Used Mercedes-Benz GL-Class SUVs for sale near Fords, NJ

We have owned our 2015 for two years now - got her used from a family member with about 55k miles. The car is comfortable, fast, huge, and gets great mileage for its size and weight - about 21mpg with a mix of city of highway miles and I'm shocked by that. This is the year they put the 3.0 liter twin turbo V6 in the GL450 - not sure what other years they did, but I highly recommend this engine. V6's are often marketed as having V8 power when they really don't, but this one absolutely has V8 power. It even sounds like a V8. You can certainly feel the car's heft on turns in country roads, but it weighs basically 3 tons fully loaded. It feels very safe and is super quiet inside - build quality is superb. It feels like a fast, luxury tank. I love it and I'm going to drive it as long as I possibly can.

Bought it used 7years ago. now 200k miles still going strong. love the car!! I owe sprinter with same motor and 600k+miles on it. If you maintain them- they will last for ever.

This is my 3rd Mercedes Benz...S550...GL450...SKL 350...The GL 450 is a great full size luxury SUV with a extraordinary smooth ride and great electronics...Great for transporting 6 passengers comfortably.

I am putting 4 grand into my GL450 to replace brakes and power steering. Car has been awesome once you get a good mechanic. Btw its used so I'm not making payments. $400/month maintenance. Not bad. It goes well but they all need airshocks redone.

A year later - chassis fine, only changed oil once. So there are no complaints, and that's great.

The 2015 GL550 turbo is off the rails. Push the sport mode button and some kind of witchcraft happens. It is a fast, comfortable brute that puts many 2023 SUVs to shame. Highway, no problem, B roads, no problem, snow, no problem, heavy rain, no problem. It does it all. Mine was 110K new. I picked mine up used for 40 with 35K on the clock. I use mine like an SUV. We hunt, fish, and put the dogs in the back. It does it all. Do not take your Merc to the dealer. Some folks specialize in Merc and will do your routine maintenance for thousands less. Yes, thousands less. Some of which you can do yourself. I'm on a Mercedes forum. Folks help you with countless features. The Germans know what they are doing.

11.8 liters on 100km on highway. No chances to modify to reduce fuel consumption. My Audi A8 Long is more comfortable, smooth driving, cluster panel easier to understand. More luxury. The GL has no spaces behind front seats. No luxury in the back.

They were kind food was laid out for the customer to eat while they were filling out the paperwork for the car they picked out and I happen to pick out a nice fiat world class vehicle when I tell you it look better than the picture that I saw on the Internet I’m so glad I picked these guys to purchase a car from. They made it easy, not pushy, and all has smiles on their face and to tell you how good they are. I almost left in a Porsche instead of what I came for, but I kept my eyes in a prize, and we all laughed about it. If you’re gonna buy a car, don’t go anywhere else. Buy it from them. In response to mikes review from yesterday , I just want to make it clear that this person wrote the review out of the for the simple reason that they did not get the answer they wanted. No one was rude or condescending. They were told about the companies policy, which is not to give out the door pricing over the phone because although we may agree in pricing , the customer may find something wrong or may simply not like the vehicle in person . This leaves both the salesperson and customer disappointed . Hence why they were told that once they come in , visually inspect the car, test drive and see if it’s to their liking then we can sit down and discuss numbers. For some was so ready to buy two cars and have a check ready they were awfully concerned with numbers beforehand . Mind you, the price is always negotiable within reason. What was rude was the fact that when they were told about the policy they said “ Well you’re not getting any business from me !” And hung up … that part was conveniently omitted from the review. It has it all. Luxury, astounding diesel MPG (real world 23mpg mixed/30+mpg on the highway) and torque. Three row seating. Video screens DVD for back seat. It has been super reliable and not crazy expensive to maintain. Somehow the 2009 has a look that looks like much later models.

Owned a newer 2014 S-Class, but we could never get two golf bags in the trunk. It was a beautiful and lots of technology but needed more cargo volume. Bought a 2015 GL450 pre-owned from the local Mercedes dealership. The newer GLS is more expensive and feels less solidly built and tons of electronics that can go wrong. Overall, I am happy with the comfort and utility of this SUV. We took it on a couple road trips in its first year. I have distronic plus radar cruise control and didn't know that it also helps automatically stop to avoid a collision. Some crazy driver stopped in the middle of a highway trying to get into a left lane and I would have rear ended them if I didn't have the radar with the active brake assist. The comand navigation screen is smaller than on the newer ones and the night time backup view is too dark. I've had some glitchy performance with the Comand system, but it's a 7 year old SUV, but it's somewhat to be expected. Overall, great SUV to live with for at least the next 5-10 years before everything goes electric.
