I bought this one.
I bought this one. I've had two prior 1 the Dodger Stealth was the 3000GT without the Mitsubishi Logo, but it was on the interior and windshield. The second was a 3000GT. The Dodge was a 5 speed, the Mitsubishi was an automatic. The Dodge was a 24V dual overhead cam, the Mitsubishi was the standard engine. Both cars were excellent as far as handling and comfort. Only one mechanical issue and that was the water pump in the Dodge.

I am a single mom who brought my kid in to buy his first
I am a single mom who brought my kid in to buy his first car. The gentlemen were helpful, friendly, and never condescending or patronizing. My sales associate Sam was quick, accommodating, and no hint of sleaze. Financing was a breeze with John. Again, never talked down to or felt under pressure. Such a pleasant experience. If all used car guys were like these guys, they'd have a much better reputation!
Love them ! Still

Great experience overall.
Great experience overall. Bismarck the sales guy was very nice and made the buying experience a good one. Will recommend this dealership.
its turning into a classic
I got my VR-4 about 10 years ago. I love the thing, but it does have its share of issues. The weak transmission and the lifter ticker are probably the 2 biggest issues with the car. Also when the drive train was designed I think they did not care about the people who will have to service the car down the road. The exterior styling is great, especially because the car is about 17 years old and still looks modern. The rear quarters tend to get rust, I have seen it on mine, and noticed it on many others. Except for that the body is solid. The interior is ahead of its time, not to great by current standards but in 1995 I am sure it was probably rivaling the Bentley and other high end vehicles. The rear seats are pretty much useless, the hatchback makes the trunk fairly large. Performance is great, the twin turbos and AWD set this car apart from anything that was on the road back then. I can still keep up with the current mustangs but you can start to feel the difference 15 years or technology makes when you go up against the new camaro or a modified mustang. Overall I love the car, its fast and fun. The AWD keeps the car tight on turns and gives the driver the extra control that you do not have in traditional RWD sports cars. Just have some money set aside if you are thinking about getting this car, it does have issues that can be expensive to fix, also it doesn't help the car is becoming rare and rare usually means expensive hard to find parts....

I bought my car to import it to Argentina, and honestly, the whole process was a complete success! They helped me with everything it was much easier than I expected. I truly recommend them! The process was fast, clear, and I’m very happy with my vehicle. This is the first of many more cars I plan to import!
Still cool after all these years
Second owner, older brother bought it new. Expensive to repair but seems to not need many repairs. Body is still tight (1992) needs front strut, vacuum leak but I love this car. Mine is Pearl White w/black leather interior. Still turns head. And oh yea, has a great rumble in the exhaust. She is not fast but easily gets out of its way. Great Freeway ride.

I am beyond pleased and impressed with this dealership.
I am beyond pleased and impressed with this dealership. Working with Rami and his team was easy, efficient, and professional. I used my own credit union for my financing and even they said what a pleasure it was working with Rami and Diamond and just how thorough and on top of things they were. I had never shipped a car out of state before and this was also my first Porsche and I’m sure I wasn’t the easiest to deal with at times, not on purpose of course, but just because it was such a new experience. I felt very taken care of and accommodated with everything I needed. Great communication and very fair. I can’t say enough good things! Very very happy and this dealer is top notch with quality of cars also - immaculate cars and care of them. My transport company even commented how nice this dealership is. We will be back for sure ! Thank you!!!
Funnest car I've ever owned
Had to put a tranny in it at 100K, really designed as a grand touring car, aka high speed endurance racing which is why 3rd on the five speed does 128mph. I have sustained 165mph in this car and still had more power but could not keep in one lane. Over all it is not an s2000 type sports car, and really is better on a freeway than a city street. If you have a long drive and want a sports car this is a good choice.

Here is a review of my start to finish process of buying
Here is a review of my start to finish process of buying a car from Gateway Classic Cars, Ft. Lauderdale: ----- 1. The sales people who you work with are not on site. They're working remote so they don't have eyes on the car. ---- So, 2. You'll want to be connected with someone on site who can start and drive the car, provide a walkaround video, pictures of whatever you want and give their input. I worked with Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location for my purchase and he was outstanding with helping me to know the car before making an offer. He is the reason that this is a 5 star review. -------- 3. Hauling: They'll get you a quote for hauling the vehicle. I chose Nexus Transport myself to use. They were a bit cheaper and top rated by Forbes. That went just fine. --------- 4. These cars are all on consignment. So, I feel that you have to be a little more careful because you have another party who may not have disclosed things to Gateway. Best practice is to get a pre-buy done from someone like Lemon Squad. That being said, I was so comfortable with my deal, took the risk and waived the pre-buy. And in my case, the Prowler is a mint gem and I have no concerns after receiving it. Also, there is a common thought then you buy a car like this, you should budget 10% or so of the price for maintenance right after you get the car because stuff always comes up, otherwise, don't buy a used car. --------5. Since they're on consignment, they have commissions they charge the seller. As a buyer, I don't care if I see a commissions line on the purchase agreement. As long as my out the door number was what I offered, that's fine. --------6. I wired money to them and within a few hours, I had all the fully executed paperwork back in my hands. Title took about 3 weeks to receive by UPS. And the folder had everything I needed to register the car in my state. Wow! Thank you Barbara! ------ 7. So here is what breeds loyalty. Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location made sure the car was completely ready to be picked up including accessories that were bubble wrapped. The car was supposed to be picked up at Noon on Saturday, plenty of time before they closed at 5pm. He stayed until the truck arrived...very late....AT 1:30am Sunday morning!!!! (Otherwise, it would have sat until Tuesday). I cannot believe he did that for me. I received my car loading video at 2am. That's unbelievable service that deserves more than 5 stars. ------- Summary: I'd have zero issues with buying from Gateway again....they just operate in a different dealership style than what I'm used to, which is just fine.
VR-4 is amazing
I wanted a VR-4 for years and finally bought one when I found one at a dealership a reasonable distance away. I have never owned a really nice car before, and the experience of people staring and honking when you drive by is pretty awesome. Even 18+ years later this car still draws attention, and it?s completely stock! As if it wasn?t enough to drive a ?looker,? the performance is also amazing. This is such a fun car to drive. The turbos kick in like you?ve been rear ended around 2,000 RPM and you are on the brakes to avoid a ticket before you know it. The all wheel drive means not an ounce of power is wasted in this car. The vehicle has so much rubber on the road that I have yet to make the tires squeal. Styling: check. Performance: check. Comfort? Check! Unlike most sports cars, this vehicle has both sporty handling and a sedan like cruising experience. The ECS (electronically controlled suspension) and large wheels give a vehicle a very smooth ride over rough pavement. The seats in this car are very comfortable, and highly adjustable. In general I hate leather upholstery, but because the seats are well ventilated you don?t end up glued to the seat. The automatic climate control functions admirably and makes you forget that there is weather outside the car. The community surrounding this car is phenomenal as well. Any questions I have had about this car were easily solved by browsing forums and asking other enthusiasts. There are even step by step illustrated guides for rebuilding the transmission! Overall, it is the dream car I always hoped it would be. I couldn?t be more pleased. I plan to drive this car `til the day I die!

Was helpful,No pressure on buying Very great place and Staff was wonderful thanks Guys
Most fun car I've owned.
I have a 1991 VR4 and love it. It is by far the most comfortable car for any size and weight person. The seats really are great for long trips. The accessories are limitless: Electronic suspension, ABS, SRS, AWS, AWD, Active Areo, Active Exhaust, front and rear wipers with cleaners, dual intercoolers, oil cooler, plenty of gauges. These cars are fairly competitively priced today and as long as you can find an unabused one they are reliable as any other Japanese car from its era. They deliver a lot of power and control despite its curb weight and is a true luxary grant touring car. The interior is begging a bit outdated but the exterior design is still quite modern, and the engine has plenty of bells and whistles itself with variable oiling and a 0-60 time of around 5 seconds. The 5 speed is by far my favorite with a tall first, second, and third.

After my 2007 Ford Mustang GT was totalled I started
After my 2007 Ford Mustang GT was totalled I started looking at some of my childhood dream cars. I always liked the Mitsubishi 3000GT Twin-Turbo and it was in my price range. They are rare and I wanted a nice example. I found a one owner Panama Green 1996 3000GT VR-4, all maintenance records and owned by an old surgeon. They say don't meet your heros but the VR-4 is modern day fast - it made my '07 Mustang GT feel slow and beat a friends 1991 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo with bald tires and a bad launch. In stock form it'll do 0-60 in 4.8-5.0s and the 1/4m in 13.3-13.6@101-105mph. I was sold on it the moment the twin turbos kicked in, the swell of power is enormous, not to mention the g force when launched from a stop. I put a K&N filter in mine, ran consistent 13.3-13.5@102-104mph bone stock besides that. Very impressive considering some of today's hot hatches run similar numbers in the 2020s. Due to the Active Aero system that my 1996 VR-4 had (1997-1999 models don't have it) it felt like 100mph was 60mph. I got it up to 145mph and it still had some pull. It is alive on long sweepers, put it through tight corners and it will comply with nose heavy characteristics. More fun in a straight line. Comfort wise the seats were amazing and held you in place. It's definitely a GT car and is meant to go long distances in comfort in all weather conditions and it does that perfectly. The back seats are harsh for anyone tall but no complaints from shorter people. Reliability: These cars take care of you if you take care of them. I had minimal issues but I made sure to find a specialist who only worked on Mitsubishi and specialized in 3000GTs. Had an idiot valet driver break reverse, luckily it was an easy $200 fix. I had the 60k maintenance service done and had my mechanic fix anything wrong with it. I've owned many cars and the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is one I keep coming back to. Beautiful, fast and rare.

MOST UNDERRATED 90'S JAPANESE SPORTS CAR!
I've owned my 95 pearl white VR-4 for 8 years now and it's been a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows. This car is not for the faint of heart. You have to love this car enough not to flinch when the $5000 repair bill comes in. They are expensive to maintain! And maintain them you must of you want to avoid catastrophic failures. These cars were packed with all the latest technology of the day: Twin cam, twin turbo, twin intercooler, V6. AWD, All wheel steering, 6 speed manual, 320hp, active aero, automatic climate control with an animated, full color LCD display, power seat, leather....the list goes on. All this stuff is fantastic when working, but after 20 years there is a good chance a lot of this stuff can break down. The main mechanical issues are spun rod bearings from oil starvation due to a dented oil pan. So check that before you buy. Also the transmission synchros tend to wear out quickly. That aside, it's an absolute blast to drive! It is the most underrated sports car to come out of Japan in the 90s. With the small turbos that boost at 2000 rpm and the awd, this car rockets off the line! You do start to feel the 3,700 lb weight of the thing at higher speeds. Handling is fantastic for a car this heavy! It has predictable understeer when pushed to the limits, but the awd and aws provides unyielding grip on the corners. The styling is unique with a coke bottle like silhouette and air scoops in the front and on the side rocker panels. Is has a lot of unusual styling ques, fake plastic rear quarter windows displaying a twin turbo sticker were used to cover the large B pillars. The scoops in the side rocker panels and the rear splitter are fake. Also there are 2 blisters on the hood that were needed to clear the shock towers. It's almost like the engineering and design teams missed all their pre production meetings and ended up just tacking this stuff on as an afterthought. The result is a busy design, but it works and makes for an eye catching exterior. The car is over 6ft wide and has a very aggressive stance. The cockpit is pure luxury with supple gathered leather seats and door cards. The soft, sculpted plastic surrounds the driver and and passenger as the doors melt seamlessly into the very high dash. There is a large arching binnacle carved in front of the driver which houses giant, easy to read gauges. To the right, the dash curves in towards the driver and 3 smaller binnacles house gauges that point towards the driver like a triple gauge shotgun. The centerpiece of the sculpture is most beautiful auto climate control screen you will ever see. The full color lcd display is large and bright with animated effects for the different zones. The stock infinity radio provides crisp sound and even has an equalizer. My only complaint is the buttons are scattered randomly about the cabin and some are out of site and hard to reach behind the steering wheel. The 6 speed shifts are short but not very crisp. This can be remedied by replacing the bushings with solid brass and installing a short shifter. This has become a very rare Japanese gem so get one before prices start to climb. Also spend the extra money to get a clean, low mileage example like I did, you'll thank me later!
