I love it!
I love it! Bought it new in 2020. Grand Touring Reserve with the turbo in Soul Crystal red metallic. I'm currently at 56k miles with zero issues. I do oil changes every 5k miles. Originally I test drove a CRV, RAV4, Forrester, and CX5. I picked the Mazda bc it looks, feels, and drives like a luxury SUV. 320 |b/ft of torque for a compact really gives it the edge over anything else in the class. Four years later and it still feels as solid as the day I bought it. The handling's amazing, and the ride is great! Some people have called the ride firm but I would say it's super compliant. It settles very quickly over bumps without feeling upset. The Bose system sounds "good" but only has bass and treble adjustments with no mid which would make it even better. The ventilated seats work better than in other cars I tested as well. It's also one of the quietest too letting in very little wind and tire noise.

This places is amazing to say the least! Even though I didn’t end up purchasing today due to my situation with my insurance and my car being totaled, I wasn’t treated and differently. Yousuf helped me and went over everything with me including the CARFAX and inspection report. 10/10 would recommend coming here!
Love our Mazdas!
We have owned our 2022 CX-5 Turbo for 10 moths and it is a great vehicle. Our previous SUV was an Acura RDX Advance. It too was great but this Mazda is of a higher quality and $10-$15,000 less when purchased new. Every once in a while the doors don’t lock when I walk away (I have it set up to do so) and that is the only issue I have had in 10 months and 10,000 miles. I highly recommend any Mazda product. We also own a ‘21 Miata RF, have owned several Miatas along with a Mazda6 Signature and a CX-9 Grand Touring. All have been great vehicles.

This car feels very neutral and smooth in corners at any speed. Sometimes, it feels like it's too easy to go too fast in this because the grip is so confidence-inspiring. I have the non-turbocharged model, which has plenty of giddy up to it. I'm not sure if I regret choosing it over a turbocharged variant but there's plenty of power for my needs. The gearing is pretty tall and you need to plant your foot to let it rev out and find the right gear, but doing so is rewarded with a very responsive and surprisingly smooth engine for being a 4 cylinder. I was feathery on the gas at first, so it was underwhelming but I adjusted to the inputs. The car feels plenty sporty and the grip makes cornering feel amazing. The rear suspension is torsion beam and you will notice it on very poor roads, but everyday driving on decent roads feels super refined, quiet and grip is not affected by this suspension arrangement. I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm 6'3" and fit pretty comfortably in the car even with the sunroof right above me. I've been in cars with more front legroom and have been less comfortable than I am in this car. Seat bolstering could be an issue for those with wider shoulders. I'm someone who loves a low driving position, so this car is a godsend in a world of soulless, blobby SUVs. I think this is the best all-around compact car you can get.

Bought a used car and was treated like I was buying one
Bought a used car and was treated like I was buying one off the show room floor. Great experience. Making my wife get a Mercedes for her next car because of how well I was treated.
First car, perfect car.
I love my 2018 Mazda CX-5 to absolutely no end! I have a blast driving it, and it is my first car. I have the Touring FWD model, but it does NOT skimp out on features, it has blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, back-up camera, Automatic Emergency Braking, airbags EVERYWHERE, and whole plethora of other safety features. It is very quick, reliable, and fun to drive. My only complaint is there is not much in the way of cabin storage. But it is not a deal breaker, since the trunk of the car has a large cargo area, and lots of room in the spare tire area. It has an amazing Bose speaker system and I was given this car for my birth day at about 30k miles, but it was purchased new. I have FWD (Front wheel drive) but it still does amazing in conditions like rain, and minor snow. It is also the only car from this segment that placed a good rating on the IIHS Crash Test. It is often on par with luxury brands like BMW and Mercedes but having the advantage of being half the cost and Japanese so it lasts forever and also since it's not German, the repairs won't cost a house mortgage. However, if you get a 2018, make sure you get an updated Navigation SD Card. I cannot recommend this car enough, it is perfect in nearly everyway. I am now a loyal Mazda customer, and will always have a Mazda in my garage, I trust them more than any other automaker. Perks: Large backseat (I am 6'1 and can for the most part fit comfortably in the back) Fun to drive Fuel efficient Safety Feature galore Reliable and cheap to maintain Excellent use of space Cons: If I had to choose, not as much cabin storage as I want, but I want more than the average person.

Escalade ESV Platinum
The overall experience was fine but I was just not used to this business model. I bought a $70,000 used vehicle and after having dealt with the Land Rover and Mercedes dealerships for years, the customer service at CarMax is just not up to their level. But I guess that was how I paid $2500 - $5,000 less than what other dealers were charging for the same car.
I really like it but I want to love it
Purchased a 2021 sedan premium plus turbo AWD in 2022 with 11,000 miles. THE BAD: At 17,000 miles I discovered the front end would wobble when I applied the brakes. I was told by the dealer that I needed front and rear rotors and that the cost would be $1,000. When I asked why I needed brakes at only 17K miles I was told it was because the rotors must have gotten wet when I drove through a puddle when they were hot. Really? He obviously thought I was an idiot. It ended up costing me $600 to have a local shop do the work including an upgrade on the quality of the original factory rotors and pads. At 29,000 miles the car left me stranded in a parking lot when the battery died. A replacement battery cost me $280. At 30,000 miles the original manufacturer tires were badly worn and needed to be replaced (and yes I rotate them in fact EVERY oil change as opposed to every other). I purchased 4 Michelin tires which cost me $1,200. Also at 30K miles a rock came up from the road and cracked my windshield causing me to spend my deductible to have it fixed ($500). Nobody's fault I understand, just one more expense with so few miles.I have also noticed that I often get a "safety and driver support systems temporarily disabled" notice. It seems to be random but is annoying nonetheless. Shouldn't be happening at 32K miles. At 29K miles I apparently hit a pothole and the front rim was badly bent. The cost to straighten the rim was $140. The lane departure safety feature is annoying. Every time I even begin to leave my lane it violently pulls me back. Even when I need to go around an object in the road it pulls me back. Also, the tone associated with lane departure only works when it fells like it which is probably a good thing. Another issue is that it takes forever for the interior to get warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The car needs to warm up for at least 15 minutes before the temperature gets where I need it to be. The problem with that is that when using the remote start through the Mazda App, it only allows the car to run for 10 minutes. Also, you can't make any adjustments to the temperature from the app. ... THE GOOD: This vehicle is a blast to drive! It sounds great and it has plenty of power and I am still in love with the exterior appearence. The interior is done so well and as YouTube car reviewers say, "it's a great place to be". It has every option I would every want except for wireless Apple car play. It handles great and the AWD seems to work really well in slippery conditions. Currently I am at a crossroads. Do I sell my Mazda3 while the value is still high and get something else or do I keep it and hope nothing else goes wrong? I really like the car but I want to love it. One issue is the fact that when I purchased it I got 2.9% financing. I would be lucky to get 6.9% with todays rates. Also, if I sold it what the xxxx would I buy that has all of these features, a turbo engine and AWD that wouldn't cost me $35-$45K?!

A great car - again
This is my second CX-5. This first was a 2016 I bought in 2019 and loved tremendously and then it was totaled when I was rear-ended by someone texting and driving during Covid. I drove a sort of hand-me-down Jeep for a while during the weird Covid period when everything was uncertain but knew I wanted another CX-5 as soon as I felt financially comfortable. The car is extremely comfortable, handles well and has a beautiful streamlined and simply classic look. My partner who is a die-hard Mercedes snob even loves it!

My spouse and I had been thinking about retiring our 2015
My spouse and I had been thinking about retiring our 2015 Acura TLX, and had recently begun looking into battery electric vehicles (BEVs) for a number of reasons. The Acura was a fantastic driver's car, but it was heavy, had a big thirsty V6, and was starting to show its age. We knew the federal tax credit for buying or leasing a BEV was going to expire at the end of September, so we began to explore more seriously the idea of replacing the ICE Acura with a like-for-like BEV. Turns out there is not really a like-for-like BEV for the sedan body style; American preferences in the last ten years have gone all in on SUVs/CUVs and there are very few BEV sedans on the American market. After considerable research, which involved eliminating body styles and manufacturers we didn't like, we ended up with two potential vehicles that met our criteria. One of them was the BMW i4, which reviews have noted is a great choice to test the waters of the BEV landscape without feeling like you've stepped into a spaceship. After looking at local inventory, I reached out to Grant Anderson at South Austin BMW for a test drive request. We test drove a 2025 certified pre-owned (CPO) i4, and enjoyed everything that a BEV sedan has to offer: near-instant acceleration, quiet interior, and excellent handling characteristics. The i4 is basically a 3-series Gran Coupe with the gasoline engine removed and a battery and electric motor put in its place, and really does feel like an ICE vehicle (which was an important consideration for us). Grant was a consummate sales adviser, much more than a traditional salesperson. It is very clear he cares deeply not just about the brand and the particular vehicles he is showcasing, but also about the customer experience. He is friendly and engaging, in a way that immediately endeared him to both of us. He spoke about the vehicle in ways that implied he knew it beyond the spec sheet, which I appreciate. He also didn't push anything, from the vehicle itself to the means of purchasing it, which was even more appreciated and a big reason why the vehicle is now in the garage at home. Grant explained (patiently) why leasing an EV, especially our first EV, might be the better way to go, and when we were hesitant, spent even more time working through the pros and cons of both leasing or cash purchase. He was logical in his arguments, but also clearly passionate about wanting us to have the best experience possible while we have the vehicle in our possession. In the end, he did his job with professionalism, courtesy, friendliness and panache. It's always stressful purchasing a vehicle, but Grant made it almost enjoyable. I've definitely enjoyed chatting with him, both in the purchase process and subsequent follow-ups, and I look forward to a continued positive relationship in the years to come. The overall experience at BMW South Austin was very positive, from the initial meet-and-greet to the test drive, to the negotiation on the price and the finalization of the deal with the finance team (shout out to Heidi for doing a tough job very well and so pleasantly). We're pleased with our decision, and happy with Grant and the folks at South Austin BMW for helping us make it.
Fabulous car.

It was a good experience.
It was a good experience. One thing I wish dealerships would get better at is honestly up front. It worked out well because I loved the vehicle I bought but it wasn?t the vehicle I went to see. I understand that internet sales people can be immediately responsive, but they also aren?t on site or have a true picture of inventory. I stopped talking to them when I realized they didn?t have a clue. Fat forward, Hunter was great, not pushy and understood the assignment. David in finance was great too, and I walked out with the car I didn?t know I wanted and the deal I needed.
Car is perfect for my needs.

Fun to drive, problem free, looks beautiful!
I bought my 2017 Mazda 6 Touring new, and have absolutely loved the car. It looks amazing, the interior feels like a much more expensive car. It's also fun to drive- agile, smooth, athletic. It's not a "fast" car per se, but it's fast enough, and has great chassis dynamics. It has been bulletproof, not a single issue with it. Gas mileage is quite good, too. The only criticism I have is that the original tires were too noisy. I switched to Michelin Pilot Sport 4 season, and they are much better.

Other than an error code that was fixed about a month after purchase. The CX-50 has been a pleasure to drive. Very responsive and once you get used to the safety feature built into the cruise control that is fine as well. It will slow down automatically when approaching a slower moving vehicle. If you change to passing lane it will then speed up until set speed or you approach another vehicle. Gas mileage is 24 city and it seems like 28 to 30 highway. Not actually calculated that but miles oer tank increases. Love the car but for me back seats seem to sit too straight. Not sure if they can recline or not.
