I bought a Alero in 2004 the last one made still have it I use it for shows it's in mint condition I have 87.473miles never seen rain all original original paint the only 2 thing I replaced is a battery and front brakes never had any problems love the car

So I acquired about a car an when I called the company they were more than helpful with giving me directions an a number to another one of there lots to find the car I wanted, and apon arrival I was treated with good customer service an the dealers new a lot of the Carfax on the vehicles i asked about.

I've had this Alero almost 2 years, has never left me stranded, had the factory struts replaced and all other routine wear items, a word of caution, it's the 2.2 L 4 cylinder, everytime I've gotten an oil change at different places it shows at least a half Quart high, I had to get the front seal and timing chain cover gaskets replaced, maybe from age or because it had too much oil, if you only put 4 1/2 Quarts with a new filter the oil level will show the correct level for some reason, the book says 5 Quarts but that's too high.

Although the car looks senior citizen-y the front end is very stylish for any age. In terms of the interior, I wish I had gone for the leather option because the velour upholstery doesn't give much freedom of motion. The gas mileage is great. I am at 65,000 miles and the transmission is having a minor problem. It is not the cars fault, I ran over something and scraped bottom of car. This caused starter and cooling components to fail. The car is very strong with decent traction control.

I had a question & they responded almost immediately. The answer came across as very polite & professional & there was no high pressure sales tactics.

The only thing I have had complications with is the cup holders and space it allows. Definitely for long trips it needs a more stable cup holder. Other than that it's a really great car and awesome on fuel considering it's a v8

I bought mine for $9,700 @101,000 miles.All options except heated seats,autobahn package(very rare option)or the upgraded stero.The seats spoil you for life.The bolstering and quality of the leather is better than current car s.The room inside is huge in all dimension s.The way the Windows curve into the roof can make some think it has less room than it has,but l love that style.The top of the Windows have no frame,so rain well leak in more easy.Each time you park it,check to make sure all windows are rolled up fully,they will sag down on their own. The trunk is huge,18 square feet.It is difficult to reach in to back,just put stuff in cargo bags with a handle on the end to pull it out,easy access.l had to replace the suspension arms that support the trunk,a little expensive. I got hit in the rear very hard in gridlock traffic,4 times in a row!!! In about 20 seconds!The car that hit me was hit from behind,a Malibu,it was totaled!I thought my Aurora was too,but just scratched paint!Took to dealer,said it undamaged! This is not a sports car,but it is fun in wide,sweeping turns.The suspension is soft and will wallow in tight turns.But on the freeway the ride is perfect.The rear suspension lowers down for a better ride.l had the air compressor run to the point of killing the cars battery a few times.Jacked up the rear of car,this is when l am done with work and car has been parked 8 hours!The cure was to disconnect the battery each time l parked the car for awhile.Ackward to do since battery is under the rear seat! I went out of state for 2 weeks with battery disconnected,never had that issue again. When you park the car don,t make my mistake,l would always be afraid it would be hit in parking lot,so l would pull all the way forward over curb till tires touch.There is a rubber air dam underneath that would be struck,folded over and block the air passage to the radiator.(no air vent above)The one tinny bolt that holds it in place would be knocked out.Now it will overheat bad!Take a look under there from time to time! This car is terrible as far as turning radius,be ready for awkward parking lot situations.The visibility is excellent,except if you have an early 1995 model,the rear window has bad distortion.lf you put tinted windows on the rear window can,t have top 3-4 inches tinted,factory sticker there. Since it is front wheel drive with a Cadillac North Star v8,it get,s good traction in rain,at least with my driving style.Great sound to the motor when peddle to the floor.The rear seat fold down center console is the best designed l have still ever seen.open cup holders(simple and effective)with inside storage!(good place to hide your wallet when go to gym,but fold the center cosole in the up position before) I drove my aurora 101k -232k,got hit by a pick up truck.lf they made it now l get it again.10 years,every 2 weeks take it to the brown bear drive through car wash,fresh wax each time!Oil changes every 3 k miles.First 5 years not leak much oil,last few leaked it did.Put cardboard under the motor at least an hour to find out. Now it will be hard to find one in great condition,but worth it if you can!Price will be dirt cheap!A future collectors item?!!!

My daughter just sold her 1998 Olds Intrigue GLS just a week ago. And, I bought mine three weeks ago. I bought mine based on the reliable car that my daughter had for seven years. Mine is the GL, not as fancy as my daughter's GLS but still loaded with lots of options. I like the 3.8L engine. My Buick LeSabre had one in it and they are pretty close to bullet proof. My "new" Olds is comfortable and reliable. Handling is great, seats are comfy, the Mode setting for the heater controls is a nice luxury along with the heated exterior mirrors. Like my Buick, this Olds gets about 22-24 in town, and 29-32 freeway. Traction control and front wheel drive are great, especially in the snow. The car hugs the road and feels very solid. Although the Olds line has been discontinued it is still easy to find parts.

I bought my Alero at a Dealership as a trade in last Summer, as is, checked it over and couldn't find anything wrong with it, it cost $2,500 so I got it, had all the fluids changed, even the power steering fluid because it had 194,000 Miles and I had no records, the Carfax report showed it had never been wrecked at all and just had new struts and tires installed, and regular oil changes, been great, only problem so far is the coolant pump started leaking, possibly from a pressure radiator flush service, which I thought to be no big deal, until I found out it's inside the engine and runs off the timing chain, cost $520 to replace and other shops asked for more, a 6 Hour job, anyway it rides smooth and handles curves like a champ, I have the 2.2 Ecotec 4 Cylinder, has a real steel timing chain that is unlikely to fail, I've seen 2 of these with 300,000 Miles.

Auroras are such lovely cars. Always runs great with great heated seats in the winter time and a sunroof in the summer! Would recomend to all who want a reliable long lasting comfortable car.

Old Betty is the best car I've bought in my time of buying cars she a 2002 Oldsmobile intrigue i got her for $2,600 In 2023 With Exactly 50,000 Miles she at 73,000 in January Of 2025 minus the minor work I've put on her crank shaft Fuel Pump (don't think I need the pump but couldn't figure out why she was Stalling on me) Crank Shaft!!! 😅 Motor bracks Sway Bar links wheel hub for front tires.I don't keep cars tht I have to keep change part on but Old Betty Different her engine is Top tier she runs better than these newer car I love her a lot she hasn't even reached her Prime yet my opinion

I love this car...period! I got this gem with 83k on it. It is responsive and is my favorite comfort car. Has an air ride that adjusts the weight when the trunk is full or passengers are in the back seat. It's 27 years old and still great for road trips...I've taken a few. With 104k now it's very reliable and my car of choice to drive. Big seats and full back seat too. I wish they still made these cars. Stereo sound is great too. A few mechanical issues: replaced fuel pump and some older parts needed to be replaced. But other than that just an all around great ride.

My experience started out very rough. I set up an appointment with Mina, and was told the car was ready for me to look at. My wife and I drove an hour and a half to look and test out the car. When we arrived Mina was with another customer showing the car we came to see. Mina acted as though she was avoiding me so I ask to speak to a manager. I spoke with the manager which did not help matters. This was one of my worst experiences buying a vehicle. Fortunately we were handed of to Brad Huffman and he saved the sale. If it were not for Brad I would have contacted Corporate.

This is my first car. I got it in 2014. I had to replace the fuel pump at 140K miles. I am at 170K miles now. Having no issues anymore. The motor in my back window went out recently and my lock buttons don?t work. Just little things. Other than that, this is an amazing first car.

I have a 1993 Olds Cutlass Ciera. My Mom and Dad gave me this car in 1998 after they toured the country with it. At that time the car had 133,000 miles on it. Nothing wrong, my Mom just wanted a new car. I have driven this car ever since. I have 327,340.3 miles on the car. The rust from the winters here in Michigan and all the salt use have taken it's toll on the body and frame. The engine and trans are still great. I still get 30mpg, and does not burn oil at all. The best car in the snow also. I have snow tires on the car, and will drive through 12" no problem. I love this car. Very dependable.

My beloved parents bought new. I took it over after they passed away. Great car all around and very little was repaired. Very very dependable car. Cadillac shortstar engine is great. Only replaced crank sensors, window regulators valve cover gaskets (they still leak) you have to change the oil and coolant flushed regularly. This engine runs like brand new since, the day my parents bought it home. Finicky engine. Use OEM parts from dealer for the engine, especially the water pump. I am hanging onto this gem as long as I can.
