Used Porsche convertibles for sale near Lawrenceville, NJ

I have had my '02 base 6 speed manual Carrera Coupe for about 5 years. It was a car I had checked out, but my wife bought for my 50th. I love the car. I do some "spirited drives" with a great group of folks early Sunday mornings (when the back roads are pretty empty). The car is just a blast to drive hard. I have never come close to finding its limits in terms of cornering. It can be driven quite sedately if you keep it under about 4,000 RPMs. Fine around town. Stop and go traffic is obviously a pain with any manual car, but the clutch is a little stiffer than, say, a Honda. Road trips are fine if you can fit, and it's a bit noisy on the highway from tire noise. I was interested in the 911 over a used Cayman (or Miata, etc.) because I can put my kids in the back (they are 4 and 7, and they LOVE pulling "g-forces" The main downside is this is a 22 year old car with a list of things that really need to be replaced. Not because they are broken, but just standard maintenance. I need a transmission rebuild to fix an occasional issue with 2nd gear. Rear main seal. Check the IMS bearing. Water pump. Then the suspension and engine mounts probably need to be gone over. All this is probably $12,000-$15,000. Bottom line, these 996 911s can be had for mid-20's, but it's still a Porsche. You don't get Honda-priced parts when you need to replace something.

I have had the blessing of dealing with James Kovack two times - once in connection with the sale of my leased 2021 RAV 4, the other time witnessing the sale of my sister's 2021 RAV 4. At that time ( my sister's visit) based on my experience, she requested James to work with her. My sister's experience and mine mirrored each others. My sister and I are most pleased with the outcomes of both of our experiences and will recommend Carmax, but in particular James Kovack and Qu'ran Gordon for their fine work.

Words do not do it justice. This car is simply stunning visually, growls delightfully, and it's a dream to drive, incredibly responsive and shifts so smoothly. After a lifetime of exceptionally cool/classic/prizewinning cars - I do believe this one will turn out to be my all-time favorite. My apologies to my Jaguar clubs!

992 C2S. Best performance car I’ve ever drivin. Can’t think of any negatives. People complain about the price but 100,000 for a suv or loaded pickup is ok. Took years to finally acquire this car , happy it finally became a reality.

These cars are very unique and getting more rare. Fun to drive especially the manual trans. Be sure to get a PPI if you are looking to buy. Good service and upkeep is a must and will cost $1500. -2000 per year. Higher in years when you have timing belt, tires , brakes , etc. Parts are pricey and you need a shop that has experience with this era of Porsche. But definitely worth it!

I can't say enough good things about the entire team at Porsche Princeton. Everyone went above and beyond in every part of the process - from the ordering, to keeping me updated, to delivery. They aren't the closets Porsche dealer to me (not even in the top 5 by distance), but it's more then worth it to go to them - even if I was hours and hours away. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I pass this dealer every day on the way to the office. I finally decided to stop in as they have opened their doors after months of renovations. The facility looks brand new and very nice. The staff were so polite and kind. I checked out their inventory, had a pleasant chat and a delicious cappuccino. Just got a 2019 Carrera 4 GTS. Seems great so far, very fast and handles great. GTS model seems to be the best bang for the buck as far as power and options that are included

What can I say. Overall a great experience. They really enjoy what they do over here and the stock of cars is amazing!! One word of advice is make sure you check every small detail. The sales people can miss details and so can you. They move cars QUICK here and the sales reps on a Saturday seemed very busy!! The dealer had burgers and drinks to share with us while we waited which was awesome. Before I met the owner and his son, I was getting the feeling this was a family business, and it is! This review if for my ‘13 911 Cab(a very sweet ride); which I purchased as a two year old certified Porsche; which I just traded for a new ‘22 911S Cab, an even sweeter ride!! The only reason for the 4 for value for the money, these cars are very expensive, but for a young 78 year old guy just a great car if one can afford them.

What can I say, the benchmark of sports cars. I have a 4S Cabrio. I chose the 4 as I like all-wheel-drive, even in Florida. Better grip. The S also has more horsepower. Build quality and fit and finish our superb. The ultimate sports car without all the problems of the Italian cars. You’d be hard to find a car with better handling and Performance. I love my Porsche, as much a one can love a thing. It is an incredible machine that also happens to be a car. The car handles like no other I've driven and just goes like a cheetah.

Overall a very fine car. Dashboard controls are not responsive and it took two of us to figure out how to play USB flash drive (CD's don't work). Pairing cell phone is also problematic.

I spend about $1000-$2000 each year on maintenance. One may consider that high, but I purchased a 911 C4S car for $35,000; the MSRP was $93,000 in 2004. The vehicle has appreciated since 2019, and now, with such a detailed service history over the years, it could sell for $40,000. So you either pay in depreciation or maintenance, and though I may be a stickler for maintenance, it keeps the value stable. I could have gotten a new Camry for $35,000, but it would be worth about $15,000 now and less fun. Next car I will jump up to a 2012 to 2015 Porsche. You can't go wrong if you get the right model, rare options, and even rare colors. Number one is having complete maintenance records; don't buy one without them.

I'm 67 years Old and have bought alot of cars in my Life. This was , by far, The BEST experience I ever had. Simon and everybody at Autobay were Fantastic to deal with. No hidden fees or Add ons the total price is exactly as quoted on website. Simon told me as I was leaving if there was any Problems or Issues with the car just call him. A small problem came up with the Brakes and before I could even explain the issue he told me to bring it in. I brought it in he asked for the keys put it right up on the lift and within 30 minutes the issue was resolved. And again as I was leaving he told me If any other issue to call him right away and he would make it right. I have NEVER received that kind of service before.. Terrific car and the best I have ever owned Comfort downgraded because the leather seats are just too hard, a common problem with leather seating. Lexus uses much softer leather, making their seats much more comfortable for a long drive. Wouldn't need heated seats if not for the leather seating surfaces. Fabric is MUCH more comfortable. Interior design is excellent except for the extensive use of bright metal accents which should never be used in a convertible. Solved with matte black vinyl wrap. Infotainment system is an unmitigated disaster - it simply fails to work much too often, specifically Apple CarPlay works only about half the time, backup camera often fails to display, and sometimes the display shows nothing but "Loading Home." This should be simple to fix but local dealer refuses or is incapable of doing the right thing. This is a terrific $50K sports car; too bad it costs so much more. Reliability downgraded only because of infotainment problems. No mechanical issues.

I flew in from Seattle Washington to look at a car i was interested in at Interstate Motorsports with a friend of mine. It was truly an experience i will never forget. First off i will tell you its like no other car lot, i can not even call it that, its like a car kingdom. Its beautiful with the most fascinating cars i have ever seen. All cars kept inside the most unique place, its something you have to experience its hard to describe. The best part is i have been around a lot of car dealers and i can say there is no other like Steve the owner and his wonderful wife and nephew Alex, they are genuine, honest, you feel like a part of a great family when you are at this special place. They are so open and i met several of there longtime customers and friends all so personable. Owned a corvette, a viper, the 911 and the boxster. I’d say the boxster s was a bit more fun to drive, and like both porsches equally for different reasons. Test drove BMWs on multiple occasions, never liked any of them. Test drove a couple of ferraris, a bit too small and expensive. Same for the NSX. Bought it 2 years old and got a great price. The targa 4s that I currently have, has some nice 911 features, including the large retractable roof, and the pop up rear window, for easy access to the back seat.

I worked with Brett on the purchase of my Porsche Boxster Spyder. He was lightning quick in getting me any information I needed. The entire process was fully transparent. I have purchased more than 20 cars in 25 years and this was by far the smoothest. Highly recommended!
