Bought this car at a junk auction. It was in poor shape but I knew that going into it. It was a jewel of a find 06 gtp. It's my fun summer's only, occasional driver. I gutted all the seats and replaced them with leather as well as fixed the interior. Car had lots of mechanical issues as well but the engine was and still is strong. Its a fun car to buy and take under your wing as a collectors, project car. Lots of cheap parts in the junk yards now. I would not recommend this car for a daily driver unless you plan on spending a lot of money fixing stuff. The cars are old.

I’m a bragging past owner of a 2006 G6 Gypsy sedan. First owner up to around 37,000 miles. Great experience & performance! Only issue that aggravated me was the key release from the ignition “ which was repeatedly repaired & never solved?” My model was the rare 6 speed manual “ yes in a sedan!!!!” The manual had to be in a certain precise position to trigger the ignition key release. I joked with GM service department that apparently the car wanted to keep driving?! The only other service I can remember was the leather seat cover replaced because the color wore away. & a suspension part up front. Everything covered by factory no arguments. I’m extremely serious that this is one General Motors hidden past gems!!!! “ keep in mind I am NOT talking base entry level model here.” Everyone knows about the G8 the solstice which is understandably justified! However these G6 GTP & GXP are the best investment for the budget minded to get performance in a competitive fun driving sedan with luggage & storage space!” Unless you’re smart enough to purchase the HARDTOP metal roof convertible!” Do your self & your wallet a favor & don’t ignore the vehicle when looking!

My 2008 G8GT has 185K on it and it still drives and handles like a new car. I have changed the brakes to slotted and change the oil myself every 3-4k miles. Front seats are not that comfortable for long trips and is my only minor complaint. I will keep the car as long as I can because there is nothing like the power being offered in a four door by an American Car Company.

I recently purchased A 2018 Alpina B7 from Ray at Motor Cars Of Chicago. When I purchased the car I made it clear to Ray that I was going to be in need of the title in ASAP fashion – Ray said I’d have the title within two weeks and boy did I just like he said he fulfilled the promise he made no questions asked. Also on the way home after taking delivery, I had a very minor problem that turned out to be a bad battery. Ray was unaware of when we took delivery of the car – Ray didn’t hesitate he reimbursed me for the batteries I had to have installed at the BMW dealer by the BMW dealer. He said the car was flawless and he stood behind that statement. Ray is very straightforward and no xx perhaps not full of warm fuzzies for everyone but a great way to do business, especially in the luxury and highline car business. I find Ray to be honorable direct and stand up and we’ll do business with him again if I had any reservations about doing business with them before this transaction, they are all completely gone and yours should be too. Purchased new September of 2009 now has 162K miles and i will never sell this car it has and is perfect. Best car I have ever owned and my first car was bought in 1967. Just a little info., the air condition system has never been serviced and you could hang meat in it on 100 degree day. It's on it's second battery does not use any oil between services. Original water pump. Not a tick under hood and as of two months ago will still do 164mph. No mods what so ever. And for looks minds Red w/two tone red/black interior simply beautiful

I traded in 2 Saturns for a black 2008 Grand Prix GXP with 62,300 miles. I've gone though it with new coils, wires, plugs, wipers, filters, some fluids changed and a new set of tires. Even replaced the headlight lenses and tail lights with new custom modern LEDs. Also added a performance chip and a Turbomag kit. I have a few other repairs I still have to do (like A/C, it works but leaks), but I love this car already and I am just getting started. Not good for full burn outs, though it has the power. Instead, you just launch! Your head hits the head rest and it feels like your eye xxxxx are bouncing off the back of your skull. I love it. Stock with the LS4 5.3L they are 303 hp, I think I'm getting around 380 something out of it. It's my baby, even though I am more of a classic car fan. They can bury me in it when I die. :o)

If you have kids but still want to take pride in your ride, the G8 GT is a great choice. Mine is over 10 years old and still turns heads and is just a blast to drive. But even more important, it has a massive trunk and rear seat so I was able to fit three car seats across the back and pack the trunk full for a full vacation. The best part is that this car has never left me stranded anywhere, after putting 100,000 miles on it.

I purchased my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix in July 2008. At the time of the purchase it has 55,000 miles and today I have 346,000. The original motor and transmission is still in the car. I haven’t experienced any major mechanical issues.
