I bought a 2006 Cayman S three years ago. After I test drove it I was sold. I had been rear ended in my 2000 Toyota. After a few days the battery went out and my wife came to jump me off. Bought anew batter. A few weeks later fluid was leaking. I was pleased it was just the water pump. It seems people who buy this car and don’t use it have water pump problems. Eventually new brakes and a tune up. Runs like a jewel. I could not have fully appreciated this car at a younger age. Yes, it is an attention getter. I am quick to let people know it is a 2006 model. I think that keeps me grounded that I am not a helluva fellow because I own a Porsche. Oh yeah, eventually got new tires even after being told I could wait.

I recently repaired my classic Porsche at Intersport Performance's Ashburn facility. Mat and the technicians were first class. I got frequent updates on the status of my repairs. The work was very well done. Omar offered some update suggestions and the car runs and drives great. I finished the work with a full detail and the car looks almost brand new. Great experience! I recently bought a ‘04 Porsche 911 Turbo site-unseen from Intersport. I’ve never bought a car this way and was pretty uncomfortable but knew I couldn’t get down there for a couple of weeks and that I wanted this car. Raj was my salesman and he was great throughout the process. He was super communicative and eager to help the whole time. He helped arrange a PPI, state injection and pick up by my transporter and each step was smooth and without issue. The car itself was as described if not better and Intersport had done a recent clutch and other work. The work was really well done according to the independent mechanic and the car is fantastic. Raj and Intersport made an otherwise nerve-racking purchase very smooth and delivered a great car.

1994 Carrera 4 widebody owner. My favorite Porsche so far. I’ve owned 911s (77, 70, 73, 91 Carrara 4, 99), 912, 912E and 944. This is one of 267 made. Best all around driving experience. I’ve put 30k miles of the 138k miles on the dial. Very few issues. Mostly maintenance. Bullet proof car, a blast to drive. Not the fastest car, but for the era, the design and mechanicals are great. Car gets looks and compliments each time I drive it. Enthusiasts know what it is and drool over it. These cars have doubled in price in the last 4 years. Very happy with it.

Turbo GT. Hard to believe it drives as well as my 911 through the mountains. Ride is better than advertised with the lowered ride and stiffer suspension. PTO color is flawless. It does not drive around corners…it deletes them

The 991.2 Porsche 911 really is the everyday sports car. Not conspicuous but also not mundane. With so many variants available, its hard not to find a 911 that fits YOUR needs and wants. The engine is sublime, the interior is refined and well built, and the cockpit ergonomics are unmatched. After driving a 911 (any variant), any other sub-150K sports car is just Meh. One of the underappreciated aspects of using this car on a daily basis is how easy it is to live with: the outward visibility is excellent, the tech is great, and the car is comfortable on long drives. When looking for your first 911, you should consider with a well-loved 991. I prefer the "Dot 2's" because of the turbo engine and the Apple CarPlay but the 991.1's have a charm of their own and shouldn't be discounted. One of the few drawbacks to any 911 is the road noise...you will have to get used to hearing those big tires hitting the road and if you drive on rough roads the majority of the time you WILL be annoyed (maybe look at a NSX or a C8 instead). Otherwise, you will not regret the ownership experience!
