with CarMax and I can honestly say that I was blown away by the relaxing and laid back, yes I said relaxing and laid back, car buying experience! No sales pressure, no haggling over price, just a straight up purchase with no hidden or confusing terms or agreements. Everything was laid out on the table. Plain and simple. The salesperson, Austin Hubbard, was a pleasure to work with. We were loyal Subaru owners previously but were forced to look at other car makers when the 2025 forester had problems and recalls. The 2025 Mazda cx-5 was the most similar car, with no recalls or issues. We were pleased with the price and ready availability, made the jump from Subaru and haven't looked back. We owned several Subaru's previously and never had any issues with them - our most recent was fifteen years old. As retirees, the new safety features like the backup screen and warnings for blind spots are terrific. I just hope the Mazda proves to be as problem-free. Also, the Mazda CX-5 was highly rated by our insurance co. and lowered the cost of our insuring our new car.

Awesome gas mileage! Can get 41mpg easily. I chose this over a rav4. I just didn't want to have the same SUV as every other one on the Rd. I love the looks of this vehicle. Interior is way nicer than any rav4 you can buy. I will say that one negative was that I had to replace the front brakes at 10k miles. And it is not my driving! I owned a Honda Accord hybrid previously and the brakes had over 100k on them when I traded it in. I drive this the same way I drove that car and on the same commute. I did hear there was a tsb for the brakes. Rather than make an appt, destroy my rotors waiting to get in, and listen to that awful squealing for another 2 weeks. I just changed the brakes myself. The parts were very inexpensive. The only other annoying thing was that I couldn't get heated steering wheel the top of the line model hybrid... seriously mazda?

Heather was very helpful and kept in contact. There were some bumps in the process because of parts not being available, other than that it was fine. They do need to get more courtesy cars for people to drive that belong to them so people don’t have to do through rental agencies and maybe wash the cars after the service or at least offer a was and a vacuum. I’m sure consumers would love that. Offer a showroom experience.

This cars reliability blows me away, I’ve had it for 4 years now and used to drive from hood river to Portland like twice a week with it, so I threw a good 75k miles, driven very hard on it with zero problems other than regular maintenance. Just had to replace my brakes and serpentine belt at 73k

I looked at alot of suv's! As a mechanic they needed to meet a higher standard. In the price bracket there were only two suv's that I would consider. So I own a Mazda cx-9 Grand touring,it was the best bang for the buck in my opinion for price reliability and comfort. Bought it with .6 miles on it ,it now has 51247 So yes I've had a few issues since new the pass side window motor broke, the blower motor broke and the alt broke 3 times ! So the first two problems I understand and we're cheap to fix the alt was replaced under warranty twice and once by me out of warranty. Living in fl. There's runs of deep puddles and alt is low . I now have a life time warranty on the alt and haven't had a issue since! So I've talked with a few of the mechanic s at the dealership and the main company to start a recall /service bulletin witch would make the dealership install a splash shield by alt so maybe if your reading this the problem has been fix there 2016 models have a splash shield already so if your looking at a newer one your good to go ! I would suggest this suv to everyone . One downfall is the technology in it is older it works great but primitive compared to other suv's of the year I myself preferred this stuff it's easier to us compared to the complected newer ones .

This so now the 2nd, Mazda 3 I've owned, The first being a 2005 hatchback, this one now the 2010 sedan Overall this car is a great car, in both Mazda 3s I've had now, they've had no major mechanical failures and the work has been routine work, owned the 2005 one for just over three years before it got totaled on an accident back in 2021, the car probably still had another 10 years in it, The 2010 one I have now is the 2nd gen Mazda 3 of course, and its a significant upgrade (excluding it being the sedan instead of the hatchback which does negatively impact storage space) The 2010 Mazda 3 here has great handling, is sporty for it's class, and is very fun to drive, but if you're looking for a car that rides smoothly, this car doesn't, it does have rather stuff suspension. The exterior (in my opinion) is a lot better than it was on the previous body style, I get the "big smiling" front end isn't for everyone but I love the look I did briefly mention storage space earlier for the sedan - the storage space is better than other cars in it's class, and the truck is quite big for a vehicle of it's size, but the opening is small and makes it difficult to fit really any big items in, as for the hatchback, it does fix that issue, I was actually able to fit two full sized bikes inside the vehicle (after putting the back seats down) Although this car does have 1 major issue, The dashboard, Mazda made it out of a rubber plastic material, that when left in the sun, melts and creates a shiney sticky mess that can impact your vision with glare, getting a dash cover at least hides it, but to properly fix it, it requires replacement of the entire dashboard, (which Mazda does not have a tsb or warranty for)
