Used Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 Base for sale near Apache Junction, AZ

Great car, terrible dealers and maintenance costs. I have had two GLA vehicles, a 2016 GLA45 AMG and this one a 2018 GLA 250 AWD. I have a love-hate relationship. The car itself is really enjoyable and the 208hp dual clutch drive train is nearly perfect in my mind for sporty but efficient driving. It has good acceleration, little to no lag and I can consistently hit the high 30’s for mileage in the mountains of Colorado. I have gotten 38mpg over a 250 mile trip. It is mid 20’s around town which is good because you need premium gas. The storage areas are small-ish and funky but doable and has two USB ports in the center console with no grooves for the cables but they will pass through. I recommend blind spot detection as a must because the side mirrors have a large blind spot you cannot dial out. The car runs very smoothly, absorbs bumps well and decent sound proofing for this size. The power lift gates, keyless doors on all four doors just touching the handles is perhaps my favorite comfort feature. It drives like a car so if you like high SUV seating positions this is not for you. Air works great, electronics are kind of odd for 2018 so having Apple Car Play is a must in my mind if you are buying used. I really love the car for it’s details, lovely interior and performance and can recommend it to others based on those things. The huge negative for Mercedes is they are hands down the worst dealerships and I interacted with three. They do all the classic dealer tricks and the maintenance costs on a car running perfectly fine will make you bleed. An A service (odd years) was $933.00 and they wisely will not tell you that till you show up. Shop around as another dealer was only about 60% of that. I just replaced a dead battery today and it was $639.00 and done in less than an hour. I would go to an independent shop for half price maintenance unless a warranty item (I have extended/CPO). In the end this makes me give up on Mercedes. Cars are wonderfully engineered and truly enjoyable and look great but dealers and everything associated suck. Yeah, I know there are probably good ones and if you don’t mind a siphon in your wallet and typical dealer tricks then you will love them and they will love you. So, 100% recommend the car and a 100% thumbs down on the dealers. Research yours carefully and if good or if you can go to an independent then jump on the car if you like sporty, elegant and fun.

CarMax is much smoother than any other car buying experience you will ever find. Their salesman Matthew Johnson is a great guy. He was very patient and helped me find the perfect car after I spent months researching. He really knew what he was doing and gave me a wonderful experience. I would recommend CarMax to anyone!

I have driven only American cars since 2006, they normally come with lots of bells and whistles, so it was funny to see an ash tray and CD player in the vehicle. I like the way the car handles. It is smooth to drive and comfortable. Not too big and not too small.

Talked with Jerry (internet manager) worked out a deal over the phone. Drove 3 hours to Dealership. Thomas showed us 4 or 5 cars all were clean and excellent shape. we picked one, test drove it....Ran Great....Eric did the paperwork and we were on the Road home. It was a Great place to buy a car and best of all they stand by what they say. Also pet friendly. Thanks

Very smooth drive ! Definitely makes you feel like your in total control comfortably as well as confidently! I had downsized from a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited edition, & I’m not disappointed at all ! The handle on this vehicle is amazing! It really makes you feel safe while driving! If you are reading this review you, most likely are doing the same as I was a few weeks ago. I apologize in advance for the length of my review. But feel it is important and no, neither me or my daughter are associated with any dealership in this review except as a buyer. My oldest daughter was looking for a quality smaller ( my words not hers) suv. We looked at many pictures and read many articles, looked at specs, features and reviews she settled on 3 models by 3 different manufacturers. Next step was to physically sit in and drive all 3. We eliminated the first and went to the 2nd dealer. The salesperson at second dealership didn’t know their inventory. Sales actually said he didn’t think they had the model my daughter wanted to test drive. We pointed out two on the property and their reply was, “I thought that one was sold and I forgot about that one? I will go see if I can get keys?” His knowledge seemed very limited. He didn’t ask many questions. We like the car however, we did not feel comfortable with this dealership. On to the 3rd dealership. We asked the salesperson if they had a specific model in stock? Their reply was “we only have one” We said great, can we test drive it? next question was….Are you serious about buying one because I have to get it out of the showroom?” After hearing those words I wanted to just leave but my daughter wanted to sit in it and drive this specific model as we came from Tempe and Gilbert. My daughter opened her little purse, whipped out a business card from the dealership across the street said “well….. it’s between your model and a model across the street” the salesperson got the car but would not allow us to take it on the freeway. We wanted to evaluate freeway noise. The salesperson never asked our names and had limited small talk and told my daughter about 2 option on this specific model. The model was not the right fit but part of that could be the representation. Perhaps the last 2 dealerships felt as if my daughter wasn’t a true buyer, however, if that was the case they could of asked a few simple qualifying questions and perhaps make a judgment but they didn’t. This leads me to Mercedes Benz of Gilbert. My daughter wanted me to look at some specific versions of the model she wanted. She talked to a lady named Felice. Felice actually returned my daughters call listened to my daughters wants, needs and desires and made suggestions and my daughter made a appointment for a Friday.To meet withFelice. She was by far the most knowledgeable of all the sales advisers we had met. She asked questions to make sure we all were on the same page. I for one appreciate this as I do not like wasting my time going in a wrong direction, especially on a Friday. Felice was not only knowledgeable but appeared to be friendly and sincere. We found the car that spoke to my daughter ( her words). Felice asked good qualifying questions of which my daughter had no problem or hesitation answering. We came to a meeting of the minds. I have bought more cars than I can remember, of very different varieties but I need to say, so far this was a feel good comfortable buy. Next step was paper work, ok.. I honestly thought this was going to be where the deal could go sideways, we went to the office of a man named Claudio. He explained different option my daughter could purchase or not. He explained in a no nonsense way. Some absolutely made sense others not so much for this specific Mercedes Benz. He wasn’t pushy or arrogant he simply explained the features and benefits of the options. I have walked out more than once at this stage especially when I was young and I would need financing. But everything we were told by Felice was said by Claudio. In summary this is a well organized, friendly business one I will highly recommend to my family and friends Great experience!

Having never owned a Mercedes-Benz before, I really had no idea what to expect. I am pleased to announce that, while having only owned it for two days, I am completely in love with this little SUV. Some of the controls are a little quirky compared to the 2020 Lincoln Corsair that preceded it, but I'm learning quickly and feeling more comfortable and confident with every mile!

I ordered my Brand new GLA 250 4 M. OMG. I am very happy and very satisfied. The SUV runs very smooth the quality is very very good. When you close the door, you can feel it. Great quality everything is Great. When I'm driving wowie I feel like I'm flying in the airplane. No bumps. I am happy with my purchased. Even I waited for 6 months because of chips shortage. Smoothest ride ever. You feel safe in this car and your overall visibility is great. Saved on gas already and interior is great and seats are very comfy Mercedes app gives you a chance to start engine from a distance snd reminds you to lock car if you forget. Verbal commands to Mercedes makes calling folks if changing stations real easy

Just got the 2023 gla 250 4matic. It’s good looking inside and out and drives very well, comfortable and sporty in perfect combination. My only knock would be the front seats seem a little small. You have to do a lot of option thinking to get exactly what you want and are willing to pay for but otherwise a good value.

Monday Early Bird - no appointment - for a Sprinter van electronic issue. Extremely courteous staff and a huge thank you to Service Advisor Bill Stamper. While waiting the dealership offered no charge access to their cafe! The cafe has huge TV screens which keep you advised of your service progress. My van was repaired by 10:30! I only wish my home Dealer was this big to take care if our Mercedes’ but, its a small town. Overall Mercedes-Chandler is a “Home Run” business! 😎 If only they had a G Wagon to test drive while waiting. 🤠
