I do a lot of research on cars before purchasing and bought this for a song needing a little cosmetic TLC. Having owned two Volvos, can confirm that the 500 has a similar feel to the S80 and XC90 as claimed. Overall this car is an amazing package with around 30 mpg on hwy & low 20's in town. The six-speed FWD SEL has a motor that pours and the transmission is smooth as silk. For the Euro lovers squint a little bit and you'll see a Passat coming down the road. For the SUV fans, this rides like an Explorer (also owned prior) and at 6 ft 4 in and 240 lb this car still swallows me up. It's definitely a stylish land yacht with nimble moves. Surprisingly the 500 is jockying for top position as my favorite ever

This car meets all my needs. Handles very well, is good on gas, pick up is zippy and very responsive and stylish. Based on this car, I would definitely buy another Mini.

It's got 233,000 miles and all I do is fill it with gas, check the tire air pressure, and add a quart of oil once a month, the owners manual states that it burns a quart of oil every 600 miles, so its normal no problem. Its fun, easy to drive, handles great, and has plenty of power. If it ever dies, I will buy another one.

I just baught a 2005 ML500 from a gambling buddy of mine for 700 dollars.It needed a egr valve and a spark plug change. They were the original plugs from the factory.Got everything replaced for 800 dollar s. I've never owned a Mercedes in my life. Have a 2010 AWD Ti has done 340k not missed a beat until recently had fuel injector fail and wear and tear starting to show but still very responsive. Engine inside also seems to have more build up than what i would've expected having had regular servicing. dont know if thats common , just an observation. I love the Bose system , has a sub in tire well and pumps loud. Leather seats very comfortable . Electric tailgate and sunroofs pretty cool. Is a pleasure to drive with good visability

This was one of my favorite cars I test drove, but also one of the base models. It has a huge trunk and tons of room for a car seat or 2. Gets an average of 38-40mpg which is awesome for my driving to and from work.

Honestly did not anticipate just how much I would love this car! It drives well for its age and the interior is still in great shape. There is a little bit of rust on it, but that's to be anticipated when living closer to Lake Michigan.

Ok so don't let the miles or lack of engin noise scare you and you'll be fine! Electric vehicles are different from a 2015 chevy spark that cost $300 per tire, $70 oil change and $15 gas in week to $3-5 to fill up if want to pay at walmart. Charges from normal 110v socket over night. Its a trade higher insurance avg 23% and plate cost vs oil and gas costs. It should balance out plus way more fun to drive knowing gas is not a factor and your wall plug is always in trunk!

Father in Law bought this car towards end of 2008 with 18,000 miles on it, a 'GM program car' It was his 2nd vehicle so it didn't get used a bunch, he wanted the AWD option for winter driving. Fast forward to end of 2018 and we took possession of it with 79000 miles on it after he stopped driving. We have maintained it with regular oil changes, trans fluid changes, and have had some small repairs done (wheel bearings, power window motor replacement, that kind of stuff). It now has 215000 miles and engine and transmission still going strong. It's my husband's daily driver-70 miles a day- plus taking it on trips out of town. Metallic gray paint still looks great. Averages 24mpg. We are actually looking for another one with the 3.4 v6 with 100,000 miles or less, we've been so impressed with it.
