Used Nissan cars for sale near Covina, CA under $5,000

I purchased this model New from big local Nissan dealer in my city in 2016. Mine is the blue model. Has great gas mileage, to this day. Was a good deal, on a basic car, with no frills. Worked great until 3 summer, right after 3 year warranty expired, the A/C totally quit. Had it checked, was the compressor. Over $1,000 fix. About the same time, strangely the paint started bubbling up in the between the rear doors on both side, and in crease where rear window meets the trunk. Flake after flake, will not stop and now a large section is gone on both back sides. For a 3 year old new car at the time, I was not happy. It is now 7 years old, and the chipping continues. Disappointing, and I have seen many of the same complaints online.

This is my first car. I’ve beat the crap out of it and it’s still running. Easy to maintain. Quick but not at all fast. I would suggest this as a first car for anyone.

Ok so don't let the miles or lack of engin noise scare you and you'll be fine! Electric vehicles are different from a 2015 chevy spark that cost $300 per tire, $70 oil change and $15 gas in week to $3-5 to fill up if want to pay at walmart. Charges from normal 110v socket over night. Its a trade higher insurance avg 23% and plate cost vs oil and gas costs. It should balance out plus way more fun to drive knowing gas is not a factor and your wall plug is always in trunk!

I didn’t expect such a nice and Comfortable car. The trunk area has as much space as our Liberty. For all our town driving it fits our needs. We have the same range as a model 3 Tesla for one third the price. Love the quit and smooth ride!

I drive this car daily, maybe 100 miles often. Very impressed with how quickly it accelerates. I bought the car and took it straight to the Nissan dealership as recommended for the full inspection. Very very cheap to maintain. Just takes a while to get confident in driving and making sure there’s a charging station around since I only get 65 miles per charge. Fun car to drive.

It may not be the prettiest car, it's not a 300 for sure.... But I will say it is very reliable. It hasn't broken down after 70k miles of owning it. I use to be a CDL driver and try to take care of any vehicle in my possession. Economy on the vehicle is great, usually averaging 36 miles per gallon. It's small, living in the city means it is great for tight spaces. No extravagant luxuries, very basic, not very comfortable for long trips, but if you can suck it up, it will get you were you need to go without breaking down

I use it for local use and it is PERFECT for that, heated steering wheel, seats are a nice touch, maps, navigation work great, phone interface phenomenal. If it weren't so nimble, I would think it was a luxury car! LA is finding this out, they are disappearing and the prices are going up! So is the range!!!

I bought this car used with about 50,000 miles on it from a car rental company. I needed an economical car with great fuel economy, too. I didn’t plan to keep it very long but, it’s now been seven years and it has 140,000 miles on it… We are still going strong! All I have replaced is a couple of belts, which was recommended by the mechanic, but had not broken yet and the front struts, because I got a pothole so big it bent the rim of my wheel. This car is a wallet friendly trooper!

This car is a great driver, get the tires rotated every 6000 miles and you are good to go. Sporty and fast, car costs about 3 cents a mile to drive. I went from a gas bill of $25+ a week to less than $25 dollars a month in my electricity bill.

The good news? I found my car. The bad news? It was in Fontana! I live in Mission Viejo, O.C. What's even worse, the ride I arranged to take me back to pick it up, was taken to hospital with covid. Yikes! Well, I struggled to find an alternative ride yet it seems people just don't like Fontana. THANKFULLY, I had MATHEW as my salesman. He was a dream the moment I walked on the lot. MATHEW was very polite, non intrusive and he answered every question I had. I live on disability which isn't a lot but he helped me make a great deal and I was very happy. WHEW! Now, how to get it home. After 4 days, I still hadn't found a ride back to Fontana to pick up my new (Used) outback. MATHEW saved the day. He said he would deliver the Outback to me...And he did. I love this truck looking for another one to buy I just changed for the first 190,000 miles my first shocks all around . Every 5 yrs I spend 3,000.00 dollars that includes 4 tires ,ceramic breaks and rotors all around . 1 battery and the usual oil change every 10,000 miles my truck is 16 yrs old it has never broken down on me on the side of the road until last week I was in nys and my radiator blew I thought the it was a hose but it was the radiator. I had it towed home back to nj . At that point, i decided to go all out and change everything that I thought needed to be done. i spare no cost I changed all this valve covers , valve cover gaskets ,radiator both hoses ,serpentine belt,the intake manifold set a new battery,new radiator cap,oil change ,left front break line , the J pipe , one muffler,the tail pipe ,all new clamps and the tow truck towing cost all total cost me $3,524.41 all I needed was a radiator and the j pipe but sence I had it in the repair shop I wanted all this other work done. I just got new shocks on the car this is funny the guy asked me when was the last time you changed your shocks I said I never did why he said look at them they were rusted away the whole rear shocks we rotted away I couldn't believe it how bad they were it took him 4 hrs to get all for shocks off I never saw shocks that had only a quarter metal left on it and the best is I never felt anything wrong with the shocks I just wanted to change them . I honestly love this truck to bad they don't make this truck anymore . People complain about the gas milage funny I did also but my mechanic.told me yes it sucks on gas but after a year the gas milage will get better he was right . I have a.led foot I fly in this truck every two weeks I fill my truck today prices 68.00 no big deal I am very picky with my cars I will find my next xterra that is used and I will buy it again .I got this one Brand new . I know all the things that need to be replaced before I start driving the next one . Best truck I ever had if you take car of it trust me it will.last you for ever my mechanic drove it and couldn't believe the power this truck has he told me you just might get 500,000 miles on this if you keep it up what ever your doing . Everything else on this truck is all original everything I told you I replaced is it . The only thing that I don't like about this truck is the drives bottom seat is ripping ,I will go to the dealer to have a new bottom seat replaced

Bought this used car 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5 S three years ago with just over 100,000 miles and I’ve had nothing go wrong with the car since day one.

My wife has the 2011 Versa S hatchback. She had had it since 2012, it is now 2024 and she has 135,000 miles on it. It has been very solid overall with basically the regular type maintenance things: brakes, oil changes, tires. It does however go through mufflers every 3 years about. And they did one engine mount that was worn out. She does have the check engine light on currently but its probably due for spark plugs. Now the engine is a bit slower to respond to hills or when trying to pass thanbit was 12 years ago, but overall it still has enough zip. Being the S it has The auto door locks on the key fob and there is auto windows inside. Fold down the rear seats and it easliy can hold whatever we pick up from the hardware store. It has a smooth ride and most of the bumps in the road are absorbed by the suspension. Some of the paint has been peeling around the trunk and the passenger sun visor broke off, but these are minor trivialities. I have confidence she can get to 150,000 miles and at least another 3 years our of it.

Overall I had a really good experience here. I was not looking forward to car shopping because I know either you don’t get the price you want and or the dealer gets too pushy and you walk out with a little regret. That was not my experience here. I worked with a salesman named Luis and he was cool. I recommend this dealership.

Now at 77000 Kliks & 10 yrs old a great bargain car! Fuel economy still around 7L/100Klm. No rust (except wheel rims) good seats rather coldish in winter tho... Only money spent on front end stabilizer bar & steering bits. Cant complain about tranny -its a stupid "puredrive" but we lucked into getting the OVERDRIVE option. That was our salvation!

This car meets all my needs. It's zippy, with a small turning radius, but also has a lot of great safety features. Plenty of legroom, and large trunk space. LOVE the smart key and bluetooth on the steering wheel.

Bought this car in 2017 for $6500. It had 86k miles. Currently its at 188k miles. Never changed the transmission oil. Other than regular maintenance I've only had to change the radiator, water pump, the struts and the coils twice. I will be changing the axles , front shocks and the valve cover. Car has been good to me. I thought the CVT would have given out by now with all the stories I've heard about them. Car is slow. Back seats are uncomfortable. MPG isn't the best for a 4cyl. Plenty of leg room and trunk space. If you can get one with less than 120k miles for cheap and you have a reliable and affordable mechanic take the risk. Worst case scenario you burn 3-4 thousand dollars. best case scenario you have 5-10 years of a reliable car without a car payment and you save on car insurance.
