Used Nissan Frontier trucks for sale near Cheval, FL under $40,000

I bought my 2024 Nissan Frontier SV 4X4 in March of 2025. It had 63 miles on it, was sold as a used pickup, but basically brand new, and I got a VERY GOOD deal on the purchase from my local Nissan dealer. Back in the day, I bought a new Frontier in 2007 and it was an exceptional pickup but the 2024 is even better! The styling and the fit and finish is excellent, inside and out. Love the V6 and the 9-speed automatic, very smooth and quiet. The mileage is 2-3 mpg better than the 2007, 18 around town and 23 on the highway. Very comfortable on a long trip. I am very pleased that this pickup has a greatly improved the turning radius over the '07 - good for you, Nissan. It handles great off-road. I have nothing negative to say about my Frontier!! Love it!!!

Great vehicle; super reliable as long as you keep up with the maintenance. Nissan provides exceptional service when it comes to preventive maintenance and their customer service is superb. The only complaint I have is the nonexistence of wireless CarPlay.

I had my Nissan Frontier SV6 for 11 years and 215,000 miles. It was still running great but traded it in for something smaller and newer. Pros - Reliable, good power, good for towing, comfortable, handled well, the back seats were fine for a shorter person 5'6" and under and the bed really came in handy. Outside of some abuse the only real non-routine maintenance it needed was the underside rusting out. After 11 years when washed and waxed it still looked great. The 4wd really got me out of some jambs. Decent power. Cons - Underside (exhaust, manifold) rusted out by 100K miles. Had to replace the exhaust twice. Heavy tailgate, no step rear bumper, poor mpg (17 in mixed driving).

This little pickup surprised me with every turn. It could tow 6500# without a problem and made it 190k miles with very few repairs. Mainly just maintenance items like struts and oil. It was priced according to its size and capabilities. The only complaint I had was the interior did seam cheep and the bed was very small. But it’s also a midsize

Had it 2 weeks now. Driving it is effortless. Handles well. We always get a 2 or 3 year old vehicle and let someone else take the hit. This is 5 years ago but in great shape AND 2 or 3 year olds were close to a trillion dollars so Musk can get those, not me. Put a cover on the back already and will install running boards today (my wife's NOT tall). This is for a short commute to work but mostly to tow our camping trailer as we're creeping up on full retirement. Tucson gets HOT for about 4 or 5 months and I've already paid my dues. Ha. Interior design is fine, I don't need fancy. Great sound system. Lifted enough for rough roads out in the sticks. 1st 4 door I've owned. Luvit. Had an 01 King Cab that was bullet proof. Sold it eventually because I'm not that bright. Recommend it to anyone.

My boyfriend bought his car from Carmax and it was a great experience. So when I needed a new car I looked at Carmax as well. They had everything I wanted but I thought I would get a better deal at a dealership... Boy was I wrong. Went to three different dealerships almost went through with a deal but they couldn't get me a good interest rate. It was so painful and awful I had decided to give up and just sink money into my current car and try again next year. I had an appointment at carmax the following Sunday and Dwyane called me to verify the time. I told him what happened the previous day and said I would be keeping my car because I needed a good rate and didn't want to be making crazy payments. He said, I hear you and totally understand, I'm happy to help you whenever you're ready. Just so you know when you are ready I have a good rate for you so I know we can find you something to make you happy. I was surprised because the other dealership said we couldn't get close to what I needed. Well folks, I'm in a new car, my payments aren't crazy and I have peace of mind. I only have two issues with this vehicle! Poor gas mileage! Terrible turn radius! I tow a boat and my friends who have full size trucks ( F150, Chevy 1500, and Dodges ) get better gas mileage Than I do towing their boats then I do without towing! Some of them have backed me in to the launch and then park the vehicle! They come back and say the turn radius is bad !

Our salesman George was such a pleasure to work with. He made our car buying an enjoyable experience. I told George exactly what I was looking for. He called me back in a couple days and said they had what I wanted. We didn't mind the 3 1/2 drive to go pick up the car. He went through everything with us and answered all our questions. Called the next day to make sure we arrived back home ok and wanted to know if we had any more questions. Like I said he made this an enjoyable experience.

Excellent for private or work truck. The engine is very powerful and the bucket seats are very comfortable. With 4 full individual doors, moving in and out of the truck is much easier. More legroom than most of your standard full-size sedans.

Good value all things considered, replaced sensors at 50000. Transmission shifted hard and eventually truck would die while driving. Code indicated bad crank cam sensors. Allegedly a common problem. Replaced and truck has been fine. Surprised no recalls or TSB on these engines.

Came for an oil change, had an amazing breakfast omelette, and then looked at a new civic!

Great truck. Fits in your garage. Has a real frame. Made in Canton Mississippi with 86% American made parts. The big three can't claim that. Nicked named the Beast. They aren't kidding.

From the time we walked in the door to when we left we had nothing but a great experience. I think the thing I liked the most was we weren't overwhelmed with salesman pressure. Our Salesman Shawn couldn't have done a better job. We went in to buy a Titian for me, then changed to a Frontier. My mind was set, then Ed Welsh, Sales Manager, mentioned the Rogue. Nah, not interested. He mentioned a few things about it and said just sit in it. WOW!!! This is definitely the one for me!!! I have never been excited about a car, even my Jaguar. But this one, I fell in love with. There was never any pressure to buy. Shawn and Ed answered all our questions. The other thing I liked was there was really no dickering on my trade in, the Jag. The Frontier King Cab has served me very well. It has been completely reliable and has met my varied needs. I have hauled many kinds of loads in the bed and have taken advantage of the additional length available over the Crew Cab. That said I wouldn’t want to take a long journey sitting in one of the rear seats, but having that space readily available for carrying “stuff” has been an advantage for me. Had no issues with towing a trailer. Over the three plus years I have owned it I have had just one warranty issue that was resolved by the local dealer; otherwise it just had routine maintenance. During that time several strangers passing by have commented on how they liked the look of the truck.

truck was fine but it was returned because it was too large for my wife and handled like a truck. comparable to a full size truck but wife want something smaller.

I'm fond of smaller trucks, had 3 Rangers over a 20 year period. Lost interest when they stopped production. However ownership of a large dog caused me to reconsider a truck's utility over our SUV. The Frontier crew cab with fold up rear seats provides easy access and a safer environment for our pooch. The ride and handling is quite good, power is more than adequate. The truck is a real pleasure to drive, although steering is on the heavy side. One of the few items that could be improved. I own the SV model with leather interior, love that feature as a dog owner. Perhaps the best feature is the price, typically 1,000's less than the competition. Must say the Frontier works well for me and certainly should serve the needs for most truck buyers.

Only negative about the Frontier is the way to hang up clothes behind the seat. Not a convenient hook for clothes hangers, so rigged up a line across from side to side. Very happy with everything else about the Frontier.
