This car should be classified as an “exotic”. The S550 Coupe is by far the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Well, our 2008 S63 AMG was a monster, but very heavy. The ride is harsher than expected over rough roads, but it isn’t close to a deal killer. The interior is perfect, but the controls were clunky at first….until you get used to it.

60,000 miles and 9 years now having some issues. Front differential leak, driver active multi contour seat repair, coolant return hose small leak not major. I’ve test driven a number of other luxury flagships and still find the W-221 S Class to be more comfortable and road worthy. Local independent shop provides excellent service at a significant savings from MB dealership. Still love this car and do not regret purchasing even tho repair and maintenance costs are high!

I have owned the car since new. It has been very reliable, extremely comfortable, beautiful and a joy to drive. I strongly recommend it for anyone. I was t-boned by a large pickup truck who ran a red light. The car saved our lives.

Amazing vehicle, but only buy new if you want the S63, the Maybach, or your just really rich, if not, then just wait 5 years, and get it for 70 grand! The value is so low because you can just wait for it to depreciate like crazy. But overall, this is an awesome car.

This car is not for the iPad generation but for people who appreciate the Vacuum Tubes HIFI system when listening to music. The initial cost is low (value for money) but it is like buying a yacht. You need to afford ongoing maintenance costs then it rewards you. Your mechanic must realize that his/her most important job servicing S Class is to constantly strive for the lowest possible car noise/sound background. Externally and internally. New tires, new pulleys, new brake pads/rotors, brake pads not touching rotors it all generates sound. When all parts generating sound are taken care of the car is ready for the symphony.

I visited Action Automotive last weekend to check out a 2019 Lincoln MKZ. The experience was, hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at a dealership in 30 years of buying cars. Communication was great, both before the visit and after the purchase. My daughter knew exactly what she wanted, but there was a selection of other luxury cars that all appeared to be in the same great condition as the one we bought. Even better, we able to do the test drive and complete the purchase in about 2 hours, which was definitely a record for me! I just picked up my S580 Lux-Line in Emerald Green over Sienna Brown, and I am absolutely thrilled with the purchase. I have owned five S-Class models since 2010, including this new one, and I can say this is the best iteration yet from an overall perspective. While I still think the W222 was the best-looking (especially my 2019 S560 with the refreshed look and AMG pack), this new one does not disappoint at all. The Emerald Green is stunning in the sunlight, my favorite color yet. And the interior is on another level from a luxury and tech standpoint. I loved the interiors of all the S-Class models I've owned, but this current one is my favorite. The seats are super supportive, and the vast amount of tech is amazing. The new infotainment screen takes time to learn and get used to, but I feel the "Hey, Mercedes" function makes doing small things like putting in a Navigation request easier than going through the main screen. From a driving perspective, the ride is the best yet, just like gliding on a cloud. I've been lucky to have driven Bentley's and Rolls-Royce's in my lifetime, and this ride is as close as I've seen the S-Class come to being even with those vehicles on this front. And, the V8 is plenty punchy when needed, so it can be a fun vehicle to take on windy roads if you so desire. Overall, a wonderful vehicle and a bargain when you compare it to the other super-luxury vehicles on sale. I'm looking forward to the next few years of owning such an awesome car.
