This is my fifth new Subaru and my third Outback Touring
This is my fifth new Subaru and my third Outback Touring XT. The improvements are across the board. The new system’s software and infotainment screen are major improvements along with the hvac controls all moved to buttons below the screen. The all digital driver’s screen is configurable and quite attractive and useful. The Outback is extremely quiet, the turbo engine very responsive and overall the vehicle feels more solid/substantial compared to the previous Outbacks.

Outstanding vehicle. Quiet, dependable, comfortable. Acceptable power and economy. Pity the turbo is no longer available. This is our fourth Subie. No issues with any of them. Change the oil every six months and do the timing belt at 100K miles and it’s good for 200K plus.

This vehicle is 3.0 Duramax engine. By all means it is a wonderful engine. The internet is reporting problems with it. Although I have not had a problem I am concerned. Super cruise is awesome. GM must resolve any issues because this is by all means the best vehicle on the market right now.

My first Toyota, I’m very impressed with the smooth ride and upgraded options and interior finishes in the 25’+ models. I decided to go with the 26’ XLE and I am not disappointed! I’m in the Midwest so it’s very cold in the winter and the cold weather package has been great! Definitely go with the 12.3” multimedia screen, it’s a huge upgrade from the 24’ and older models. Looking forward to 300k+ miles one day.

I can’t say enough positive things about Flood Mazda and the staff there! This has been my BEST car buying experience ever, and I have purchased many cars throughout the years from a myriad of dealerships. Charlie was outstanding to work with in terms of his calm demeanor, patience, and follow through. I went to the dealership three times before buying my Mazda 6 and he was consistently courteous and did not pressure me, even when I was considering an entirely different vehicle. Jason always greeted me with a smile and helped to ease my car buying anxiety. Dave and Cody were also amazing on pick up day. Both spent a great deal of time going over details and helped to close the deal in a timely and stress free way. Russell was also extremely personable and helpful. I am very happy with my purchase. I already owned a 2018 CX-5 and it never gave me any problems so I had no qualms about purchasing another Mazda. I went with the CX-50 Turbo Premium Plus for the horsepower and the extra perks (i.e. automatic folding mirrors, and I like that the side mirrors also turn down to see the curb when parking, front AND rear cameras, panoramic sun/moonroof, speed display in windshield, heated and ventilated cooling seats, and a 12-speaker Bose Stereo system). I love the extra power of the Turbocharged engine that my CX-5 doesn't have. The things I don't care for: 1) the retractable cargo cover (a $250 addl charge) doesn't attack to the lift (like my CX-5 does. It's much more convenient if it's attached so there's no pulling it out each time you need to put something in the trunk; 2) I don't like that I have to turn off the automatic shut off of the engine at stops and that I have to turn it off every time I get in the car. I'd like there to be an option to turn it off indefinitely unless and until I want to turn it on; 3) I would also love it if the driver and front passenger seats raised a bit higher. I'm not short but I would feel more comfortable if the seat height lifted another couple of inches. Overall, I really love my car. The steering is tight and the ride is more comfortable than I expected, and the inside of the cab is quiet and the stereo is premium. The seats are attractive with the light colored stitching to accent the seats. Because of all the features in my model, I got a lot of bang for my buck as opposed to a more expensive car costing $20K more for all the same features with Mazda reliability as well as more reasonable/affordable maintenance costs. I had a BMW several years ago and, once out of warranty, the maintenance is ridiculously costly. Additionally, the service department at the dealership where I purchased my car is top notch and the transparency for maintenance is appreciated! In the last 7 years of owning a Mazda, I have never had a bad experience.

Worth the drive from CT
After a poor experience in CT, we found a fair priced CX5 online and made the trip to Flood Mazda. It was well worth the ride and everyone at the dealership (Jason and Anthony in sales) were very professional and straightforward. As most can attest, the process of shopping, comparing, test driving and finally deciding on a vehicle, new or used, can be quite the intimidating endeavor. Especially in my particular state - still owing a loan payoff on my current vehicle. My recent experience at Flood Mazda in Wakefield, RI was hands down the most rewarding and delightful experience I’ve ever encountered in purchasing a vehicle. Nick Maiello was incredibly helpful when I initially called after checking out several (non-Mazda vehicles) on the Flood website. I honestly had no interest in Mazda… and was looking at other “used” vehicles in their inventory. Nick took the time to talk to me… gave me his honest opinion of compact and mid-size SUVs and invited me to come in and check out their selection of cars. He never tried to “sell” me anything… it was a very relaxed conversation – almost as if I was talking with a friend I’d known for years. He was personable, he was professional and that was just the start… Upon arriving at Flood Mazda, I experienced what I would consider as “red carpet treatment” - shocked that although I was shopping for a used car within a budget - Nick, treated me no differently than a customer in the market for a new car. He had a 2020 Mazda CX-5 already running out front, ready for me to drive. Prior to taking the initial test drive, Nick shared his extensive knowledge of the vehicle’s features and history. He even came along for the ride with me… showing me all the cool bells and whistles. The entire experience was so relaxing and pleasant. Nick was incredibly professional, a wealth of knowledge, courteous, patient and most importantly - honest. A rare trait when shopping for a new or used vehicle. He never pushed or pressured me into the numerous other options available on the lot. He was supportive of my needs and respectful of my time. He truly went above and beyond. I left, positive and relieved - I found my new car! The following day, I arrived with my father to complete the purchase. Nick was beyond organized - he had already prepped all the necessary paperwork prior to my arrival, was patient answering our countless questions, understanding of my financial limits, presented my options in terms I could understand, offered the best available pricing on my trade in - there was no “typical car salesman” banter or mindless sales pitch. He provided a seamless process and flawless execution all while remaining admirably personable. And he never once skipped a beat when we decided last minute to go brand new and buy a 2021 CX-5 Carbon Edition right off the showroom floor. The calming persona of Flood Financer Cody Harvey put any anxiety and worry I had about the financial paperwork and warranty options at ease – such a different experience than your typical dealership transaction. Not only did he explain every detail of the offer and options available to me - he was down to earth with a welcoming sense of humor and a warming charm. We completed the entire transaction in about 90 minutes – something I would consider unheard of when purchasing a new car. Just before I drove my new wheels off the lot, Nick took the time to once again provide top notch customer service - ensuring I had my proof of updated insurance, connected my mobile phone to the Bluetooth, reviewed how to safely operate the electronics, helped adjust the bass and treble in the stereo and answered last minute questions about my new purchase. An experience I won’t soon forget. An experience I will continue to share with anyone in the market to purchase a new or used vehicle. I can’t thank you enough, Nick for making my dream of owning a BRAND NEW vehicle a reality.
