Well, there may have been some poor experiences for some, but my experience was exceptional. Alan answered all my questions prior to flying out from PA to IL. Even picked me up at the airport. The pictures provided matched up exactly with the car when I viewed in person. There were a couple of niggles with the car and Alan graciously offered to take care of them. Found Alan to be candid, gracious, helpful and honest. Office support, Brittni had more patience than I might have when talking with PNC for funding verification. I would recommend Illinois Motors and the whole process with no reservations.

I've always been a Pontiac conisur. In '77 I got a 69. Absolutely amazing. In 2003 I got a 91. Now I have a '95 and it is tops. Named her SAM for Surface to Air Missle. Yes I am retired Army. I worked with Regis on a 2000 Corvette and can say it was the easiest buying experience. I’d asked to have the front fender alignment looked at and he had it fixed along with a missing trim piece. The car was in excellent shape and all modifications were disclosed. He’s very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I had a 97 formula T-Top with the LT1, the stock mufflerwasn't all that but the Flowmaster was a compliment to the 5.7L 350 cubic inch V8.it road comfortably from the driver seat but the back seats you either had your knees up in your face or the front passenger seat all in your grill. You are driving one of the elite machines setting in the Pontiac cockpit. I enjoyed just starting that car the rumble and the roar when it fired and the humble rumble while crusin along and 70mph was it's sweet spot their wasn't a curve it couldn't handle at 70 just let off the gas and it would glide steady and that my friend is a different perspective of comfortable. I got several careless but doing 105 in a 50 got me a wreckless driving. But it's been nearly 30yrs and I still dream about that car I hope to get another one someday

It was very excellent. The sales representatives was very professional and curious. He went above and beyond. Even tho me and my wife live 2hrs away. He responded promptly to our calls and delt with any issues we had.

My 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP currently is a reliable little sports car with lots of kick in terms of performance, especially considering it’s amazing turbo charger. 260 hp isn’t to bad either. Styling is ever eye catching with its 18 inch tires. It sits low outwardly as well as inwardly as a sports car should. Maintaining its regular maintenance and fluids will provide consistent quality performance. It's fast when you need it to be. The ride is comfortable, and steering is excellent for where you pint it, it will go there with no push back or fuss. Gas relies on premium which is acceptable for quality performance, but there is the base model which takes regular gas if your wallet seeks relief. Its colors are limited, but I suggest a car wrap for uniqueness individuality. Overall, the Solstice is a fun responsive sports car that you can find within your budget and after purchasing it, you can get reasonable affordable auto insurance coverage, especially if your are a Boomer with no tickets or accidents. These cars are approaching rare for you don’t see many on the roads and highways these days. Drop the top on a relatively good weather day and all eyes will be on you!!! MVB

I absolutely love my Solstice GXP. It's got all the pep you could ever want,it handles & corners like it's on rails! I laugh everytime I see & easily pass Miata's,what a joke they are. I see people complaining about no storage space with these cars! Yes a little more space would be nice but that's what my truck is for. I go every 2 weeks & get groceries & supplies & I spend between $250-$400 and i can get it all in the car. And there are big items in there like 2 cases of pop,a big pail of Cat litter (the 35 lb. pail) and lots of other items. 12 rolls of paper towels, I do use the passenger & floor too but I can get it all in there. I also see people complain about cup holders,and somewhere to put change. The guy in Delaware. There are pockets on the front of both seats,rear of them too. Also the cup holder on the passenger side of console by their left knee,as well as the 2 behind your right elbow. If it bothers you that much buy the aftermarket cup holder for these cars! I'm 6 ft tall & don't have any sight problems he complained about,my Solstice has a power seat button that raises & lowers the drivers seat (only) not forward & back. The button is between your knees more on the left side. I had my car for almost 3 yrs before I discovered this. LOL I took the seat out to install some wiring for the interior lighting I put in,that's when I saw it. The only thing I can complain about is the location of the power window buttons. When I rest my right arm I accidentally hit the buttons and the windows go down. But that's not a big deal. Besides this winter when I put the car away I'm going to relocate them to the center console behind the shifter,because I can! The stereo system is quite impressive for a factory unit. I've had several thousand dollar Alpine,Nakamichi,ADS,Eclipse,Denon systems in my cars thru the years & this is comparable. Could use another subwoofer,to really get the bass i want. But it rocks! My brother always says I can't believe that's a factory system!!!. I love my Solstice. Everywhere I go i get asked what kind of car it is,how fast it is,and they love the color,Mean Yellow! I get alot of looks,especially when I get out of it because this spring i installed the Lamborghini door kit. So people really freak out when they see that. I think for giggles I'm going to buy either Lamborghini or Ferrari emblems to put on it. LOL I did tgat on a Dodge Neon i had years ago, i put Chevy emblems on it. When i traded it in the salespeople laughed hard when they saw it. I bought it in August of 2018 with 13,000 miles,I've got 36,000 on it now & haven't had a single problem. None!!!!

Best dealership in town. There’s no other dealer in Illinois that compares to this one. I’m a passionate automobile enthusiast with no patience for xx and THIS dealer has NONE of that. I walked in and I was greeted softly and warmly by the front desk discussing the reason for my visit and understanding if I was browsing or looking for something specific. When I spoke about a specific vehicle I wanted I was referred to Tiffany the sales manager. She was as warm and welcoming as the front desk people were. Tiffany paid careful attention to what I wanted and what I was looking for. I never felt rushed or pressured. I felt MY time and what I wanted is what mattered to her, which it did! She introduced me to her product specialist Roland ( With a cool Cowboy hat and a great sense of humor to accompany it). While Roland knew full well I wasn’t in the market to buy a car in the near future he still spent almost 2 hours with me discussing my options, my needs, and how to get those needs taken care of. By the end of my visit, Roland helped me place an order for the exact vehicle I want. Despite not making a sale that day, they invested those nearly 2 hours in MY NEEDS and they showed me how much MY time meant to them. I’m almost 40 years old and I’ve never purchased a brand new car before in my life, and you know what? This is the place that’s going to happen and I couldn’t be happier. I bought 07 in 2013 for $9K. I’m 6’2” and don’t have any problems getting and out except with a hat on and cowboy boots. It’s an automatic transmission. I had racing stripes painted on it because they all look the same. I’ve often thought I’d wished I’d bought the GXP with the std shift with turbo but I think my left leg would hit the steering wheel shifting. Mine has 110K miles on it. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it, it sticks to the road at any speed and holds curves so well that no other car can. The cons are they the interior is all hard plastics, so for a long trip you’ll feel every crevice and wish for a softer interior. The cup holder for the driver on the transmission mound when alone is crap and will jam and not close, don’t use it, it will fail. Mechanically the automatic transmission has a sealed transmission and should have had a recall, because within 50K miles it shifts real hard on the downshift. Have a trusted mechanic check the transmission fluid level, even though there isn’t a stick the mechanic can add fluid. I spent over a grand paying for an ECM replaced that controls the transmission and later found out it was only low fluid. You’ll get all kinds of advice and most will be wrong. I’m having a new top put in it, the only thing that shows it’s wear. Overall, it’s been a very dependable car, like all cars needs regular maintenance but so so much fun to drive.

I have owned 5 of these cars, they are such a great car. Reliable, feul efficient and if yoh have the Vibe with the 2.4 liter notir, its quite pepi. I had a 2003 Vibe that went for 348,000 miles. Current 09 has 260,000 on it and still going strong. They dont make cars like this anymore, there all Junk!!

I have always wanted one. Now that I have it I am not disappointed. Pontiac knows how to make excitement. The Red leather in my car is just beautiful and the seats are the best ever. Performance is off the chain with this thing, stomp the pedal and the thing almost jumps off the road. It will be a keeper!

(owner of three 06/07 g6 GT/GTPs convertibles) Wonderful, sporty look. Design is great with minimal flaws such as cover that opens when top comes down malfunctioning or air vents coming out. Seats look great but sit in this car longer then two hours you'll wish you weren't. Every car I've seen has a rip in driver seat, you'll know what I mean if you own one most likely. Engine and transmission are strong and reliable with little maintenance needed. Things like CV joints, ball joints, sway bars, etc you'll need to replace often along with many electrical details and oil/tranny leaks. All around amazing, going on five years with my first one from 132k miles to 203k miles it runs just as it did the day I bought it.

I bought this car used in 2012. Over 10yrs later and 214k miles she still rolling. I did have to replace power steering sensor last year and unfortunately it has to be reprogrammed in shop or would of saved chuck of money. My evap solenoid is giving me trouble but my heat my AC my radio my windows all work and I would buy a brand new one if I good. Lots of replaced headlamp bulbs over the years but once rewired it made much better

I’m a bragging past owner of a 2006 G6 Gypsy sedan. First owner up to around 37,000 miles. Great experience & performance! Only issue that aggravated me was the key release from the ignition “ which was repeatedly repaired & never solved?” My model was the rare 6 speed manual “ yes in a sedan!!!!” The manual had to be in a certain precise position to trigger the ignition key release. I joked with GM service department that apparently the car wanted to keep driving?! The only other service I can remember was the leather seat cover replaced because the color wore away. & a suspension part up front. Everything covered by factory no arguments. I’m extremely serious that this is one General Motors hidden past gems!!!! “ keep in mind I am NOT talking base entry level model here.” Everyone knows about the G8 the solstice which is understandably justified! However these G6 GTP & GXP are the best investment for the budget minded to get performance in a competitive fun driving sedan with luggage & storage space!” Unless you’re smart enough to purchase the HARDTOP metal roof convertible!” Do your self & your wallet a favor & don’t ignore the vehicle when looking!

bought used with 128xxx. 6 years later still wouldn't sell. I have yet to get into a situation that I wasn't able to maneuver it out of easily. taken it through spots that trucks couldn't (driver experience and ability). for the last year it has served as one of the best work trucks I've ever been around. I know on more than a few times that it was definitely overloaded I'm talking about the rear fender being about 1/2 Inch from the tire, and she hasn't disappointed me yet or let me down. only reason why I didn't give 5 stars all the way across the board, is that horrible evil things called governors at 108mph. it's now over 21 years old and 180xxxish miles. only thing I have upgraded is the air intake and filter. (BEFORE) if you floor in from a dead stop it would shift into 2ND gear at 45MPH (AFTER) 50MPH. (BEFORE) from 2nd to 3rd a 90MPH, (AFTER) AROUND 100MPH

This is an update to previous review. I bought the cerma plate protection package but was unhappy with the interior. I took it back and it turned out that nobody even worked on the interior. They did it while I waited. If I hadn't taken it back I would have paid for something I didn't get. The service dept. was a little upset with my mood and attitude, but when they found out no-one had even worked on my interior they were very apologetic and nice about it and thanked me for bringing it to they're attention. I don't like dealers and this is a perfect example of why.

Best car ever. Had since purchase and runs well after 185,000 miles. Mechanics have told me one of the best cars ever made. Hasn’t cost me a lot over the years either !

My 07' Grand Prix GT still going strong in 2023 with 10100 miles on it (low for its age). The GT had the supercharged version of the 3.8., has every option other than OnStar, stealth gray exterior, 10 spoke wheels, all charcoal leather interior. Other than regular maintenance and the normal wear items it has only had a check engine light come on once in 16 years, codes revealed a TB circuit failure, and a 150.00 throttle pedal fixed the issue. Minor issues are soft trim parts are failing and no replacements are available to be had. GM should have killed the Buick instead of Pontiac, after all it brought more to the table than Buick did. To this day still gets the 18mpg the EPA suggested in 2007.
